What's with a 911 in the original Grid game?

That (along with that other game Tornado mentioned) are two mysterious exceptions, not sure how either managed to get EA to budge. All I know is as of late, they aren't letting Anyone that isn't part of EA have Porsches.

Yeah, hope is a great thing but it's like 90% that Sony needs to go through EA's paywall:indiff:

Also support this thread (if you couldn't tell from avatar).

If PD is paying attention and RWB is on the plate...

Stella, Pandora 1, Hoonigan RWB's, (along with many more) would be the a must.

Also since some have been saying Pike Peak Hill Climb "might" be in GT6, well wouldn't this be an awesome mix:

Who says you can't rallye a 911...this guy and the video above says you can:

Abit of an Nonsical way to start.

Here's the problem you seemed not to have noticed throughout the thread:

RWB is not a Manufacterer, therefore they can't be featured. To use those would mean going to who else? Porsche. And another thing you miss is this problem called EA, who hold the Porsche license and as repeatidly shown, are not so willing to give it to anyone. So basically, PD aren't the ones who need to "Get a Clue".

Premium RWB Porsches in GT6? I don't think I would drive anything else.

Well, I do love Ford GTs, so I don't think I would give that up, but you know what I mean.

Also, which Porsche is that in your avatar? I like it.

RWB is not considered a car manufacturer.
PD for the license should in any case ask permission to Porsche (EA).

Can PD get a sublicense or no because of rivalry reasons?

We don't know. Sony/PD could offer EA 1 trillion dollars for a sub license, EA could still say no. They have the power and control, whether Sony want's to make an offer and whether EA will accept it we can't possibly know.

Sony should just stop EA games on their system until EA make a deal with PD, damn greedy bastards.

That would never, ever happen. As long as Sony makes money off EA games, they will keep them.

I'm amazed they can't work out some kind of deal. Like free front page ads on the PS store for EA stuff. Maybe a PS3 or 4 with a pack in EA game. Maybe cut EA a break on royalties for a game or two.
Come on!

I know. Ever since I first saw RWB Porsches on SpeedHunters' twitter page and drove the RUF BTR in GT5, I fell in love with wide-bodied Porsches. I mean I like the current Porsche 911, but cars like the 930 in the 80's was so beautiful. Another reason why I love the 911s of the 80's, just do a Google Image search of the Singer 911s. Absolutely beautiful.

GT needs Porsches.

Everyone should just boycott EA games not like they were any good anyway.

WE WANT PORSCHE!!

WE WANT PORSCHE!!

Gran Turismo has so far sold over 60 million copies without a Porsche license. Do you really think they're going to lose hundreds of millions of dollars by cutting EA out of spite so they give them Porsche? No.

I'm just saying that EA needs to sell games to PS3 users, if Sony did then that would hurt EA.

I think EA need a good kick in the teeth for hording Porsche like that. Every sim game is missing Porsche but you know what hurts the most is that EA cannot or will not make a good sim. If they could then I wouldn't be talking as I would be driving a Porsche in a EA sim racer.
The fact that they can't make a sim to rival other sim's means they should not be eligible to hold Porsche, I mean come on there has to be some ground rules here.

EA are making Porsche look bad. Doesn't Porsche want to see their cars in a true sim?

Would Porsche get more recognition as a result of being in sim's and therefore more sales?

Is the money that Porsche get from EA really that worth it? I mean if there was no exclusivity licence then there would be loads of game developers that would get a licence from Porsche to have them in their game.

Surely Forza 4 set a precedent. Unless something has changed (or EA has a bad relationship with Sony/Polyphony) why couldn't Polyphony make an offer similar to that of Turn 10?

EA are in the business of making money. Since exclusivity is not what they are after with the Porsche license (see Forza 4) it makes sense that they would happily allow Polyphony to have the license.... for a fee.

Somehow I don't see EA turning down a Forza 4 like offer.

Forza 4 was the last time they allowed (or will allow) any sub-licensing to anyone.

Indeed. I haven't read anything concrete but I believe for Forza 5 they're again being denied a license. Obviously we'll never know what truly goes on but evidently it isn't as simple as a company slapping a big number on EA's desk and them saying yes because they like money. There is more to it than that.

As for Porsche MaDHaX as has been mentioned several times in similar threads, they just don't care. They're happy for EA to handle their image in video games. Sucks for us consumers but that's what they choose.

They had a sub license, yes. As for Real Racing, erm, that's an EA game.

Sure is, and it's fun. Bathurst, PORSCE, Etc... It's a shame that gaming is such a lucrative business that some sort of deal cannot be reached between PD and EA.
