What are people pushing here? Clios and Calis right!? I've had a few runs in the amuse s2000, i love it but i cant keep pace. Always like to race something different than the obvious choice, does anyone have any suggestions?

You could try the Evo IX/Tuned, I've been running it a little bit and doing 2'00s all race long, plus it's stupid easy to drive. I can't figure out the Evo X, it seems to have computers that limit it's acceleration when the car is turning which makes it really slow out of corners, because by all other measures it'd be faster than the Evo IX.

I had several great races yesterday. Finally got a chance to race George, and he is ungoddly fast with his Clio. I had a great race against GTP_Enigma, but something happened to him in front. I believed someone might had bumped him. If I can only maintain a consistent 10 laps I Just might be competitive enought to stay with some of you here.

That's like me in the Amuse 350Z. Great in the corners, but I cannot keep up down the straights. I try to stay as close as I can coming out of the corners so I can use the draft to keep up. Doesn't always work though.

I have a pretty good tune on the Evo IX/Tuned if you want it.:)

+1 For the tune that Paulie just mentioned.

Lets a novice like me get around the track in a decent time so I recommend it!

I had some enjoyable races today, clean drivers; with some rammers, but lots of back samd forth. Saw some GTPers, bit I missed their names. Did see the cornering mad amuse 350 again-good racing.👍

My laps are improving as I throw the car around and into turns more:)

RacecleanMoron(s)(?) is fun to race with 👍

I bumped one racer off on lap 8, but I think it was more of him not having room-running out of track. That race was 8 laps of being first; 3rd, then 2nd. Was fun seeing them battle just in front of me.👍

Great fun, between power failures :dopey: here on Vancouver Island (windstorm).

I'll be back Saturday; going to watch F1 qualifying at 1:00 a.m. local time:gtpflag:

Awesomes. I'll check out lions den right now. Had a go at my own tune for the evo, managed to scrub a few seconds but struggling with wash out under acceleration. Anyway cheers, i'll go see how much yours differs to mine.

Then again, a '59 in an 111R... might be time to change my ride! Nice time smoke

Hey guys, Ive been using the z06/tuned. Without any slip stream Im squeezing in 2:03's, mainly 2:04's though. Hit me with the truth please! Am I anywhere near a competitive time with others using this car?

Not sure if he's a member of the community but i just had a great race with a guy named SH4RKY_79(?). Me in my white evo, him in his black clio, proper bumper to bumper (sometimes literally) racing up until the end of lap 8 when i picked up a penalty in the chicane! :ouch:

I would overtake, then he would drive right on by at the straight bits. Then i wouldn't be able to get by for ages, only for him to power down the straight back past when i did. lol. Great racing. And i hope he didnt mind the occasional bump, it was only race incidents, never hard enough to gain a place or send him off track, just VERY close racing :P

Speaking of bumps though, this guy in a red cali tried his hardest to send me sand'ward, i was goin sideways for half of the first lap! :grumpy: Still, i finished second, and where did smashy smasherton finish? 8th! Hah! I love it when idiots do bad. :)

Not tried this car yet. You can easily compete with other cars with those times though. Well, if you can stay reasonably close in the corners that is. I imagine the z06's party piece is nut twisting straight line speedery!

Ooh by the way. The elise and 350z boys seem to be having some really tight racing amongst themselves out there. Anyone up for some sunday afternoon shinnanigans is either car tomorrow?

Carl had a 2'01.0 with that car, and I a 2'01.2. My tune is in Lion's Den Performance if you want it.👍

Small apology goes out to GTP_Egghead. That guy from France in the Lotus tried to pass me when I had a nose under you and bumped me into you sending you off.

Either that, or it was intentional because later on the next lap he hit me square going into a corner and sent me into the gravel. I really wish I could have caught up to him.

Edit: I really need to find a different car. I get frustrated that it gets hung up behind people during the first part of the lap, then can't keep up for the rest...

