Well I was able to get around a 1'59.3 in the Clio/Tuned, will post the tune some time today. Is anyone up for a race right now though? Just name your lap times, I have cars that will do 1'59s, 2'00s and 2'01s. I would have cars that can go slower but not sure which one I'd want to use.:P

Edit: My Clio tune is out now.

Cool, I enjoy your tunes very well, with this I will finally give the Clio/Tuned a try, I have yet to purchase this one still due to it being most popular online!

Im at work for another hour and half but Ill be on after that.
By the way, does anyone know why sometimes people Im in a race with show up on my Players Met(XMB) and sometimes they dont?

No I've never understood that either, it's wierd. Plus, I don't know if I'll still be racing in over an hour. Well, I'm not racing at all at the moment, just doing hotlaps, and a bit of tuning. The only 2 races I entered, both opponents had a cry and quit after a couple laps of losing.

Edit: I just did a quick couple of laps in my F430 from Lion's Den Performance, and managed a 2'01.5, the exit of Spoon was a little wide and Casio was a little slow, but the rest felt pretty good to me. Then again, I've always been comparatively slow in the F430.:dopey:

good job .. it seams lotus is quicker than the clio! i've heard some are doing 58.5 .... but can it held a race against clio?

I think it can. If a 111R can get a lead into turn 1, the race could be over. I have run several laps within .2 of my fastest lap in a row, so it very consistent. Although, I am using R3 fronts, opposed to R2 fronts which most others seem to be using. My setup is pretty much stock, so I am sure I could go faster with a proper tune. Here is what I am using-

275 hp (I think)
Max weight
R3 R3
aero- 15 33
ride height- -15 -15
springs- 5 5
dampers- 4 4
Toe- 00 00
camber- 1.5 1.5

Any help would be appreciated! I would love to see a grid full of guys running low 51's in T1 every lap 👍

So how many people have you punted off through T1 because your car is faster there, or have you broken the habbit of ramming slower cars out of your way since I raced you last?

Great fun todays afternoon with EBK2:)👍 racing with the Mines on S3 tires:crazy: and thanks to Toiv and R1600turbo for the great late night racing:)!

EDIT: Managed a 2.03.947:D

Yeah was some good races indeed:tup: i quite enjoyed racing that Mines on S3s was fun attempting to race some of the Rtired cars :)

Best time was pretty much the same as you a 2'03.971 in that last race! where you waited for me to only get punted off aswell:ouch:

From what I've seen, he has become a lot more graceful both on and off the track. It would be best to give him some encouragement, so we can enjoy more of the same progress :dopey:

What gear ratio's are you using? I am using one I set up based on the lions den 750pp setup but when I am racing other 111r's they appear to have a bit more straight line speed then my setup :(

Below is a video, still waiting for it to process properly as it wont allow me to show it in HD until if finishes processing.

The Green lotus appears to be faster than my setup in a straight line. Later in the race I was with the Green Lotus again for 3 laps but was only just keeping up to him by slip streaming him on the straights.

A couple other things that make an impact here are downforce and tires. You may have been racing against cars with less sticky tires and less downforce, and so they would have been running more power and/or less weight.

Yulp! I could run faster T1 times, but from the hairpin to spoon is a killer with any higher downforce than what I used.
Conversely, I could run just slightly slower T1 times with lower downforce, then make the time up on the straights, but spoon was a killer... as usual. As eluded to earlier, there has to be much better mechanical grip available to such a small car on R3 tires than what my tune is delivering now.

Just done 4 laps with this new tune and am actually faster through the first sector than my last tune but with less downforce so hence I then make up more time on the straights.

After 4 laps I got down to a 2.02.752 and it was not a smooth drive either, I reckon I can easily knock a second off that time, so thanks for the tune :)

Thanks to MAY and his help with the tune. I finally broke the 2'00 barrier with the Clio Tuned. I modified MAY tuned and clock 1'59.873.......CELEBRATION:lol:

Very well put El Z. I've followed this forum quite a bit, and if you're like me you can also see the changes too. He's been a very long time online friend of mine. Always willing to help, and I never got a chance to see the aggressor that was mentioned years ago. But if it did, I'm sure it's gone now. It's just my personal opinion though.

ps SORRY FOR THE DOUBLE POST!!!!

