World Lupo Cup Challenge

hi all, just registered ;)
OneManRiot/AllyKH2882 I have a spare lupo I can put my settings and send later when server up cos I see I'm in your team, can't have u without a car

Hey Byo...... you must be worried.... I mean your teammate only realizing he doesn't have a car to race with on the day of the race! Haha ha

hahaha, probably quicker than me even without having the car :) My setup is not great, think 1 sec off the pace but u never know, hopefully AllyKH2882 can be the secret surprise weapon !!

Ally was very fast in his 01 model last time we raced, so make sure you give him a dodgy one with a terrible setup ;)

If anyone is practicing today let me know , i ran some laps yesterday and im way off the pace running 1 21's

im really curious to hear some of your setups because with a 420 pp limit the setup choices are limited

Wow... If you're all running 1:19's and 1:21's, you'll have me lapped at least once at the end of the race. :D

I got my Lupo up to 420 PP, practiced Automn Ring some, but the fastest time I got was (and I'm pretty ashamed to say this) 1:25...

Okay, I haven't done a lot of online racing before and I know I won't be leading the field, but can some of you give me some tips on how to get faster and improve? I got the next couple hours to spare. ;)

Looking forward to racing with you all tonight!

Btw, in the drivers list, you have my forum (real) name, Rasmus, written. My PSN ID is "hetoft", just so you know.

Hey Rasmus.... well the racing lines is important, but for me it's all about the brakes. Always rather break a little early and let the car settle before turning into the corner. Braking earlier and going thru the corner at a higher speed is what it's all about. Braking to late generally ruins your exit speed and your cars natural momentum, and also ruins your tires. Be smooth on the brakes and accelerator, and take smooth flowing lines. You'll be fast in no time!:)

Rasmus (and SkengD a little bit LOL) - I am by no means a car setup expert, but I can offer a little help (I hope)...

The setup with these little cars is not quite as important as it is with bigger faster cars, consentrate on practicing until you get to the point where you notice tiny changes to setup.

Set your gearing to have a top speed of about 200kph or 125mph
Set your suspension up so that the front is a little harder than the rear

Try to touch the apex of each corner and get the maximum exit speed possible. Try to follow the lines driven by the faster drivers and don't worry if you come last (or close to last) because at the next event, you will get to drive with 425pp!

Okay, guys, I can host or at least try to host. Just one question: what should I put as room quality?

I might be a bit late to the race. If it starts at 8PM GMT I'll make it but if it's at 7 I certainly won't, sorry. :(

Wouldn't that be slightly laggy or am I mistaken? :/

Also, being a rebellious bastard, I'm likely to use realistic draft in this one. I'll leave the arcade system behind with no pain, there's no real point in being fast if the guy(s) behind don't need to do virtually anything to keep up.

Why'd I miss that part? Looks like I thought the arcade draft supporters had won the battle, but fortunately I'm wrong...

EDIT: For me it recommends standard, so standard it may be. Won't have a mic though, so probably in the worst case scenario, neljack is gonna be left talking alone :sly:

Guys 'carbonox' will host Series 2 tonight (Thanks Carbo ;))

Please note the changes to the team lists:

Finally, 3rd attempt and the room's running. Now let's see if it can hold more than 2 people before breaking.

Carbon

Please be sure to keep a list of all the results for each round so you can send them to me to update the spreadsheet :)

And yes, it's "Random test room". Didn't remember to change name for better

Also report instantly if you can't get in even on multiple attempts, I'll then go switch room quality for lower.

Just a reminder that I can't make it for 7 and likely won't make 8. So this race will be a DNS for me. :(
