When you get GT5... What's your plans?

Like I have mentioned before. Starting over is just a time thing. We will all get there but do you really need to spend all that time to do so.

I'll take any head start they give me. I'm 29 and I have been playing games since I was 4. I don't need the starting over experience that every game gives you. I'm happy to jump right in as deep as I can. When I bought NFS Shift I had a few dollars on my PSN account and I used them to buy my Cobalt instead of my starting money. I used my money for upgrades.

I really think Arcade mode should have all the cars unlocked from the start (Like how you test drive a car in TDU). There are many people who would love GT5 as a driving game but don't have or want to allocate the time to aquire all the cars they would like to drive.

I might be a bit slow on this agenda, but is there actually any information verifying that we will be able to transfer any cars from prologue to the full game, or just a set amount of money in-game?
I'd hope for at least money! I do remember in GT4, you got some credits from having a Gran Turismo Concept save game. (I think it was)

So far all that is verified is your garage from PSP and I think Prologue will transfer to arcade mode.

It wouldn't suprise me if they let you transfer a few credits. I read if I remember correctly that a GT3 save game allowed you to transfer 100k to GT4 and a GT4 prologue save game allowed you to transfer your first two lisences. I am unsure of either as GT3 and 4P are the two GT games I never owned.

I remember reading that your garages from Prologue and PSP will transfer, as well as up to 2 million credits from Prologue.

At least I'm pretty sure...

I FOR SURE remember reading that Kaz wants players to feel that the cars they buy are THEIRS, regardless of what system they bought them on, and thus transferability.

Yea, I will take anything that is added to Arcade Mode, but I don't really want any help on GT Life. Hopefully we have that option.

By the way, this is only referring to the Prologue stuff. Since we already know that the GTPSP cars are transferable to Arcade.

2 mill from prologue? You sure you read that? That would make me very happy.

No, I'm not sure about that part. For sure the cars, though.

Whatever I read may have said that credits would transfer, and I may have just lumped that together with the 2M credit limit on Prologue in my mind.

I'm expecting 100k from prologue to transfer ala GT3. Mabey Prologue is the licences and PSP is the credits. I'm awfully tempted to buy a PSP and GT PSP to get me through the next month.

Hmmm. I see your points. I'm on the fence about Arcade Mode; it'd be nice to have all cars unlocked right away to drive whatever we want... but it'd ruin any surprises GT Mode has, and it would also affect online racing, since you know a bunch of people would gravitate instantly to the fastest offerings.

You mentioned Shift, and I'm sure I've read around here that there was a game that let people use real money to pay for things in the game instead of having to grind to get them. I suppose for a nominal fee that could work for a game as massive as GT too.

For me, I'll be using PSP and Prologue to unlock as many Arcade cars as possible, but I won't be using any helpers for GT Mode. It's just how I am... though I'll playing it so much at the beginning to try and unlock/buy as much as I can to get a solid garage to race with friends. After the important cars are hunted down, I'm sure my statistical progress through the game will slow down. Which I'm fine with, it's about the fun these days now, and racing friends, less about a perfect win ratio or leaderboard times.

Thanks for the input, I'm still pondering to myself whether it would be a good idea or not to transfer cars to GT5 from GT5P, money would be more than welcome though.

The first thing I will be doing is finding the quickest route to getting the Suzuki Liana and opening up the Top Gear test track to test my time against the Stig's....

November 3rd (EU resident here) is a day off for me, so... yeah, play GT5 until my brain melts, basically. I'm single and live by myself, so not a problem socially. =)

It would be because it would only be usable in Arcade mode, not Career mode. If you do choose to transfer, you could test out the physics with all the cars that you had in GT:PSP

1: Drive my friends mad at school.
2: Get lots of homework :(
3: Wet myself when I get out of my last lesson.
4: Get a lift with a friend home (or maybe not as I'll have driven them mad)
5: Get home, find game waiting by door, run upstairs, insert disk, start installation.
6: Make myself a nice cuppa, turn internet on, get settled down with my Apex magazine.
7: Download cromeline cars, test them out on the TG Test Track.
8: Buy some used hot hatch and take it for a drive in the rain at the nurburghring, in the rain, preferably in cockpit view (hopefully it'll be premium.)
9: Start process of turning it into a racing car.

Well as expected my PS3 died on me about a month ago. I haz replacement and I'm getting the old one fixed but the data is gone. I'll be starting from scratch and, to be honest, I'm perfectly happy with that. I got a week off work and I'll use that time to get all my licenses and a reasonable collection of Ford Gt's then I'll be heading online for party time!

1.) Look at all the cars.
2.) Look at all the races.
3.) Start doing licenses with my new G27!
4.) When I feel I am good enough with the wheel to actually race, I'll start doing races.

1. Take a week off work
2. Visit supermarket for a weeks worth of supplies
3. Shut curtains, start install
4. Get blazed
5. Take the go karts around the Nürburgring

1. Do licence tests and aquire the prize cars (if applicable)
2. Drive a few tracks to get familiar with them again
3. Have hour after hour of fun on the Nurburgring
4. Start doing beginner races...

1. One day off work (girlfriend will not :) )
2. Switch off mobile and landline, shut doors and windows.
3. Start PS3, Projector, HomeTeather, and set the wheelstand in perfect position.
4. During installation I'll give a quick look at all the Signature Edition stuff.
5. Start the game and go straight through the licenses (as always!)
6. Begin racing offline until I'll be able to jump on the Veyron...

If I had a PS3 and got GT5, the first thing I would do...is.....jump in a car, run it round the test track. Do this with 90 odd cars, then start the career mode, beginning with license tests!

Fill up the fridge with junkfood and red bull

Install the game
Go to the nissan dealership > honda dealership > aston martin dealership
Check if it has a blue viper gts with white stripes
Do license test for 1 license
Spend hours thinking about what car to buy first
race..

Another thing I will be doing is to teach my 15 year old son to drive using only GT5 as the teaching aid, and when I am confident he has the necessary skills and understanding, give him the keys to my Nissan S14 and say "Alright, lets see what you can do."

Hey all,

It is finally time. Yes it is time to put your plans in action. Say what you do not have any plans well doubt that if you are a member of GTPLANET.

Well started phase 1 of my plans today and it is the foundation of any other plans. That would be getting my original PS3 fixed and up and running again. Please include my system in your prayers and that all things will be right in the world once it is up running again. It has been down and out for about 6 months now. My life has taken a major change during this time period also. However learning to deal with and make the most of every day.

I am so glad that I did not give into temptation and join the Forza bandwagon. Nothing wrong with that if you did or can afford both. I rented it at least twice while visiting relatives and have looked at hundreds of liveries online.

I personally feel that GT5 will deliver on a major level. It is easy to forget how much that it will have to offer and how much we do not know about it.

If you dwell on the negative and only think about the negative then that is what you will see and perhaps even overlook the positive.

GT5 is about the experience and passion and love for the automotive world.

I am on vacation the week that we get to experience GT5

I will enjoy it for sure and without a doubt. However will not burn myself out on it in the first few weeks or months. It will be around for awhile and I plan on enjoying every aspect of it.

Happy GT5 day to each and everyone of you.

Have lots of work to do between now and then so am going to try my best to resist the temptation to check GTPLANET and not be spoiled with information anymore than already have. Hope to see you on a track somewhere soon in the not to distant future.
