Ooo ooo ooooo pick me pick me. Yeah, I've heard a racing '69 Camaro with full racing exhaust headers and no muffling what-so-ever. My friend's brother ( http://www.historictransam.com/Drivers/ChadRaynal.htm ) races the historic Trans-Am cars: http://www.historictransam.com/homepage.htm His Camaro sounds mean, but you should hear an entire race with about 7 cars going past you at one time; they all sound incredible.Foamy302(edited)I Really wish that those assholes at Polyphony Digital could actually get the sound of cars correct.
they claim that all the cars have been recorded!!!!!!!!
BULL****!!!!!
None of the American cars sound the way they do.
**** has anyone ever heard a 69' Camaro with a 350 and racing exaust???
it sounds nothing like it does on the game.
I'm so pissed that i might not even buy the Next game!!!!

I hope that link works. If not, just copy and paste it into your browser.
63AvantiR3I'll second that motion. The sound in GT4, though improved over GT3, completely sucks!
Add in the C5-R, Saleen S7, Shelby Cobra & Mustang, Plymouth 'Cuda, Dodge Charger, Panoz GTR-1, Pontiac GTO, 1963 & 1969 Corvettes... You get where I'm going with this list. Go to a real race and walk through the paddock when the Saleen S7 comes rolling by you. Or go stand by Corvette's garage space in the morning when they fire up their 427 cubic inch beast. They sound exceptionally awesome! There is so much throaty roar and bass in an American V-8 that either P.D. couldn't capture or couldn't replicate accurately so they made the cars sound like they have a whiny little 4 or 6 cylinder. New cars with catalytic converters don't sound as throaty as an older or race prepped car, but the new ZO6 and Mustang Cobra R don't sound as they should either.
I bought the Courage C60 prototype with the Judd V-10 just because I needed a prototype and it had the Judd V-10. That Judd is a sweet sounding screamer. I also like the way a Volkswagen/Audi VR6 sounds. The R32 dropped the ball as far as sound is concerned in GT4.
I grade Polyphony Digital and Sony a big, fat, juicy F in their sound department.
I dare the game developers take audio clips from GT4 to the ALMS or Grand-Am Cup and tell the guys that "this" is what a C5-R or Judd V-10 sounds like. The teams would simply laugh in their face and fire the real car up. I have a feeling that the game developers would look at each other and pee themselves. Like in Crocodile Dundee, "That ain't a knife ... this is a knife." Get the sound right or sub-contract to a company who can.
QuattroWhich car is for you the best sounding one in GT4??
gsavill90What about the RUF RGT, completly silent on the bumper cam, or whatever it is.
Really weird.
skyline786I wish the sounds in gt4 could be a little more lifelike and realistic. Why couldnt they make the Mustang sound like the one in Neen For Speed Un 2 when fully tuned? That is a sound i can never get tired of!
Yeah, but give it exhaust and it sounds like **** just like the Ford GT LM race car with the wing.ba5hno no no, get a ford gt and hear it roar, giv the car a little rev and it sounds like a muscle car đź‘Ť đź‘Ť đź‘Ť đź‘Ť đź‘Ť
