Will GT6 have Porsche in it?

I am not saying this has happened, but for discussion sake, what if PD and EA did make a deal for Porsche? That deal could have included that a deal will not be made with Turn10 for x amount of years. This could be the reason F5 will not be getting Porsche. PD has surprised us and disappointed all of us in the past. This may be one of the surprises.

For the record, I am won of the ones that is ok with Premium Ruf cars.

no cause if that's was the case they would have announced that instead of the gt movie :grumpy:

I would hope not because that would be just as much a dick move on the part of PD. Exclusive licenses are bad for consumers full stop. Nobody should wish for any company to have one or to purposely block out other developers.

Sony, SCEI or Polyphony Digital haven't announced "GTMovie".

Movie sites picked up an rumour about top-tier producers related to Sony Pictures being involved in project tied to GT game series.

You can interpret that as you like and those "movie sites" interpreted it from angle they're comfort with.

Regarding Porsches, situation is very ingeresting.

2nd comment I've read from you today regarding Porsches. Something up your sleeve eh?

No, please :) I am only commenting, I find the whole issue interesting from various perspectives and looking forward to everything.

Umm.... oh ;)

wait....

Darn you Porsche!

I think Porsche want to withdraw the contract with EA, and I think too, that both (EA and Porsche) have to sign an annulment of the existing contract (perhaps both signs are necessary). If EA says no, so there will be no chance to end the contract. I don't know how the contract is. It's all speculation from me.

I have been saying this for over a year. EA execs are friends with Porsche execs. This deal started with NFS Porsche Unleashed. EA execs at that time were big Porsche customers. Their relationship was created then. The contract is more than just monetary, there is a sort of friendship. First, Porsche does not "need" the money, and second, they could get a hell of a lot more by licensing to everyone.

To this day I cannot find the article that mentioned the NFS PU genesis but when I do I will post a scan I this thread.

Perhaps for the 'next-gen', EA wants to be first to have Porsche's in their game, something marketable over their competition.

RUF is fine but also add the Singer 911

Your Japanese is improving! ...sorry couldn't help it

I thought that PD had won a deal with Porsche, just as GT5 came out.

Unfortunately they were unable to include it in GT5.

I maybe wrong on this though.

That also unfortunately would be a problem, for the same reason RWB would be a problem:

"Singer Vehicle Design restores and modifies existing Porsche automobiles. Singer Vehicle Design is not sponsored, associated, approved, endorsed nor, in any way, affiliated with Porsche Cars North America, Inc., or Dr. Ing.h.c.F.Porsche, AG (www.porsche.com) or RECARO. The Porsche® name and crest are trademarks of Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG"

If this was true, it would have been DLC.

I can't believe, that Porsche is in a friendship with EA anymore, in cause of the crappy racing games which EA has delivered after NfS Porsche. I think, there are a lot Porsche customers, who want to race their 911 in a race version like a RSR or more expensier cars like a 935 or an unreachable 917 in a proper racing game, and I believe, Porsche want to give them and normal people, which could be potential Porsche buyers in the future, this experience, but they can't.

As much as I love Porsche, and as much as I want them in GT6, I don't have my hopes up high for that.

If they can put some premium RUFs in GT6, I'll be fine with that. The standard ones in GT5 looked like crap.

CTR3, RGT-8, Yellowbird, RT-35 amd RT-12R? In premoium? Yes please!

And to please the drag people, include the 9ff GT9, if possible.

We don't know how FIA GT3 licensing looks like, if it is like F1 then FIA has the full rights to use all cars.

Wrong, FIA has full rights to the racing and actually it's not the FIA it's the FOM which is worse. The manufactures can allow their cars to be modeled and raced against each other but not in a simulation F1 which the FOM has the rights to. Ferrari vs Ferrari like GT5 is what I mean when I say "raced against each other". Not Force India v RBR v Ferrari.
