GT1-4 I used the chase camera.

Since GT5 bumper cam if going for fastest laps or some hard racing. Will use cockpit view when can mostly a spec races as slightly slower with this view. Really like cockpit view but lap times rule.

Bumper view, but it is not accurate calling it ''bumper view''.

It's more like a 'windshield view'. It has been proven that the so-called ''bumper view'' is actually a centrally mounted camera that would be inside the cockpit looking down through the center of the windshield or similar position, but without the car being drawn. It's the same height as the cockpit view cam. A few quick experiments is all it takes to see that.

I would use cockpit view more if it were a proper cockpit view and not a camera mounted in the back seat behind the driver seat. I'd like a little fore/aft position control, not just zoom 1 and zoom 2, which is not the same at all.

chase cam for me. i don't have the required spacial awareness to use any of the other views; i keep bumping into stuff every time i try.

I've been using 3rd person (chase cam) since GT1, but during the Vettel challenge, I realized that the 'hood cam' or 'roof cam' is absolutely the most effective and accurate way to drive, with, cockpit being the worst

Hmm... Interesting points of view. It all comes down to how people enjoy the game. People who go for "bumper" cam, are people who usually enjoy being competitive and being over the top all the time, leaving the visiual aspect of the game behind. Their car is their instrument to show they are the fastest and the most skillful players. These players always seek to be on the leaderboards and spend most of their time racing online.

Others like me that use mostly cockpit and sometimes chase cam, enjoy the visual aspect of the game. These people don't really care about making the fastest laps, or showing they are the best. They only enjoy the car enthusist aspect of the game and immerse themselves into the simulation. Proof is that my cars are mostly stock, never going beyond 20 HP more than they have stock and only using street tires. These players like me spend most of their time cruising or testing their cars offline, taking pictures or doing A-Spec events for fun.

Before the update I used to use chase-cam but since that's now been ruined I switch between cockpit and roof.

I always use to use premium cockpit view but as now use a lot of standards I use it less as the black cockpits are not too pleasant. I use HUD as this is the same view on all cars, and my lap times seem to come down with this view.

If there was a way were we can control the transparency of the interior view that would be great. Best of both worlds interior and bumber views

Prefer bonnet view which is roof view in some cars.

Use this occasionally too but some cars have massive bonnets and my favourite car the 5 Turbo doesn't have this view at all.

Bumper cam for me. I've been using this view for so long, I just can't get my lines down with the other views now. Besides, if I want to see my car, I watch the replay. lol :sly:

Best of the season to ya!

Well it used to be roof/bonnet except when I fancied a bit of immersion in cockpit but now i'm finding that view very hard to use thanks to the overbearing wind noise and other car noise added in the update.

Racing online in an M5 last night all I could hear on roof cam was the car in front of me and the wind noise over my car at speed, I kept losing places because I couldn't hear when to shift.

Cockpit with all the HUD garbage turned off. I like it realistic :P

If I'm just messing around I'll use chase cam to hear the exhaust and see the backfire when slamming gears :)

Haha, I sometimes do that. Though I have the HUD on.

Interior view.

Online I sometimes use bumper cam for the good fixed rear view mirror.

Same thing here. I love using the interior view for both standards and premiums but sometimes the visibility is just so low or the mirrors are badly placed I have to go to bumper view to not cause an accident.

Chase cam all day every day since GT1. Took me a day or 2 to get used to the new camera, no more headaches or motion sickness. 👍
