Who do you think will be fastest in the final round ?

This is what I'm hoping for. Since the last two GT-A events I've gotten a lot faster. I've been running with some fast drivers and they got me back to my pace when I was younger. (J2 is the main culprit to getting back on pace) Wish I could run more with Gar, R1600 and Choate more often but we're on at different times. Though when I checked last I was 5 places ahead of Gar on my list. Right now I'm facing off with 8 people for the top stop on my list. Some of our times are within 100th of a second on all the tracks besides the Swiss track.

I don't think he's giving it 100%. :sly:

as far as the rule's go, the US top 32 will precede correct? sorry guys with time counting down you tend to get nervous especially if you believe you have a chance :nervous:

Wait till June 24th with an hour left and you're sitting in 32nd :P THATS NERVOUS lol

How it should be.. Separates the men from the boys if you will.. :P

I enjoyed it more because I tend to suck at time trials but when it comes to racing I do a lot better. Just like when racing online, very rarely do I ever get pole for a race, I usually qualify top 5 (or worse) but do better in the race.

Just don't make stupid mistakes like I did. :ouch:

Lol at everyone getting so excited about going to the finals. You can get excited when you're in the top 32 with 1 hour left in the competition. Just pray you're not in the #32 spot.

Or the 33rd. :sly:

(will hate to be that guy...)

I think I'd be more worried if I was 35th, as usually there's a few that don't qualify due to not meeting the rules, and in the UK I think it went down that far last time (Well 25th as it was top 20 for the UK last year). Being 35th you could potentially be in lol :P (Well UK would be about 19th but ye you get the picture :P).

I must say though this will be the best opportunity to see your world ranking against the world, and I am rather excited for it!!

O and my round 6 videos are now being uploaded including a 6-5 (Without banging cars on a 1:04.7xx)

I know this is off topic. But is the "UK & Ireland" a region, from which the top 16 will be taken from? I'm getting excited/ahead of myself as im around the top 20/30 with a DS3 for this region (uk) cheers for any replies (first post on a forum woohoo)

Yes top 16 of UK & IRE will be going to the national finals along with 16 wildcards :).

What do the wildcards consist of? I'm going to have to get a steering wheel...

The wildcards are people who have won competitions or are invited by nissan. The competitions are usually live events held around the country, so last year they were held in Game stores. This year there's one at a motorsport event in cheshire and more are being held elsewhere, not sure where or whether they have been announced.

You don't have to get a wheel, but if you want a chance at winning yes you will. Playing on a wheel is vastly different to a pad :P.

Ah it's going to have to be top 16 for me. I know I won't win but getting in the top 16 would a great experience etc. I've been on a friends g25 a few times. Almost gone as quick so with some practise I reckon I could beat it. Plus it takes the whole experience to a new level. Im guessing you're gt tidgey on the leaderboards? I'm adamrholt

It's a great experience GT Academy, and well worth the time and effort just to experience the nationals! If I never made it again I would be slightly disappointed but still glad I experienced it as you meet some great people, and the atmospheres fantastic :D! O and yes I'm GTP_Tidgney on the leaderboards :P, basically anything on the internet with Tidgney is probably me :P.

I'll have to use your ghost. Been takeuchi's he's rapid. Have to have a look at yours when I can go on it again. Cheers for the info!

I hope that for the final round there isn't any other cars on track and if there is I hope there isn't opportunities to gain lap time by hitting the other cars, they really need to tighten up the rules regarding that on 6-5 it is possible to smash into the car at the first chicane without being DQ but you can get DQ if the next car just touches you, it needs to be more consistent.

That's the problem I think its one reason why I don't hit cars to be fair. You can smash into the silvia and gain time or if you graze it you get DQ'd so it's obvious PD don't want it done. I think it's more annoying on 6-5 with the second car as obviously gaining time is done through slipstream and such and that second car even slightly glances you as it comes over it's DQ!

On another note great total time on Round 6 Bandit :)!

Though if you look at the top replays ever driver taps the yellow s15 to gain time.

Yes but it's just the penalty system isn't picking it up, as if you graze it (The line I use you go close to hitting it but it can turn in on you and graze you) it will DQ you, which to me is just the penalty system being slightly flawed, but people can play the round how they want, but my morals say different with regards to hitting the car ^^, And if I'm honest a .5 is possible without hitting the Silvia ;p.

I mean this is the line I use and it's still a quick line but obviously not with the advantage of hitting the car (I have tried it just to see the advantage and it is an advantage) but I won't register a time with that :P, but I just hope 8-5 has no cars on as I may have to throw morals out the window if the advantage is that difference!
