Who else has Golded the Vettel challenge with DS3?

Just wanna say, After playing the game aiming for platinum.. I have done everything else on the game now so now its my shot at the Vettel Challenge! I have a logitech gt force pro wheel but no where suitable to set it up and you cant use it on your lap! lol so last night I used my DS3 on Monza and after only an hour and a half, I got 0.9 seconds off gold so I am sure its possible, however I do not have patience as just that 90 mins was enough for me to get wound up so dont know how I will achieve the other golds haha Wish me luck

I've done it with my DS3! Suzuka was a pain but I managed it in the end

My settings were:
Transmission: Automatic (this makes me the most n00biest player to gold it all)
Skid Recovery: On
ABS: 1
Controller Sensitivity: 7
Everything else off

Much respect to all the folks that have achieved Gold on all these events, with or without the DS3, it's a killer task in itsself. I've so far only got Bronze on each, but I'm close to Silver, which also means I'm close to Gold, that's the way I look at it anyway.

I did it with a controller too, with these exact settings. Its not something I ever want to do again, I got burnt out spending hours on Suzuka and Nurburgring. Monza was piss, I only spent 10 minutes on it.

I have got gold in all three on ds3 more than once,no skid on manual in all three, abs i think 2 or 4? Well it was long ago,but yes its verry frustrating that one mistake distroys all that hard work,your jost hoping to make it the two laps.but well wourth doing.sorry no spell chek!

would you guys say this is harder than the driving missions in gt4, i mean i tried this, but only a couple times, it almost seems like the joypad lags when using the x1. now im also thinking of finishing this.

seeing gt4 in you av made me miss that game, im still stuck @ 99,2% completion (all gold). i still need to do one 24 hour race and 3 driving missions (im 100% sure i still need the last 1 with the slr on the ring.

also crt > 1080p big flatscreen. a lot of people dont even seem to realise that big flatscreen tv's have lag in the screen. this is especially noticeable with fighting games and high speed racing games (got big tv, dont play on it because of lag). im using a samsung flatscreen, but only the small one in my bedroom because it has minimal lag (4 milliseconds iirc) while the big one sucks.

I've finally managed to get 3 golds on the Vettel challenge, was a long struggle and my finger still hurts

SRF: On, Steering Sensitivity: 7, everything else off, using Right analog throttle.

Nurby: 2:07.646
Monza: 2:03.224
Suzuka: 2.09.956

CONGRATS! I too golded these challenges with a DS3. I did it after the sensitivity patch though, so indeed it was easier for me but still. I spent a month and a half playing every day just trying to get gold on all 3. Took me a week to two weeks so for monza, nurb was a tad easier but took me a week and the hardest by far was suzuka. Took me the most time but I kept trying. It isn't impossible, you just need to keep trying a lot. You won't get this at the first try that's for sure.

Hope you don't mind me bumping this thread, but... Anyone golded the challenge using both DS3 and a wheel?

Having completed it with a DS3, I'm stunned how much easier it is with a wheel. Using a humble Logitech Wingman MOMO Force, and having no experience with driving Red Bull, I jumped into the challenge and golded both Ring and Monza within one hour. As for Suzuka, I'm stuck at 2:10.066, but given time, I should beat it as well.

Maybe I'm not doing this properly, because I'm using automatic, SRF, 10/10 brake balance and had to limit force feedback to 5...

Anyway, I hope the challenge will be dropped in GT6.

EDIT: Done, 2:09.6xx . There's one bloke with 2:08.3xx on YT, madness.
