Which view do you use?

For drift i use 3rd and roof/hood
For racing i use roof/hood and interior (standards are roof with the exception of open top cars)

I know everybody likes to complain one way or another about chase, but i always got better angle out of it than others, only rivaled by roof for a little more view

I almost always use the roof/bonnet cam as you can see the front of the car generally and the camera is rigid.

Sometimes (more often lately) though i change to the interior view for more realism. 👍

I occasionally use the roof cam for F1, and rally racing, but %90 of the time its the interior view, gives a better sense of the vehicle IMO.

I used to use bumper cam but since the update I use the 3rd person view, the dynamic camera seems more realistic In my opinion.

I switch between cockpit and roof depending on car and weather. Some cockpits have small windows which i find difficult to see out of, so i use roof so i can see more, same in heavy rain.

I primarily use the bumper view, except when driving F1 cars or drifting, then I use the roof view.

we can choose either view,

why has PD not allowed us to combine our preferences,

they should option you to have a rear view mirror in all views,
they should allow you to option your preferred dash board in all views,
option so you can choose your preferred speedo/tach in all views,

with regard to your tachometer,
they should orient your analog tach so that redline is at 12 o'clock,
like in the real world,

from a programming perspective,
this should be easy for them to code,
we should be able to have full control on how to mix + match our view,

in "an ideal world"
i would run with chase view,
rear view mirror,
analog speedometer/tachometer,

you would think PD is trying to offer us "an ideal world" of racing,

enjoy ................ cross the line 1st

I use the bumper view for most of the cars, the cockpit view for the go-karts and occasionally for other cars and I use the roof view when I'm using the X1s.

Have you ever tried to race in the Dream Car championship either in the Nurburgring or La Sarthe with heavy rain, driving the Peugeot HDi FAP or the Mazda 787 in cockpit view with no assists including ABS? Try it once at least, you won't regret it! It's the ultimate thrill 👍

I always end up a with my hands and arms shaking like crazy.

What car do you drive? Every car my family has the redline start at about 2 - 3 o'clock.
I can't think of a car that starts to redline at 12.

Yes i have tried and i am constantly missing my braking points and corner apexes, i am many times slower so i use roof cam and i hit braking points and apexes and go quicker :)

I can agree with that! Only REAL GT5 fans would do that!

I'm lucky if I manage to do a clean lap myself. Specially in Nurburgring... 20 minutes of race leaves too much of a margin of error. But it's so much fun. I don't do it too often, though.

I used to use chase cam til 2.02 for my DS3 and bumper for my wheel. Now I am using bumper for both. The chase cam makes me sea sick but I used that before all the way back to GT1

I try to always use cockpit (interior) view, as it more accurately simulate driving in real life.
Bumper view is the easiest view I think, I use it only when it was too hard for me to win the race using cockpit view.

Bumper view is very unrealistic, because it feels like you're flying on a magic carpet or just being a Superman.
