George, your lagging all over the shop. Impossible when i try to pass

Great total time:tup:

Racing has been DEAD last couple days! :( These events expire soon correct? Maybe they will bring even better events aboard and hopefully alot of them too for one last time to last til GT5 :)

Nice time but you are not very consistent.

Of course I’m not consistent. I have G27, so I can’t use the paddles,
And I’m driving with the clutch. So it’s very hard to be consistent,
Especially when you start from the back.
Very good time you did.

Finally got a 2:03+ time inrace in a GT-R, which was my PB offline before
and averaged around 2:04 for most of the laps. A big improvement for me

why would you want to use the paddles, thats the beauty of the game and g27 that its so hard to do 5 laps without missing a gear let alone 10 and what a exellent feeling when you do pull it off.
Tried the cilo tune last night and beat my best time which was set in the corvette by 1.4 secs ,i managed to do a 201.1xx which i was well happy with, big thanks to LDP for sharing there tunes, it helps people like me get a lot more competative thanks.

Keep up the good work, congrats on your PB.👍

Of course there is no comparison, with clutch is the real deal, is the harder you can get.
Imagine to go for 19.5x.xxx and you are in the last lap, can you imagine how stressful is that? But the enjoinment is even greater.

You're welcome on the tunes.:) I can think of one excellent reason why I don't use clutch and H-shifter (other than it gives an unfair straight line advantage if you can do it well), and that's my driving set-up for Sony is nothing like the ergonomics of a car, and the G25 pedals are not ergonmically well designed for heel-toe braking. In other words, it's barely physically possible.

i usually use a Amuse S2k on this race and so far not doing so hot. im considering getting a tuned EVO x or a tuned EVO ix. does anyone have any other cars i might try?

In at :00 with the 512BB.
It tops out at 681pp, so go easy on me when passing me.

Edit: It was pretty weak racing this afternoon. Lots of punters and drifters...👎

I thought the same thing about the pedals but I wouldn’t say its barely possible, I have got used to heel toe with the G25. The braking used to suffer slightly but that isn't a problem now, the brake pedal stays firmly pressed as the foot goes to the accelerator.

10 laps of suzuka doing 2.00.xx lap after lap in the lotus is quite an effort and usually I have only ended up in the gravel due to missing a gear. I think it is harder to be consistent than using the flappy paddles.

Clutch is not allowed at this event anyway, check the rules in the first post!

Yeah I know, I haven't been taking part in this particular organised event, just been racing with anyone I get matched with.

Just reading this thread because it has the most discussion for the fabulous Suzuka 700pp :)

Very few GTRs on this one it seems; my best time was in 2:03.899 or something!

Had a Lotus 111R :yuck: punter  try and shove me off along spoon and it was great as I held my line and he bounced off me :dopey: and off the track-served him right! :) THe GTR has some weight :)

I had someone message me on PSN thanking me 'so much' for pulling over as he lapped me (blue/yellow flags in GT% would be nice eh 💡). Made him/her "feel like they were in a real race" :)

I think it was VBR from a couple posts above :)

Cheers, mates!

What sort of things are you guys tuning for? I did 2.02 with only softening the front slightly but I figure it's worth tuning out all the understeer for the S Curves and Dunlop, what do you guys think is the fastest part of the track to focus on? What about R130 - is anyone doing it flat?

It was going to be nice race Spyrrari but my connection failed.👎

Yep,one second you were there and the next i whas all alone on the track with 5 laps to go...:scared:...loool...

It whas actually the first time in about a year i drove the Ferrari California and did not even check the tune i had...As you could see i whas more drifting than racing as the tune whas set for S-tyres....so huge lift off oversteer and power understeer exiting the corners......

Had a fun race with Chadders85 in his tuned Lotus/and some hand held love with EL_ZISSOU...Thanks!!

spy.

Great race spyrrari  You held that Cali well.

I’m thinking about switching from the Lotus. It is lonely for half a lap and kills the racing fun a bit. I have set up an Evo IX/Tuned and a 430 but preferred the feel of the Lotus.

I'm tuning for driveability, combined with fast lap times. At Suzuka I always focus on the first section and Spoon indeed. All those long and fast corners are the places you can lose the most time.
130R Only goes flat for me in the Elise.

i know this might seem a newbie question but do you guys set up for less weight or more power??

Less weight is the way to go, except when using the Elises. The Elise is better off with maximum weight and as much power as possible.
Also, please use capitals for 'I' and at the beginning of each sentence 👍

EVERYONE!! :)

I'm back to GT5 P. Been off a very long time due to traveling and racing.

Ill be joining GT5P events now mainly on weekends!

looking forward seeing ya'll again

Had some great racing again here last night, even Papnase in his green 111R was driving cleanly, the best was when I started 11th & got to P1 by lap 4 then went on to win the race, making my way through from the back was awesome. Hoping for more on track action with you guys throughout this month. One race I was gifted P1 at turn 2, I really found my rhythm & after the frist lap was consistently in the mid to high 2'00's for all 9 laps & I ended up doing a personal best by beating my total race time record, I was happy with that.

👍

I am still getting punted off in the esses despite having the lead on those few occasions at the start 👎

Already hoping for the next online events :ouch:

Managing better in the California but usually bugger up a corner eventually! Wish the punters would just wait for a mistake instead of punting me off at the beginning of the race
