Hi all, after a few weeks of vacation I return to dominate the tracks and win to everyone... mmmm I think I was sunbathing too long

Last night I was at Suzuka driving the Skyline Tuned and racing with a few F430 and F599, my best lap was 2:02.9 for a moment I was happy, but then watching your times... are you using nitrous oxide or something? because I don't know how you all can be so fast.

I've been checking with the chat room over the past few weeks and absolutely no activities. Such a great tools guys. Why not use it more often.

Nah, just have had other things to deal with. I'll have a few hours to kill tonight after work, so I plan on hopping on for a bit. Don't really plan on being competitive, so might just pull over at the start and work my way back up through the field as the laps progress.

Edit: In at :00

Edit #2: One and done. Only matched with one person.

Some nice races yesterday with KOR_Lonestar, Solarr and later GTP_marchbrown, Theewar and JvM (sometimes off schedule due to matching issues). SOrry for the dodgy driving, I had only used the F40 at 700PP this time around so the Elise 111R tuned was a very different proposition after a week of no driving

I managed 1'59.726 on R1/R1 and found I was able to challenge other cars on straights unlike the R2/R3-shod 111R/Ts, even though that tyre combination seems to be faster overall.

EDIT: 1'59.629, this car can really compete on R1/R1 so that you don't have to be so whupped on the straights as with R2/3

All the best

Great fun yesterday, though I saw some of the punter brutalize you several times Synwraith. 59.6 hell, I can't get there with my best ability with the Clio. Nice time man.👍

Cheers mate, I don't actually remember any major punts in our races. Probably because I was too busy hanging on for dear life in the Elise

New laptime now for Elise 111R/Tuned on R2/R2 - 1'59.058.

Probably not that much difference in a race from the R2/R3 guys, but every little counts and if you can have an extra click or two of power for a 0.100 laptime loss, it's still totally worth it.

1'59.058 :scared: Well done man. There's got to be .06 hundredth somewhere in that tune! 58s coming soon I anticipate!!!;)

I can't wait until the full game comes out, so we'll have a wider variety of cars. Tired of watching Clio spec racing.

1'58.7 is a great lap. When I saw that R2s gave 0.6s over the R1s, and I could get within a tenth of the fastest R2/3 lap, I wanted to try the R3s as well, but haven't had a chance yet. Looking at your lap, it's the fastest choice.

All the best

this evening we will race at GTRP the Evo´s. tuning is free, but please no clutch. :)

maybe someone else like to race with us. we will run at 10/40, or if we are not much driver, then at the normal time 00/30.

Now I understand why last night suzuka was invaded by germans in lancers.
Also I saw siegmund, a german racer driving a lancer too, was he racing with you?

Yeah I met the infamous Sigmeund!

He tried to body slam my car off but he was on the outside and bounced off into the gravel:).

Had some good races on Saturday (lots of Evo's) ; today not too many big grids :grumpy:

I'm still in my GTR 07 because I prefer the engine sound over the California (especially with the top down!)!

Sad how a 10 car grid is only 4-5 by the second, or third lap 👎

Yes, that's true, and I have to admit that I do it sometimes, but that's normal too, because wait ten laps parked after an accident for example or race alone it's very boring, and race in phantom mode can annoy other drivers.

By the way, I was filmed by a hidden camera (best moment at 5:00).
I need to watch the full version of that video, with accidents, spins and all those things, thanks lilulilu, but next time let me know that you are recording the race, I would try to drive better.

Drifting in phantom mode and in the reverse direction - now that is distracting, especially with the smoke from the tires!

because wait ten laps parked after an accident for example

Is that what some people are doing? They crash and decide they are too damaged to continue? Why not try and catch the cars ahead?

I do understand parking your car if you are hosting the race and you have to answer the phone or take the kettle off the stove, but you want the remaining racers to have the opportunity to complete the race.

I do bail if I am not hosting and everyone else has quit, or its a 2 car field and the other racer does not want to wait for me to catch up; or I wait and the other car decides (?) they are not good enough and so quit.

I have raced with a lone GTP_er or, other GTW and we have waited for each other after wipeouts; accidental bumps; and thus enjoyed some close racing and back and forth overtaking, which I enjoy the most about Gran Turismo :)

Well, I wanted to say if you have an accident, lose 20 seconds in the sand and the other racers continue, you are alone and that race becomes in a time trial, that's boring for me.

These races are fun, last night I was racing with two guys from GTRP team, especially with a white lancer, thank you guys for a nice driving, and wait me of course (I hope they read this forum).
Seems this event is dying, I play around 11:00pm GMT+2 and I don't see anyone on the track

I just wanted to ask and excuse me if it's a silly question but how do you know if you are the one hosting.:dunce:

It shows when searching for other players at the end, if it says race is set up by a host then it is hosted by someone else.
If it just says race is set up, then you're the host.:)

OK, now I know what you mean. Only with mine I believe it says joining race or creating a race. I'm guessing it's the same idea.

Thanks and now I know what not to do if I'm out of the action.👍

From my understanding, the person first on the grid is usually the Host. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Yes, the first one appearing on the list, whether you're the first one on the actual grid depends on the amount of Performance Points you and the other players are using.
If you're using, say the max of 700PP whilst you're being the host and the rest of the entries use less you will actually be last on the grid.:)

Yes it says 'creating race' , which means you are the host.

And I too will wait to allow a 'fair' racer to catch up, or wait for and try and pass a punter!
