Take a day off work.
Play with the settings.
Complete the first license.
Buy a car and start racing.

That's the first few things l'll do. :)

Since I don't even have the game yet, I do not know how their experience system works. I did get a brief look at some of the events where a player has to be on a certain level in order to attend. Why put an RPG system (experience, player level) into GT5? I don't know, but that's what I thought it looks like.

Level 20 A-Spec and Level 10 B-Spec? Seems like a low target. I intend to get max level at both.

I'll drive an m3 on the nurburgring :drool:
Then I'll hopefully get an MX-5 just as in gt3 or an FC rx-7 just like in GT4 and start my career. Then I'll go on to try an online race. And finally go back to the career and make enough money to buy the M3 (with other cars in between) and then it's just downhill from there car buying car racing madness. so many things to do! can't wait.

I got a 4 day weekend afterwards. I preordered my copy already from bestbuy. Here's what I would do after I get the game
1. Check my e-mail to see if I got the code for the stealth nissan gt-r gt500 that best buy offers when I pre-ordered it from best buy.
2. use that code to get the nissan in my garage.
3. Mess around with the course maker with the nissan gt-r.
4. finish the first and/or second set of license tests
5. start racing the events!
6. upgrade that nissan until it's maxed out
7. set-up the nissan with my dad.
8. probably mess around the photo mode with the nissan
9. post some tme trials on youtube when the nissan is maxed out

Browse through the menus, browse through the track list, buy a reasonably priced car and start on the licence tests. Once I've got as many licences as I can I'll save up and buy a C63 AMG, then drive it round the Nurburgring.

Try out photo mode and take a selection of pictures of my purchased car.

Schnell! Das Auto!!

It makes sense really, you can't expect to pass your driving test in real life and just hop into an F1 car or something like that.

My pans will be...

I already told my Girl Friend that I will get GT5 soon that I waited 5 years for, and that I will play it for few nights straight, so I apologizes to her that I wont contact her much for those first few days, well she understood :D

I will buy some quick foods and some junk foods.
Mexican Bottled Coca Cola (Yes made with real sugar compared to US BS that they give us)
Enjoy the game
hmm what ealse?
Oh make sure I have another clean pair of Underwear since I will **** my pants once I buy my first car in game!

1) Look at all the cars
2) Complete license tests (will probably wait until later in the the game to go for all golds)
3) Start doing races
4) try online

As Justin said! = )
After a while I'll transfer my GT5P cars if possible. It's kind of cheating doing that early, so I'll do it when I got just as good cars.

The RPG system is one of the things I love the most about GT5. It just makes sense.

You start off driving slow cars with little money. You slowly move up the ranks, gaining licenses, gaining cars, gaining money.

Otherwise it's just an arcade game where you go pick a fast car, pick a track and drive. That could get boring. I like that you have challenges and things to move up.

Get to the level when I can buy all Ferrari's and do so. Then drive every one in competition :D Then leveling out for the endurance races, can't wait for that!

I agree.

First car I wil buy will have around 100-140 HP. I dont want a MX5 or some kind of an older EVO car that will blast though 10 first races with ease. I want some challange, the Leveling system is great.

Any info how it works?

Some cars in dealers say its level 10 or 15, does that mean I can not buy them till I get level 15? or does that mean I can not race them untill I reach level 15, but I can do TT and Practice modes with them.

Well, give it a try for an hour or two, and then park it for about 5-6 days :( Unfortunately I have my exams on Thursday, Friday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. But after that, I have a 4-day weekend, so those days my PS3 will come close to flames :D

Ok, I posted here before, a very very long time ago, but here goes again.

