Why do people shower in the morning?

Obviously not.

Prosthetic you might want to look at your posts in this thread bare and this in mind:
AUP
3. You will not behave in an abusive and/or hateful manner, and will not harass, threaten, nor attack any individual or any group.

Don't know about you but it seems like your behaving in an abusive and hateful manner to me.

Calling someone a hypocrite and a dick is against the AUP, yes?

None of them are appropriate for the thread or descriptive of my position. I'd really love to take this conversation where you want to, but I'm living within the constraints of the forum.

I'm just saying that you seem to really care a lot about how people care for themselves in the privacy in there home. I guess people turn a blind eye for passive aggressiveness.

He wrote that in response to your comment. In the OP, it doesn't state when you NEED to take a shower. You wrote your post, which got him replying. Not his fault.
He was constantly in peoples faces about going to bed 'dirty' (something we clean our sheets for) before I even posted. He can't help the passive aggressive adult to child comments? You have got to be kidding.

So I can see that you don't really go over your facts before you write anything out. But please, keep going. This is entertaining!

You might want to look at them too.. Calling out someone making a hypocritical statement isn't a loaded insult.

But calling someone a dick is a loaded insult and against the AUP.

I feel bad even writing out bad words.

Calling them an obnoxious hypocrite, and a dick is in my books. But the mods will do what they see fit. No doubt they will be here shortly.

I said he was acting like a dick.. Big difference. But whatever, I'm done. Back to having your showering habits questioned.

This is the second thread that I've visited that has gone way off topic and become more interesting. And it's only 10am here! Rock on! :D

I came to this page and realized that people are fighting about showering.

HUMANITY LOSES 5 POINTS.

Just discuss showering is already... lame. I kinda agree with Prosthetic, because in many posts the OP said: "wrong, again, showering in the evening wins"

Not on his first post, but in this thread, and you know what? It is not a competition to find out that shower in the evening or morning is better. It is not about win or lose, like have been stated few times in the beggining of this thread.

About what this thread became? Seems like it became the twitter of the showering, people telling others if they just had a shower or not... thing is, you take a shower when you feel you need it, in morning or evening, or both, or even more... it will change everytime you do something different. I am sorry, but that is just lame.

Anyone sing in the shower? I'm a shower guitarist myself but I wonder when shower singing is more appropriate?

I always sing The Lazy song by Bruno Mars when I'm in the shower. I just did, too!

If I could take any of my brass instruments into the shower with me without damaging them, I would. There's another reason to get one of these...

As is, I usually sing in the shower because it's the only place where I can really get away with singing obnoxiously high/loud falsetto...maybe I should have put that as one of the things I'm good at in the "What are you good at?" thread...

You like to "blow" in the shower?

You should apologize for triple posting...

Anyway, I shower twice a day. Once in the morning before work and once in the evening before I sleep. If the wife wants to go somewhere I shower a third time.

I think this is a good post upon which to summarize my findings. I came in wondering why on earth people shower in the morning, and the good people of GTPlanet have answered overwhelmingly with three responses:

1) I sweat at night.
2) I use it to wake up.
3) Otherwise I can't do my hair the way I want.

The sweating at night thing is inexplicable to me, seems like you guys are sleeping in balmy conditions - which is awful. If you really can't avoid that, I think showering twice/day is better than laying in grease all night, but that's your call.

Using it to wake up is just as inexplicable to me. I'm really not a morning person, and I don't drink coffee. Takes me a while of stumbling around like a zombie to wake up, but it doesn't seem worthwhile to take an extra shower to avoid that... and it especially doesn't seem worthwhile to lay in grease all night to avoid that.

For the 3rd one, I have no hair so one might say I can't comment. But I used to have hair, and when I did I showered at night still. I had a spray bottle with water in it to get my hair wet in the morning, took 5 seconds. Again, doesn't seem worthwhile to lay in greases all night to avoid that.

Now, because a tiny minority here get upset when I say things directly I'll say that the choice is yours. It's your body, its your hygiene, feel free to lay in grease all night if you want - even though it's nasty and easily avoided if you just adopt a obviously better routine (sorry, that's the best I can do).

Thanks GTPlanet for answering my question. I knew there had to be a (bad) reason for so many people to behave in this way, and now I know it.

If I do it in the morning it's because of the feeling and sense of being clean and fresh, ready to take on the day.
