anyone ready for some races?
Person in the lead gets to choose their line fair enough but what is not OK is to choose a tight apex line and then suddenly choose a wide line mid corner when you see the elise coming around the outside. The last right hander of the esses comes to mind here. That's not defensive driving its just causing a crash in my view as the elise will already be committed to a fairly large speed difference into what was originally an empty bit of track.
I didn't race yesterday evening so I'm not one of your "impatient" elise 111R's hopefully but since you mention the 'rules' I thought I'd share my understanding of them because the amount of people who I accept are not punters but would rather cause a crash than have an elise come past them has been pretty poor for me recently. I'm not directing this post at anyone in particular though.
Saw a couple of races i would of liked to be involved in. Yesterday i saw synrraith and a couple more GTP guys out in f40s. Also, el zissou was out on track with a whole grid of f430s. Are these just races between mates or have i missed a thread/chat somewhere?
F430s; that was tuneless tuesday "TuTu" over at PSN forums.
Some good races yesterday, with little or no ramming!
Though the Lotus 111's sometimes are impatient; they should check the 'rules' as the car in the lead gets to choose his/her line right!

The only other 111R's on track I remember was papnase (DE) in a green Lotus,
I was in a Lotus the night in question & was driving very patiently indeed, off the throttle through the esses & 1 gear down in places behind slower cars. I like driving like that & had a few really close races with PM3GTR & PureGT_Kevin, gettijng close but making no contact is something I relish doing. That said the corners are really the only place an Elise can over take so if you make a mistake in your line I will be coming through, part of racing is knowing how to be overtaken & giving room after all, I had no problems with any GT Planet members, just the bloody minded public punters as per usual & some awful lag in a few races too!
...
The only real place I found to pass was to get to the left of someone as they setup for the final left out of the esses, but they would turn in as if I wasn't there and go off when they hit me, even though I'm riding the inside curb and they have plenty of room.
Cheers CrazyT but if you're not worried then I need to go faster
Heres a Lotus 111R tune I've been working on. The easiest one to drive I've tried so far but might not be the fastest. 58's are in my reach with it though. It gives more front end as you speed up and more rear end when you slow down, sweet. Rides the curbs in casio like they aren't there.

4th for esses and spoon.
You could reduce 5 and 6 for hot lapping but this has room for slipstream in the race.
Probably was an accident yes! GTros are great guys, fast and clean! Race you later VBR
