Go to all the dealerships and see which cars are in and how they look like. Hopefully they have the option to open the doors/hood in the showroom with a moveable camera to get better looks of the car.

Watch some replays of some of the races down the road, namely the 24 hour races and a NASCAR race.

I'll try not to spoil myself too much, so I will probably only spend 15 minutes foolling around before I go buy an used Japanese car to run the C class races.

I'll try to take all the surprises slowly

Probably buy a Renault Clio V6, when tuned they seem to be faster than any other car on every track, good money maker.

1 - Set up my controller layout.
2 - Licenses, at least the first basic ones.
3 - Go car shopping for some basic but a good platform to start with.
4 - See how and in what ways the car can be modified, inside and out.
5 - Earn some cash to begin tuning mildly.
6 - Earn lots more cash to buy a more meaty RWD to tune to drift.

Hopefully I'll have my frame and seat all finished by the time it arrives. My G25 arrived today, so now I just have to get creative with an old car seat and some metal :)
And for me it will go something along the lines of:
1. Turn lights off (yes I will have to wait for night time as I have work then when I get home I have my gorgeous partner and son who will need attention...)
2. Somehow manage to get my aforementioned gorgeous partner off me because when I turned the lights off she thought it was business time. GT5 comes first tonight babe!
3. Turn amp up
4. Get snacks and beer
5. Watch intro movie whist sitting in my driving seat
6. Realize I can't touch my leather bound G25 after having beer and snacks
7. Wash hands
8. NOW IT'S BUSINESS TIME. General exploring, license tests, generally the same as all you other fine gents are suggesting :)

Take a week off work, live in my playseat. Do licenses and try online a bit first then go into championship. Buy a GTR 35 09 spec asap :P

1. Walk to my car
2. Start my car and drive home
3. Turn PS3 on
4. Switch the tv on
5. watch the intro the first and last time
6. Play
6a. Go through the dealerships, browse through the menu
6b. Get the required licences
6c. Buy my first car
6d. Play my first race.
7. wash myself up, take a drink, put on new boxershorts, take a bite and then probably call my girlfriend that she can stop pushing the doorbell, I won't open op, not even after these last 4 days. ;)

Stab my boss, cuz calling sick gets you what? one day? nahh, i need like 2 weeks son!
Do like Rents from Trainspotting and barricade myself in a room, with "3 buckets" , 20 cans cream of mushroom soup and lucozade.
Hire a young maid with a stick and a sponge at the end, to bathe me as i play.

Play and play and play.

then a week later take Sony's advice and take a 15 minute break.

1. I'm going open it up.
2. Put the game in/ More then likely a small install
3. Take a #2
4. Read the manual as I take that #2
5. Take a nap
6. Watch the intro
7. Scroll the menus
8. License test
9. Race the Cilo you'll get
10. Then more then likely not sleep that night.
11. Get a speeding ticket the next day for taking the Apex of every turn.

Play Gt5, then study, then play more GT5, then study some more, then play GT5, and so on and so forth, until test day comes and crap my pants that I know more about GT5 then Chemistry.

I didn't know where to post this but the MODS on this forum are the best I've ever seen-

someone who hasn't been here in a long time

It had to be said and I didn't want to start another thread

since i have all cars in gt5p and 2 mill credits :)..
i'm going to buy a bugatti veyron and ferrari enzo (maybe ffx) and alot of supercars, and than i'm going to a cool track and race the cars with my g25 👍

There is no confirmation that Prologue cars and credits will roll over to GT5.

1. Make a CD with my favourite songs to put on the PS3 and then finally in GT5 (I need some really hard music to drive, Deathcore ^^)
2. Install it
3. Watch the Intro Movie
4. Discover the game (Arcade, Simulation Mode, Dealerships, and so on)
5. Set the options for driving
6. Do Licences
7. Make a few races
8. Do Licences in Gold
9. Finish the game
And sometimes go online ;)

About that, I have 8 F1, 6 Citroen... well you get the point. Loads and loads of duplicate cars. Hope we can transfer all of them, so I can sell them and make some serious cash to add to the 2mil and get me started faster :)

Of course I will eventually restart the game and do it all from scratch. In a year or more :)

1) Look at all the cars
2) Complete license tests (will probably wait until later in the the game to go for all golds)
3) Start doing races
4) try online

You read mi mind....

Oops I forgot, take at least 2 days off at work....

Ok, my plan is to take out the plastic wrap off GT5, turn on my PS3, plug my G25 in.. etc. :dunce:

Lol but for real,

  • Discover the menu, any hidding thing
  • License test is definetly the first thing I look towards to
  • Once I'm done with that, find a car with good performance overall & price..

I'm hoping some what similiar but different to how I started GT4.

As soon as we find out the release date, I'm taking a few days off work.

Other than that, plans are mainly:

Watch the intro for the first and last time
Turn off race music and sort out G25 controls etc.
Start GT Mode
Have a quick look around, see if there are used cars available...
Licences
Buy a cheap FR car and get stuck in...

(...)
Watch the intro for the first and last time
Turn off race music(...)

I can never watch that when I turn a GT game on. I'm always to eager to drive! Usually see it online time and time again on the PC, but it takes me many months to actualy see it in the PS

Now "turn off race music", that's well remembered 👍

- Get a couple of liscences
- Buy a Civic or CRX
- Save for a Silvia S13
- Keep it and customise it for as long as I can.

• Let the PS3 copy what ever in needs off the disk to it's hardrive.
• Options - Sound - Turn off in-game music.
• Options - Display - switch to MPH.
• Poke around in menus.
• Do some licence tests.
• Buy NA MX-5.
• Go racing!

i did read 2 through 8 pages... some haliarous and similar to my plans in your posted plans. keep em coming after TGS!

do what i usually do, look at all the dealers cars and used cars, glance at the licenses, look at the courses and races, set my settings to my liking, repeat, then im off to the races... well license actually LoL!

see if all cars have cockpit view and also if steering wheel rotation animaion is fixed to 1:1 ratio.

why wouldn't they all have cockpit view ???

1- go in tuned section to watch features
2- go in car manufacturer to watch how many kinds of lamborghini and ferrari there are, or maybe find new brands
3- gold in license test, until this is not finish i will not start the races...
4- after all start game with a civic..
