Today GRAN TURISMO 5 PROLOGUE turned into NEED FOR SPEED: HOT PURSUIT for GTP_Earth & me. There was a big big punter out there against GTP users...

It was a racing incident as in I couldn't see the meter markers well, but I still could have avoided it. Experience should have told me to ease off you but I made a stupid mistake in trying to find the meter markers even though I was nearly blind.

20% Racing incident
80% Stupidity

I hope I earned some of your trust back in the rest of the races we had

This has been the problem with DFP/momo pedal box since day one and my DFP pedal box also had that pedal problems.

It is no suprise that Logitech revised the pedal box internal for the DFGT.

Good, that makes my choice easy now, I'm getting the DFGT instead of the G25 because of price. I heard the DFGT pedals were identical to that of DFP, but if they were revised and fixed then I've made my decision

And a heads up, watch out for nevesteechees [CA]

EDIT: I see Aero-R already commented on the punter I mentioned, lol it was like Need for Speed, we were the cops and he was the bad guy

Sorry about that GTP_Timppaq [FI] I wasn't sure whether I hit you on the first corner of Lap 2, I didn't feel anything and presumed you ran in too hot (you kinda flew by at the braking zone).

And Sorry to GTP_Earth, I wasn't meaning to block you or ruin your race with the [AU] driver in the other red GTR, i was waiting for Timppaq to elt him through.

No worries! ..you did contact me, but it might have been the lag... your car was a bit jumpy, very dangerous to get close... :) ..and btw, I was a little suprized, that you changed your line so late, but it's ok for me (hardly never saw that move before... now racing with Earth and I'm used to it.. :) !!! great racing Earth!! 👍). Without the contact I would have made the corner.. I'm sure.. :) ..might have been behind you, but anyway.. lol.

I think that PER[SE] is actually a Finnish guy... somehow I feel that... LOL!!!! :D (PERSE=A**, in Finnish :) )

Must've been the lag, because I saw you had a nice slipstream and did decide to cover the inside a little late (sorry!), then I saw you move to the right hand side of my mirror (i was surprised! I never expected you to duck that far down the inside,never seen that one before!). I reacted and moved my car a little wider to give you room befor turning in, but you just flew by me! Then your car kind of slowed down unexpectedly and flew of into the gravel. I was about to wait, but i wasn't sure if someone was close behind, and a stopped car at Turns 1 and 2 isn't a smart idea, and i didn't feel any contact on my wheel and just decided to keep goin and let you by next time we met.

An i've always suspected my car was jerky, my internet here in Aus is really crummy, we get crummy speeds and crummy downloads for ridiculous prices.

Great race (for the first lap anyway!) Timppaq!

Oh and as a sidenote, does anybody here own a DFP? I have a feeling mine's been kind of getting worn or something because when I ride the ripple strips at Suzuka, the shaking isn't very pronounced at all, in fact, sometimes you hardly feel it. Even in the last chicane, where you'd expect a fair bit of force feedback, I get hardly anything and my FF is set at 10...is something up with my wheel? =S

I'm a sitting duck on the straights with the GT-R, I'm trying to figure out a way to somehow hold off the F430s. But changing line that late is dangerous and I won't do it again, however I will still change line early to try and force F430s to use a the non premium line around a corner so I can have a chance to get them right back. Otherwise it is a daunting task to pass a F430 with a GT-R.

Timppaq, I hope I earned your trust with our racing today, especially the side by side through turns 1 2 and 3. I already have the trust of NTSC, hoping to get it from PAL as well, didn't help my case with the MisterWeary incident today though
 
I've almost given up on this event, too much wasted time.
I only got 1 decent race in about 10, either because I kept getting punted or just because of the insane amount of host disconnetcions.
It became really frustrating very fast.
Save for the few races where I met several GTP members and were pretty amazing, on most of them you can't even go through turn 1, 2, or even the Esses without getting shoved off the track by some lunatic, and it gets repettive fast.

Plus, most of the punters seemd to have moved there now, leaving 750pp races a lot better place to hang out and have fun.
Too bad it's not International 750pp races, I loved racing you US guys. :cheers:

Actually that came out a bit wrong... What I remember, I don't think that you changed your lane too late(maybe a little bit;)), but what caught me by suprize was the move itself, I want to be clear with this. I have't seen that so much on PAL (there's absolutely nothing wrong with it... now I use it myself too 👍 ;) ) and with our moment, that was only thing that happened. I was just suprized, while I should have not been! ..but we did great, both survived nevertheless and sorry for the little touch on the 2nd esse (?) ..I kind of thought that you were already given up... and so I was proven wrong.. ! 👍 ..the second time I knew how good you were at this and did better myself too... I hope you didn' give that one for me too easy.. :)

You have had my trust from the start, and will always have from here on. 👍 Great Racing!

Not racing now (at work), but just wanted to post that I've really been enjoying this event.

Finally getting the chance to race against some of the PAL racers especially has been great. I've also had some great races with some NTSC racers who are wicked fast but that I haven't run against before now.

Sure the punting and brake checking can be annoying. However, I've had some great challenges working my way from the back to the front after being hit off, or some great mid-pack duels with some other punt victims along the way. I've added more people to my friends list from this one event than all others put together.
 
I had a few good races in the international event, saw a few GTPers. Was pushing in one race to hold GTP_hyperuk off only to get pitched by the GTR infront of me as I tried to pass him while he seemingly had server lag (all over the track, smoke, etc?).

BTW, this is my first post on GTP. I'm not new to OLR but recently came back to the GT series. The board I used to race on doesn't seem to be around more and I remembered some fine folk I used to know on this board.

I look forward to some clean racing and becoming part of this community.
 
Almost had a race with you, again, hyperuk at the :48. But, of course, we were disconnected.

I think I ran into the guy that has it out for GTP tags. Dark grey/black R35? Man, he almost punted me. LOL. But he went off himself. Bwahahahahahahaaha. He was REALLLLY trying too.
 
Back @ XX:48. If it is still a punt fest i will be moving to Suzuka 750pp from XX:00 and running the 12-24-36 and so on. 👍

Had a couple of nice races with some GTP GTRN GTRP members.
 
I just finished now some three hours of racing in this event, always keeping it to 00-12-24-36-48.

It was GREAT !!!!

Met many good racers (and some punters, of course). I'd like to thank especially GTP_ENERGIYA, zabeu, GTNDC-Honeycar, GTNDC-Madforce and a new friend, fast and clean racer, "mr_geez" (from PL, I think that means Poland).

Iwould also like to say to the Ferrari guys (zabeu, Honeycar, Madforce) that I apreciate their patience when, after getting rid of the punters, they finally met me. I'm sorry for not getting out of the way, but I hope that did make your races a litle bit more interesting :dopey:
