Which view do you use?

Used to use chase cam for the sounds until the dynamic camera update but then went to roof cam which I was comfortable with as I used it quite early in the game. Only problem now is that I don't get to hear the sounds as much.

I'm going to have to give the roof cam a try for the challenging parts, just to see if I like it more than the bumper cam.

I use a bit of everything, not really the behind the car view that's the view I rarely ever use unless I'm just messing around or having some fun drifting. I'll use the interior view, bumper cam and the roof cam but mainly the first two I mentioned, If I don't like the interior ill stick with the bumper I'm equally as fast and precise with either cam, If not a tiny bit faster with the bumper cam never really compared it. I also switch between those two views time to time as one gets boring.

For premium car I use the cockpit view. But I use the Far view for standards since I can't stand the black simplified cockpits.

For me the black simplified cockpits don't really bother me too much.... it's the missing hood/fender section of the car that I can't deal with.

Because of that I don't even drive the standard cars. I have enough fun premium cars to choose from anyway. Oddly enough, with a few exceptions, almost all the cars I drive most have a premium variant.

Cockpit view for both premiums and standards - I got used to it, the black silhouette becomes peripheral after a while. Did the Sarthe 24hr in the Bentley in cockpit view all the way - fantastic!

Quick question for those who use the cockpit view. There are three "zoom in" on it. Which do you use?

I use the widest one. Tried (and liked) using the narrower ones, but you can't see the rearview mirror properly.

I use chase cam for all cars except the 2 Ferrari F1 cars where I use "roof" cam (the position could better though, the T-Cam which is one of the replay angles would be better for me).

For races I use the cockpit view to feel more immersed in the experience. But for Time Trials I use the bumper cam for less distraction and greater visibility.

I use two views though.

I use "Far View" for when I am in a race and I am in a heavy pack of cars (like at the beginning of a race). I can see around the car easier, which helps me to avoid making accidental contact with other racers.
I also use it whenever I am just driving for fun and not really trying to be the fastest.

I use "Bumper View" for when I am trying to race and be the fastest. I use it for time trials also. I use it when I am not in a dense pack of cars. I use it whenever I am racing at night so I can more easily see the edges of the track (I am against using the "Driving Line" Aid at night. I don't even use it during the day.).

Overall, I use both view around the same amount.

What is this "bumper view" everyone speaks of? I've never seen a camera angle in GT5 positioned anywhere near a car's front(or rear) bumper.

With a wheel: cockpit (except with standard or with right handed car)
With my DS3: mix between bonnet (premium) or Bumper(standard or premium depending difficult track where hitting the apex is really important - town circuits for example)

Behind the car is for me forbidden, shameful and taboo... have you ever drive a real car from behind? LOL Only arcade drivers drive this way... yuck!

I drive that way whenever I am not driving in a competitive way. I am not the fastest I can be using it, but, it is a bit easier to see where the car is, which makes it less demanding to drive in my opinion.

Oh, you mean "random spot somewhere between the front of the cabin and the front of the front wheels while somewhere between the bottom of the car and the top of the hood view" then. I suppose "bumper view" does roll off the tongue a bit easier.

:lol::lol::lol:

Someone has a knack for comedy. Lol

That is why I can't seem to use it when racing in a dense pack of cars on a track. I alwasy hit someone if I do because it is hard to get an idea of where the car is compared to the camera.

Depends on track/mode.
A-spec: Interior
Online @ Superspeedways like Daytona and SSRX: Chase view, it just helps make me make sure I'm clear and to keep racing clean
Online @ non-superspeedways: Interior
