Check calendar, pray that wife is working.

Load up GT5, drool. Turn off anticipated, and annoying, GT jazz music.

Hop in Fiat 500 (yep, the old one). Amble slowly, very slowly, around the Nürburgring, taking in the scenery.

Swap the Fiat for something a tad faster. Thrash the hell out of the Nürburgring.

Eat.

Back to GT5.

Wife comes home, looks at me despairingly...

See all cars and hope that Lancia Stratos

Do the licenses
Go to the races
Online

Read manual
Watch intro 5/6 times
Listen to awesome menu music
Play 19 hours odd non-stop! :)

I'm going to pour through the dealership car lists for about 20 minutes and drool at the level of detail on the premium models, while I play around with the calibration settings on my tv.

Remember to stock up on easy to eat food and set alarm for every 2 hours in order to do some stretches, or short walks to get the blood flowing again:tup:

My 1st order of the day would be to buy the Civic EK CTR, and then to Tsukuba to get used to the new physics - i'll only go online after a week or so - must get used to physics 1st!:sly:

There's nothing like getting a game you have been looking forward to for a long time but it's also really frustrating as it's hard to dedicated the time you want to such a game. I'm afraid I'll be very busy about the time this is released. :(

I will do licence test and play career mode off-line first!...let's say for one week or so...
then i will appoint with my mades and burn rubber online while talking to them via headset on skype...
so much fun to hear others' comments when you overtake them...LOL

- Head to the Renault dealership to see if my car (Laguna Coupe GT) has made it in
- Cry if it hasn't
- Comfort eat

11 months on, I'm still going to do my licenses first before taking a good old look around the various dealerships.

Proabably do as I did with GT4, just have a breif look around certain dealers, look at the tracks. However, then I think I will have to check out the track creator as it's the one feature I'm most looking forward to. :)

ummm its hard to say really what I'll do first. I want to drive a few cars on Nurburgring, I want to get started right away on the career so I can unlock cars and have money to upgrade cars, and I also want to try the track editor. Still have TGS coming up so who knows what will be shown there to add to my dilemma.

So much to do and not enough time.

The game will be getting treated to a new PS3 slim, the 60GB has had alot of use.

Then it'll be a G27 wheel, nice new tv......... maybe 3d.

From there play all the licences and some career mode offline before playing some online :)

If I have enough money for one as my first car, I'm a DeLorean and then taking it out to Laguna Seca!! :D. Then, I'm gonna do a few races, collect some funds and buy a few small cars and soup them up like crazy! :D

First, some licences ( bronze will do). Second, a cheap, beaten Japanese car (MX-5/Trueno/MR2/S13 etc etc). Third.. PROFIT! Fourth: Restart the domination campaign of the MFT in GT5.. :mischievous:

It's been a while since I played a GT game, so I'll may be a bit off.

1.Read the Manual.
2.Admire the intro.
3.Setup the options, video options, etc.
4.Look at all the cars in the dealerships.
5.Try driving some fast cars on Arcade Mode.
6.Try out the new stuff on Arcade Mode.
7.After #5 and 6, buy--either used or new--the Mitsubishi Evo X.
8.If I can't afford the Evo X, I'll maybe just complete all the license tests and get me some reward cars as compensation.
9.Drive for real.

For #7: Maybe not the Evo X, maybe the AE86. I don't know what to choose. Maybe while I do #4 I'll find the car I'll need to begin A-Spec. :P

1. Gently take out the disc and slowly insert it into the PS3
2. Admire the case and manual
3. Go straight to the settings, change the units from KPH to MPH, basically everything to imperial, set uP custom soundtracks, re-map the controls.
4.Go to arcade mode to get a feel of the physics and test drive some premiums.
5.Go to GT mode (Life) and check out the manufaturers to see whats there, admire some cars.
6. License tests.
7.Buy an old Evo or RX-7 as a starter car (if possible) and work my way through GT! :D

Its certain I wont get any sleep the night before.

I will definitely start by looking at the box
Then ill go through the dealership
Then Ill buy myself a Japanese car with potential as I always do in Gran Turismo
Then its license time

But ill be looking forward to stuff like, driving at night on the Nurburging, with a 190e evo against a BMW e30 M3 (They HAVE to have the M3 they can't miss such a legendary car)

Day before:
Get snacks and drinks, cook a pot of mince for quick food for the next 5 days. See girlfriend for goodbye loving prior to my hibernation.

After game arrival:
Admire box.
Watch the intro.
Get very excited.
Sort out settings (MPH, turn off in race music, turn down in menu sound effects, see if there's a no HUD option).
Browse dealerships, TVR first, look for muscle cars too.
Check used car lot for awesome old FR car of any description.
Licences.
Check used car lot for awesome old FR car of any description.
Play for pretty much 5 days (booked Wednesday, Thursday and Friday off work...)

Main variations will be if I find an awesome FR car early on, I shall take it out on the track for a play, definitely try track creator to see what the scenery options are like.

Can't wait.

Tuesday 2nd November. Around 11.30am the postman hopefully arrives with my copy of GT5.

11.30-5pm Watch intro 20x and then start with the licences.
6pm-11pm continue with licences but I will spend 1hr in My Lounge to see how online works. May even create a private room and have a quick race with friends.

I will continue to do the above for the next 14 days. After this my timetable will be playing GT5 from late afternoon onwards.
