Why do people shower in the morning?

This worries me a lot. Do these dirty pigs take a shower before being made into bacon?

I used this analogy today on another forum and was advised that pigs don't sweat (like dogs). So I think your fry up is safe.

It's just one of those habits I gained. Started showering in the morning last year, I'd wake up at 6:30am, shower, get dressed, eat, take my adhd pill, and get on the bus for 7:05am. Then the summer hit, and those morning showers were at like 11am . I usually just sit at a desk all day so I don't get dirty.

I, normally take showers 2 hours before going to bed, so the only time I take a shower in the morning is when I didn't take one the night before.

I don't get it. You shower right before the portion of the day that you're about to get dirty again, so you minimize the amount of time that you're clean. Also you schedule bed time (the time where you literally press the dirt and oil right up against your skin for 8 hrs) to be the time when furthest from your shower and are most dirty.

So, why do you shower in the morning? I'll accept two answers:

1) I'm a chick and my hair looks better when I do it right out of the shower
2) I shower twice a day. Once at night (which makes sense) and once in the morning (for no apparent reason).

If you select choice number one I'd suggest washing your hair in the morning and the rest of yourself in the evening.

Discuss.

Well I only do this on the first day of school

Warm shower - then eat some nutella toast.

I shower in the night, I don't get why people shower in the morning either. (as well as brushing their teeth before breakfast. You're supposed to wait half an hour before you eat or drink again. :ouch:)

I had a shower last night after I'd been working in the garden all afternoon, then went to bed with fresh bed sheets. I woke up this morning and felt dirty. My hair was greasy, my skin felt clammy and it felt like I hadn't showered. There is no way in hell I'd ever go to work feeling like that.

That is why I always shower in the morning.

Generally, I have one in the evening, that is considerably long, and that is all.

However, any time I'm travelling around Europe, mainly the Mediterranean countries, I shower in the morning too, solely because of the heat causing me to sweat, something that isn't really an issue, in Britain.

No matter how much I read up on the reasons you guys give for showering in the morning I will never get it.

Guess I'm too stuck with my ways, my dad never took morning showers, and so do I. :D

I just shower at night. I work in a130-140F kitchen and I smell like a sweaty french fry when I get home. I either get home at 4, 8, 10, or 11, depending on when I start working. I just shower ASAP when I get home, and then I'm good. I find when I wake up in the morning, I feel clean if I shower before bed. I don't sweat much in my sleep, I usually only sleep under a sheet in the summer, and a light blanket in the winter, so combined with AC, my room being in the basement, and Canada, I don't sweat much at night.

Only showering at night is like wiping before you poop.

so you consider going through a whole day outside not as dirty as sleeping in your bed after 7 hours ?

After a long day, without showring before going to bed
is like not wiping after you poop...

but at least i am glad that you shower in the morning...
