None, ever, and I can't imagine anything more galling than spending real money on a car only to be awarded it in a Daily Workout the same day. Even worse than getting up to 20m, buying a 20m car and then having it turn up in Daily Workout...
Agreed 100%. I did buy the 787B straight after firing up the PS4, but I used ingame credits.

Bought them all by selling a few Cobras from my collection. 0 credits now and a couple useless GR.X cars in my garage. At least I'll get credits for racing again, been stuck on 20 million for a long time.

Oh, you said cash, none!

Hi guys, where I can find cash update from? I try find on PS store but what title to find the gt what? Thanks guys.
"Cash update"?

GT Sport v1.23 - the most recent update to the game - now allows you to buy any car worth 2m in-game credits or less from the PS Store. If your GT Sport hasn't updated to v1.23, go to GT Sport in your main console menu, press the Options button and select "Check for Update".

Once this update is installed, you are able to select "Buy from the PlayStation Store" when you go to purchase any car in the game. However this service doesn't start for EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) players until August 2nd.

It is all explained here: https://www.gtplanet.net/microtransactions-have-arrived-in-gran-turismo-sport/

Yeah but what is the chances of buying a 250gto and then getting it in a daily? (going on that hypothetical)

Unlikely. Let's go down a bit... has anyone ever won something like a Group C?

Let's see people win the Mercedes W08 first.

Never. Ever. This micro-payments stuff is why I hate Forza, FFS I drop $100AUD on a game, WTF am I going to want to spend another $300AUD on new cars - screw that!

From a marketing point of view it's almost a suicide IMO. I can't even believe someone greeenlighted this at Sony.

Why wouldn't Sony give it the go ahead? It's more money in their pocket. As for it being suicide it's likely the opposite, microtransactions in games can make a hell of a lot of money for a studio provided they don't start taking advantage of players. It gives them a steady stream of income while they work on new things (like the many free updates we've been getting!)

EDIT: Look at the "Ultimate Team" system in EA games, the transactions from that alone made $800 million annual net revenue in 2016/2017 and $650 million the year before that (http://www.playstationlifestyle.net...am-revenue-now-800-million-implemented-games/)

I bought the Ferrari 250gto.👍
I am now broke! :nervous:
Hope to win some of the other cars in the daily mileage prize.

Before to spend all the money buy some "VENENO" to sell after .... (remember the ADDER TRUFFADE of GTA5 ..)

None.

Had just shy of 12mil before update, and bought every car except the Ferrari.

Now I have every car in the game aside from the XJ13, Miura and the 250 GTO. Got the P4 as a daily reward.

I've got 6mil to spare now, as I bought a couple of others that I was missing, so now I just continue racing, some Spotify + X-Bow farming when I'm too lazy to use the wheel, and eventually I'll either have the cash to buy them, or get lucky in the daily workout.

I got the 20 mil Jag.

The average hourly minimum wage in the United States is $7.50 / hr.

At 2,000,000 Cr. for the Mercedes F1, that's what, at least 2 hours to grind the shortest grindfest event to get that car.

So there's very little utility in grinding for a user (enjoyment), and there's very little cost-effectiveness even if the user makes **** money.

I have zero issue with users deciding that the opportunity cost of grinding justifies spending a few bucks on a car they want.

Would you rather spend $3 on a car, around 20 minutes of labour, or 120 minutes of labour?

12 min per race with Praiano's Porsche (N300) at Blue Moon. Pay-out - 345 000 cr. That's about 1 1/4 hrs...

Edit: Sorry, that's N400.

This is actually not a bad move by Sony/PD in my opinion. There are enough people whining about not getting X car in the daily roulette or about the grind or casual folks that can't earn enough to purchase the pricier cars that a few bucks expense could be justifiable if it is one or two. As long as there aren't exclusive cars for purchase I don't have a problem with it. I won't be using it myself but as it stands I think it's OK. Paid DLC would irritate me but we'll see what happens.

If PD need the extra income to produce a product that competes with other games that do bring in revenue from microtransactions, then this particular business model works fine for me too. No one who is unprepared to pay any extra for a game is left without content as, so far, any DLC has come in the form of game updates, which i assume are compulsory for anyone who wishes to continue playing the game. Aside from maybe a dozen or so cars i really wanted, most of my garage is fodder gifted to me via the Daily Workout bonus anyway. If there's a car i really want i'm happy to put in the hours/laps to earn it.

It seems a bit odd that for a game where the grind has always been a major feature that people love to hate hate to love, that their targeted audience for MT cash-cows are not long time Gran Turismo fans, who for them, 'the grind' is all part of the Gran Turismo experience, but instead they seem to target those players who are maybe newer to the series and more inclined towards the instant gratification of just buying a car when they feel they want it instead of investing time into earning it, which has always been the GT way of games past.

But if it works for PD/Sony this way, then great. As long as it's not a slippery slope to the kind of MT's that seem to plague other games.

None, the moment I am forced to buy a car from the PlayStation store will be when I retire from GT Sport.

Spent enough real money buying GTA Dollars to say never again to any micro transactions, there are an evil of society and should
be eliminated as soon as possible.

Don’t forget the electricity for the TV and PS4!

As I have a desire to collect all cars, I now may consider buying the cheaper cars with cash, to preserve the credits for the 2Mil+ cars.

However, I’m now only in need of the latest 20mil Ferrari, so won’t be spending any cash in the near future.

Lots of great points made above, the frustration of buying cars then getting them for free. I’m not that lucky though as I am still waiting to be given those expensive cars from the daily workout.

And also, the value of time... $3 vs hours of grinding time.

So for me right now, to get my last car, I either have to grind, or hope to get daily cars that I bought, to then sell.

As soon as my game updated I purchased the 250 GTO. And going by how long I have spent with such a car in photomode. It is worth every penny. 👍

...bought all 7 DLC cars (only original W08, no color versions), with in game cache on first day DLC came out... And I am not planing to add a dime for cars except if they release payed DLC's, and for those I'll consider it before buying...

Had about $105 in my PS Wallet. Spent about $60 buying all of the really expensive cars, and I sold all of the ones I had bought with credits. Went from 1,100,000cr. to around 5,000,000cr.

Missed the W08 by one on the first day it was added! I've won two group C's, the P4 and all the real Gr1 cars all through the wheel of death so it can happen. But you are correct it is unlikely that the aforementioned events would happen :)

Bought the W08 colour variant to test if we could sell them back for credits. Alas, no.

Only cars I need now are: Ferrari 250 GTO, Jaguar XJ-13, R18 TDi (win only) and the Lamborghini Miura.

Looks like I'd better load up Blue Moon Bay! The 250 GTO is my favourite car of all time along with the Jaguar D-Type long nose.

I’ve been wanting the 20 mil Jag and P4 since I got the game. I saved up and got the Jag and decided last week to save up for the P4....now another 20mil car comes on the scene and I need it:banghead:. I’d be tempted to pay cash for one of those, depending on how much cash. But I still don’t think I could bring myself to do it.