1. Break out the cockpit and play GT5:P so I can see the difference 2 1/2 years has made

2. Wait (im)patiently at the doorstep for my copy to arrive via FedEx (I had to pre-order the CE from amazon because it was sold out at all the retail stores I had access to)

3. Turn up the speakers very, very, very loud. Far too loud.

4. Watch the intro movie (again, at this point) and drool

5. Adjust all the settings to my liking

6. Set up the BGM feature and start playing my (already made) GT5 playlist, 4 hours and 500MB long

7. Try a few time trials / races in Arcade mode in a not-too-fast car

8. Licenses! Oh joy. Free cars, at least

9. Which I'll use for the sunday cup and the like

10. Downhill from there ;)

Keep doing races until i can start doing endurance races, get a McLaren F1 and try not to get **** everywhere

Well, first I'm going to read the manual front to back, play a little with the toycar, look at the USB-key and attach the keychain to my car keys and last read the 200 page Driving guide at bedtime.

Well. who am I kidding, will rip of the plastic, throw my shoes and start the game, view the intro and then start playing, later I will proberly do some of the above, like next year :D

Well, traditionaly, I do the licenses first and then I start the career. This time though (considering everything we've been through), I think I'll change it completely:

1- Throw Forza3 in the trashcan (just kidding, haven't earned all achievements yet... once I get them, in a year or two from now, as GT5 is going to take my whole time, then it'll go to the trash, as I hate its guts tremendously hard). Admire GT5's box, the manual and the disc;
2- Like "Marry_Me_GT" said, I'll cry and scream up and down my street "It's here, it's here, they ******* released it" LOL (good times, good times !!);
3- Install the 10GBs, and appreciate the slideshow (if there is going to be any), and laugh at all Forzas while I'm at it, seeing on the slides that GT5 is so much detailed even down to the racing gear (helmets, gloves, etc...), and that Forza is a half-made software which uses "pizza delivery guy" helmets **lol** (single colored, no texture, no brand, nothing) and narcissistic gloves (F-III branded-gloves, instead of Sparco or other);
4- Watch the intro, although I did not like it (specially MCR), it will be in HD and not an iphone video this time;
5- I don't care for manuals, but I may read the in-game manual this moment;
6- Disable music for "race", then forget about arcade and go straight into "GT Life" and drool over the cars in the dealerships. Inspect everything, menus, cars, dealers, tracks, everything;
7- Inspect arcade to see if there are any unlocked cars. If there aren't any, I'll create a fake off-line account to test the transfer of GT5P cars and credits and see how this affects arcade and "GT Life" modes;
8- With the results and consequences of GT5P data transfer now known, decide to transfer the data on my main account or not (probably not, as I like to build my garage and fame from scratch);
9- I love to create stories on my mind when playing, so, having transfered GT5P credits or not, the first thing I'll do is pretend I have 7 years old, go and buy a go-kart (trying to spend every single initial credits of the game on this go-kart, if I haven't transfered GT5P credits I mean), and then I'll go straight to the kart events and beat them fully. After "growing up", my "need for speed" (oops!) will be too strong to resist, and I'll move from karts to tour cars :) lol, eventually returning to racing karts, just for the pleasure they give me, from time to time;
10- After the kart events and earning money from these events to buy a used car, I'll do any races that do not require a license, as a younger driver who is testing himself to see if he's good enough to turn amateur/semi-pro/pro/expert (to have a career);
11- After all non-license required events completed (or until I can't afford any cars to participate in these "license-free" events), I'll be convinced of my talent (lol), so I'll do the "FIA" licenses (maybe all at one time, maybe just the ones I need in the moment) to properly start my racing career as a professional;
12- Then, go from there :)

Plus, name my B-Spec drivers as Senna, Prost, Mansell and other F-1 celebs :) lol. Then, learn how to properly manage their personalities, as I will want them very very sharp 'cause of the names they're carrying. Then on 24hr events, I'll use them when I decide my turn is over for a given moment of the race.

I'll probably do all these same things on GT6 :)

PS: I talked to a friend who works at a retailer to ask him for a favor. His store is quite expensive comparing to other retailers, but I may be able to get it from him on the 23rd, since he knows me !!! YEEEEEEEIIIIIIHHHHH !! :) It's in another town, 2 hours on the road to go, 2 more to come back home. But if his store can get copies early, it will be worthy :)

Probably just check everything out, all the menu's and events and stuff in GT mode, then look at the cars, then probably have an arcade race before getting into the licences and some Sunday cup!
