Some form of donation? lol...none, why would anyone buy anything at all, all cars are in game lol
Ok.. I subjectively think that you are worried about the wrong direction.Only thing I bought was the Hamilton DLC...
Don't gonna spend a single penny on cars of a game you can achieve playing.
Only thing that can happen supporting this "micropayments" is that for the next game they increase the virtual prices of the cars even more so they push players to get those micro transactions for completing their garage.
It could be a Sony thing. Out of all the sports games that I know of, MLB The Show has the least 'predatory' mtx system.Over the years, there are still many people who have serious prejudices and misunderstandings about this. I can understand that it is because many manufacturers in the industry abuse this system to cause a general bad impression.
But PD is really not EA or something like EA.
My personal feeling is that the microtransactions in GT6 and GT Sport felt so optional (and even gimped in GTS' case, because you can't even buy some of multi-million ancient cars) that it was Sony's call rather than PD's.Over the years, there are still many people who have serious prejudices and misunderstandings about this. That's not gimped, that's on purpose. They want you to save up for the 20m cars and in the meantime any other cars you want youre tempted to use MT, because otherwise they'll just slow down your saving. My personal feeling is that the microtransactions in GT6 and GT Sport felt so optional (and even gimped in GTS' case, because you can't even buy some of multi-million ancient cars) that it was Sony's call rather than PD's.
I wouldnt go that far. MTX in GTS seems pretty tacked on. You can even turn it off. That's not gimped, that's on purpose. They want you to save up for the 20m cars and in the meantime any other cars you want youre tempted to use MT, because otherwise they'll just slow down your saving.
If they made them MT they know they'd have to be an absurd price ($40-60) to match the scaling of the other cars. Most people won't pay that, but they will buy 20 cars at $2.
They know exactly what they're doing.
They may not be as in your face but they are certainly set up in the manner I suggested, and it seems that it's going to continue from day one with GT7.I wouldnt go that far. MTX in GTS seems pretty tacked on. You can even turn it off.
vs Say other games where theres mtx store fronts and reminds you to buy this package for a limited time
For something like a live game I would say they are doing it poorly or not fully committed to that design. They also make their mtx model useless with the Hamilton DLC, which rewards you with like enough credits to buy all the 20m cars..
Sorry buddy, here is to share those cars you bought with micro-transactionOnly bought the Hamilton DLC because I liked the idea and I'm a Hamilton fan.
Dont really care about any of the 20 million cars as they are kinda irrelevant for me. As for the rest of the cars, if I want one I can just play to get it. My sweet spot for cars are in the 80's, 90's and gt cars and noon of those are overpriced so yeah.
Unfortunately, it can only be obtained randomly through roulette, STILL..I would pay 20 bucks to get that damn 2011 R18 TDI Le Mans livery edition and free my mind to other tasks. I have all the other cars, all different liveries of the GR1, 2, 3, and 4 cars and most of the others (Gran Turisoo S2000, all the karts, all the 1500s F1 cars, Abarth, Shelby GT500 w and w/out stripes, etc), and all but like 8 or so maxed out with the mileage upgrades. Working on grinding mileage points to finish that out while I hope the r18 shows up on the wheel of disappointment.
Did buy some cars when I was in a time crunch for a daily or nations race on my alt account and didn't have time to earn credits on LH challenge or track challenges.
