Got up to 44th in the SE by shaving off .2 at Rome.
Congrats! I spent too many hours of my day off on Rome and managed to improve my time by a whopping 0.02 or something like that. I'm at 50 for SE now.

Thanks, I noticed you improved just a little. I worked on the same track again and managed to knock off another .1 and now im up to 40th for the SE. I think im going to go back to the Cape next weekend (the final weekend for round 1). I will continue on Rome til the weekend come or i somehow break into the 21's
Top 16 would be a worthy goal, since that's the cutoff for round 3.
I started yesterday with all the confidence in the world that I could get close, but Rome kicked my butt. 10-15 clean laps close to my best time, followed by 10-15 laps where I can't hit my marks. Lather, rinse, repeat.
I hope to get some more time in before this round ends, but if I do it won't be much.
Top 16 is the cutoff for round 2.
Top 8 is the cutoff for round 3.
From the rules (looks like a lawyer didn't write these...):
Contest race round 2...The 16 contestants with the highest scores from each Region will move on to Round 3.
Contest race round 3...The eight contestants with the highest scores in Round 3 from each Region will move on to Round 4 Final Round.
Top 16 would be a worthy goal, since that's the cutoff for round 3.

Well, right, that's what I meant. Top 16 to get into round 3. My fingers don't always type what my brain is dictating.
Good luck to everybody in round 2 I think that's when it will start to get really fun.

That's not right, it's 128 move to round 2, and 32 move to round 3. the top 8 move to the finals after round 3.
Then why would they put you in a GT-R (assuming the GT Academy version gets used)?
1st.
Although Dr_3wide_skills has moved up a lot, and might pass me. Annoyingly I need to keep working at this...it might take a 5:10 to win the last effing Playseat.
I see him ahead of you by .017.
I warned u guys about 3wide...the kid is nasty. What makes it even crazier is if you ask him how long he has spent playing GT Academy and GT5 in general he will say, "5 hours".
I have a bad feeling he will post a 2:44.7 or .8 and it'll be over.
I'm not overly thrilled on how this competition is going. There is far too much time in each round so for those of us that also want to finish the game and have other things to do in our life, get passed up because someone can spend 20 hours on it. I would have liked to see a 100 lap limit, the best you can do in 100 laps. In addition to basically having to cheat to even have a chance at being fast at Cape Ring...*sigh* It's so odd because at the beginning of the lap, if you get 2 tires off, you are DQ'd but at the fast section after T2 all four wheels can be off and it counts 👎 Needless to say, everyone is passing my by because of those O well, hope my time is good enough for Round 2.