Wow! I am currently using your tune(700pp R1) :) But without slipstream Ive only broken into the 2'03's. Im not sure where it is Im slow at..

Its the only car Ive mainly been using to get very comfortable with. I use a DFP. I wonder if im just not "flinging" it in enough into the corners? I run pretty smooth and consistent but nowhere near a 2'01. Only difference in tune is I use 40max angle(Tune calls 50) because I assumed tune is for a G25/27 and my wheel is 1inch smaller so I took that in consideration but I think maybe Im wrong

There is quite a bit more involved then just being smooth. You have to look at your lines, corner entry speed, apex speed, exit speeds. Try increasing the turning angle to 45. Might work out better for you.

thanks Ill try that when I get home tonight. thats my worry, that Im not entering my corners at sharp enough degree of wheel turn, either that or my exit speed too slow

No worries on the bump. At first I was surprised that you pushed me off, but then I saw the Lotus right behind you as you both went by, and I figured he must have gotten into you to cause the chain reaction.

He piled into me earlier, so I guess he's just used to driving in Paris or something. :)

I think I need to try another car too, but for the opposite reason. I'm just too slow in the esses, and everyone is all over me. But once the F40 spools up those turbos, it's gone!

I tried a Tuned Clio earlier and went 3sec faster, but I really don't like driving the obvious choice. Any ideas on a competitive, nicely balanced RWD car that's not a Clio or California?

Great fun todays afternoon with EBK2:)👍 racing with the Mines on S3 tires:crazy: and thanks to Toiv and R1600turbo for the great late night racing:)!

EDIT: Managed a 2.03.947:D

I've seen a couple people be competitive in the Tuned Skyline. I may give it a shot tomorrow. I tried the Mazda RX-7 tonight and it seems fast, but it's not. :dopey:

What seems to be frustrating me lately is getting stuck behind cars that are slower in the corners, which allows cars behind me to catch up and pass me. So I go from having a chance to take over 2nd place, to sitting in 5th watching the two cars that got around me try and pass the guy I was stuck behind. :ouch:

Often getting banged of the circuit in the first turn or second a lot.:ouch:

I still enjoy tracking down the field as best as I can; especially the one who rammed me off.

Thanks to all the clean racers out there; more on track Sunday!:)

Muscle cars are all about momentum and corner exits, if you fling a muscle car into the corner too violently you'll very quickly find yourself over-driving the car. (Although my setup does allow for trail-braking) My advice, although it may be mis-placed having not seen your driving at all, would be to slow down more before corners, get the Vette's nose pointing at the apex and be smooth out avoiding wheelspin. This is something The Stig doesn't understand, and it 🤬 me to no end.

Honda NSX-R is pretty much the only other car doing sub 2'00 lap times. The Evo IX/Tuned can do a low 2'00, but since it's not RWD the next closest thing I've seen is the Vette which does a low 2'01. Unless you're one of those little green men, then it doesn't matter what car you use you'll be faster than I am. It also looks like some people are doing 2'00 lap times in the F430, but I can never get my head around that car so I'd probably be reasonably slow in it.:nervous:

Was nice to see you on track Parker. I got lonely when you left though  I think i'll try the z06 tomorrow. Looked like fun with you squirming through the corners trying to lay down some power. I saw quite a few vipers out there too today. I wonder how they would stack up?

lol sorry about that! I had to finally just give up and get off because I kept getting interupted by family members who were over for Easter:scared: all drooling over and asking questions about the Playseat Evo set up lol

I cant remember his name, but I had a good race with a black viper today as well, although we stayed together I could tell he was faster then me

Well I was able to get around a 1'59.3 in the Clio/Tuned, will post the tune some time today. Is anyone up for a race right now though? Just name your lap times, I have cars that will do 1'59s, 2'00s and 2'01s. I would have cars that can go slower but not sure which one I'd want to use.:P

Edit: My Clio tune is out now.