Dear Rutter200_VR46, what kind of guy are you? First time you marked me as a friend on the gtplanet after you pushed me out intentionaly in the dunlop curve!? If it was an accident you should have waited me don't you think?

mmmmmmm.... i went underneath you because you were a little wide & then you come back that is when we touch. It wasn't intentional & if you think it was then fine

End off

GTro_Unitron was very close in front of me that's why I used an other line. I didn't want to overtake him because it's that part of the track where it's not possible fairly. I was hoping you will show regret but I was wrong. It seems you are not just az unfair racer(oldo fast) but a muppet in the real life. :D

Relax yourself.
One little incident and you throw toys out of the pram!

How are you guys driving so fast? I still can't crack 2:03 in a GT-R. AFAIK I'm using all the proper lines and what not
I'm even slower in the supposedly favoured cars for this event....

The PP system needs serious work. It doesn't seem to equalise different cars at all

I think the PP system is pretty good. Remember just because two cars have equal PP, doesnt mean they are equally fast.. There is always the "fastest car" assuming the driver is driving it correctly. Im down to 2'01's in Clio/Tuned but I want that speed in the Z06/tuned! Ill get there eventually

Sorry Rutter200_VR46 for bumping you. Was an accident when Davissi pumped me and i bumped you! We waited for you for a few seconds but you never came...

Either way thanks alot Davissi for the great close race:D! I almost crashed when you were putting down the pressure, and had to do some drift technique to safe my life ! Man youre fast:sly:!

No problem, great battle to then! It take more than a few seconds to get out off the barrier /gravel! See you on track again 👍

Lacko, Rutter, how about letting this one slide! If you have to talk it out, it would be best to do it in private. Otherwise, you both have plenty of people here, including me, that know both of you as good clean racers- consider this one a misunderstanding and give each other another chance!

I thought I'd join you guys for a couple, was fun. My Cali is dog awful to drive though and I've no idea what to do to it LOL. The fastest I managed on a clear track up front was 1'59.4xx the first split I can only do 52.7 I assume there's some faster cars out there.

OK.👍 Sorry IsmokeGT, forgive me?:guilty:

I believe I have a tune for the Cali in Lion's Den Performance.

Just curiously, why doesn't anyone just have a look in LDP if they're struggling with a tune any more?

Actually, he's right, I don't have a 700 PP tune for the Cali. I'll get on to it right away! If you guys need a tune I don't have, just ask. The whole rule of reviewing one of my tunes before requesting a new one is kind of being relaxed at the moment, it won't make a return until GT5 hits.👍

I'll help you out. Check the sig

Thanks CT.👍

Edit: OK, that tune for the Cali is out now. Opinions are welcomed, not sure if I made too much compromise between speed and ease of use, if any. My best lap is 1'59.915, but I'm not great with them new fangled Ferraris in Prologue.

Edit 2: Wow, I just realised some of the drivers I beat in my Clio/Tuned lap time vs other Clios, my tune must be alright.:sly::lol:

You're always my first stop, sir. And thank you very much!!

Your tunes are almost always the most stable for me, and the way you have your library organized is unmatched for convenient browsing :dopey: :dopey:

I can't wait to try that one, I haven't found a Clio tune I'm real comfortable with yet. Hoping to find some more racing time this coming weekend, haven't been on in a while :(

Had several good races here last night, although there was very bad lag in some races for me, weird because in others there was none at all. I really like driving my 111R against the Clios & had some awesome battles, thanks guys.

👍

:mad:MMMMMAAAAAANNNNNNN!!!!!! Missed another good day of racing. I'm in your shoe aswell El Z. Haven't had the opportunity to have seat time lately.

Some good races yesterday, with little or no ramming!

Though the Lotus 111's sometimes are impatient; they should check the 'rules' as the car in the lead gets to choose his/her line right!
