1. Read the instructions on the way home in the car after buying the game.
2. Pop in the disc and watch the intro.
3. Head to Arcade Mode and HOPE AND PRAY that they have the Toyota Aygo so I can get in a bit of Car Football ;)
4. Car Football ;)
5. GT Mode, browsing the new cars, then the Used Cars and buying one.
6. Start the Beginner Races.
7. Go Online and Eff about.
8. Earn mawneh, 'livery editor' (perhaps), buy more cars.
9. Complete 50% or so.
10. Transfer garage from GT5P and finish the rest of the game. ;) :P

EDIT: I may also buy an AE86 and 'Livery Edit' it to look like the Trueno from Initial D, set it up for Drift, and maybe Touge or Midnight Touge with friends, or Tandem Drift online.. Hmmm... So much to do, so litttle time.. Thanks School -_-

Get the game, get my wheel, get a HDCP PC monitor, get a playstation eye and just play.

I've already pre ordered the game and I've got a wheel. Now just the other 2.

1-take 1 week off work

2-w8 for text message on my cell from gamestore that my preorder has arrived , while moving ps3 to basement

3-pedal to the metal on cold engine to gamestore , ripping game out salesman hands , pedal to metal back home

4-install the 10gb while reading manual...

5-fast look at all the brands , and what i can buy whit start money (Japanese car)

Taking into consideration the new b-spec mode that allows you to monitor the race from the web (read work), I think I'll never turn the console off, or remove the game disc ever again.

Hmmm...I'm not 100% to my words when it comes to what I'm going to do once I get the game, but I'd want to stumble around the dealerships, looking at the cars, thinking "I want this car! Oh 🤬, 1 million cr.?!?!"

I also want to check out the track editor, license tests, car delivery (sounds awesome :P), used cars, and the GT Shop.

Why won't november be here already!

I do not know. I will try to learn to drive in the first stages... I want to get the hand led to "first" licenses. In online go when brush up.

A question for those in the USA... what is my best bet for ensuring I get GT5 on November 2nd or earlier? I'm tempted to pre-order, but have a fear my copy will somehow arrive on November 3rd instead. I guess it's not's really an issue to go to the store to get it on the day, but if there's even a chance I could get it earlier...

And to answer the OP...

Leading up to the release of GT5, I'll read a healthy dose of Car and Driver, Motor Trend, and any other piece of auto literature I can get my hands on. I find reading about cars makes me me want to drive them... thus making the GT5 experience much more enjoyable.

I'll probably take a few days off work, stock up on snacks and drinks, and drive till my wife threatens to leave me :)

In the US, games usually do come out on Tuesdays, and since Nov. 2nd is a Tuesday 💡

Your best bet is to preorder from a store as opposed to preordering on the internet. Stores like Gamestop and Best Buy will be releasing the game on the 2nd. I doubt they will release it early though. It seems only Mom-&-Pop (little) stores sell it early....SOMETIMES.....

This is one thing that I have been thinking about. Kaz stated about the races you can do on the web. If I am correct I would be thinking this has nothing to do with your console and everything to do with your lounge. And if you did races while at work or on vacation your console and save data would be updated when you turned it back on.

Does anyone share this idea with me?

Well I got to work all day so like 7-5, then probably head to GameStop and pick it up. Come home, make some dinner and play for a couple hours before deciding I'm overly tired and hitting the sheets. I won't really be able to play until the weekend hits, having a real job now gets in the way of me being a kid sometimes .

like someone said above, pre-order it from a good old brick n mortar store. if you're REALLY antsy and want it earlier, try a bunch of gamestops or best buys that may do midnight openings. gamestop's probably the best bet for a midnight opening, but they only do so if they pre-sell X number of copies. ask them if they're at that mark. another idea is to pre-order from a walmart that's open 24 hours a day. they may sell at midnight as well.

another consideration: if you want the collector's edition, you may want to pre-order it as soon as possible because i read somewhere that those are going to be limited run.

enjoy a morning with my daughter who is due oct 26th : ))), run to blockbusters and pick up my copy : )). carry my tv, ps3, speakers and seat into basement and begin

Walk into any store and pick it off the shelf. You don;t have to worry about GT5 selling out, unless SONY presses a limited number of disks just so they can say they sold out.

im gonna download all 10gb of it, figure out where to display my diecast GTR, then read the apex book while celebrating with others on GTPlanet! and show off my CE to my friend who got the standard ed.!!

I dont know. I have the CE preordered through GameStop. Chances are slim to none they will do a midnight release, killing sims and sports games are the big sellers.

I'm tempted to go to WalMart if they will put it out at midnight. My daughter could then use the standard version on her PS3. Seriously thinking about it...

Convincing Wifey Pooh if this won't be easy

1. Setting options
2. Browse as much menus and dealerships (briefly) I can
3. Start career
4. Go to TGTT or a little shakedown
5. Go to photomode, and post some pics on facebook, to make my friends jelaous :D

You can bet, what ever plans I have...

The Wife will have another!!!

Perhaps I should invest in a Marriage councillor!! or perhaps a relaxing SPA for her that week.. :)

oh man ... you're gonna miss all the precious first few months with your daughter :) j/k.

here's a name suggestion for her though: Turisma ... run it by your wife and tell us how big the frying pan is that she hits you with ;)

First, change my boxers as I'm sure they will be saturated with joy. Then I will put the game into my ps3 and frantically fornicate with myself to the sheer presence of the game as the opening video plays. Once that's over ill have an emotional breakdown trying to figure out what to do with myself now that its finally here.
