Woohoo, just ran a couple of laps at Cape, and shaved about 2 seconds off of my time. Bumped up in the rankings alot. Was in 74th on Cape, now at 42nd. Overall in the region went from 87th to 50th. Still need to find those 4 seconds at Cape, I know where I'm slower at now.
 
im currently 9 in southeast and 37 in the nation. Im to lazy to get back in the top 16 nationally right now given we still have a month left.

The deciding factor is going to be cape ring. 2:45:xxx are possible
 
Sat down for a couple hours tonight and gave it a shot. All clean runs, didn't write down the times but sitting 25th currently overall in the Western region.

Found a better line at Rome and took a couple tenths off at Cape Ring. Currently 19th in the West as I type this. All clean laps.
 
I just follow my ****ing insticnt where to place and where to **** out my machine, its very risky though always hitting death from above. but then once i shave off a perfect time its very worth it, 2nd
 
Last time I was able to access GT5 online was December 23rd and I sat 9th overall in the West region. However, since Christmas Eve morning I haven't been able to access online and annoyingly receive 'A Connection to the Server could not be established' message every single time. So I don't know where I stand at the moment unless someone from the West region can look me up.

Dropped to 22th overnight myself. Going to give it another go.

I'm probably going to just let mine drop for a while. As long as I stay in the top 128, don't really care where I end up.
 
Ranked 5th overall now in my region. 4th on cape 7th on rome and 17th with the stock z
I think I'm done playin till next round, I should be good for top 128 in my region

Thanks for checking. I was able to fix my GT Online network issues, seems GT5 has trouble switching from primary to secondary DNS. I'll give it another go on Sunday evening once I get away from all this family Christmas business.

I'll probably give it another 30 minutes per track. I'm at the limit of my ability at Tsukuba (1:05.5s) and Rome (1:22.2s). However, I know I can take out another .2s with another clean, full lap tarmac/rumble strip run at Cape Ring (1:48.2s as of Dec 23). I believe the last corner exit to the front straight has been killing my time.

I'm waiting on Nissan/PD/Sony's reaction or lack of reaction to the driving lines on Cape Ring. If there is nothing done, I'd have to throw my personal race ethics out the window and start dipping 2 tires on the grass to gain time only if I'm on the bubble.

I might do the same. I'm one spot ahead of you right now and if your time is good enough for the Top 128, I can take it easy.

Otherwise, I'll have to find some time on Cape Ring, especially Turns 15-17.
 
As we get closer to round 2, I'm sure you'll start seeing more and more people very close to each others times. I'm in 52nd now, but in 2 weeks, I could be at 152.

I didn't get to play a couple days because of the holiday, but managed 8th in the Northeast, and like 17th or so in the US.
 
Just got 6th on cape in southeast. I'm pretty happy but I know it can be much better and that's a good thing. My psn is sparklefresh if you want to add me don't have many gt friends

HA - I don't even think I got the poster...probably because of people like you. I didn't get to play at all yesterday evening when everyone was making their end-of-the-week run.

...maybe next week, since you can't win that poster twice - you should probably frame it.
 
Finally got the visiting relatives out of the house and started the whole Academy thing today. I'm 121st in the Southeast.
