I'm off guys.
This game really starting to p** me off.
This game really starting to p** me off.
MÜLE_9242;5495408GT300's need a better sense of learning to work together and not going 3-wide into the damn Mulsanne corner.
I crashed, got engine damage, I quit, now I need dinner.
...And I can't even watch the GT500 race because they limited it to 7 people...
On top of all that happened today, you are whining about going 3 wide into the Mulsanne corner. You, who on the few races i've had in the WSGTC, have been the only driver to give me trouble when lapping you, passing you as a GT500 car or overtaking you when we're in the same class.
Excuse me sir, but i don't need you to tell me to learn how to do anything in GT.
Besides that, you crashed on your own, and you insta-quit just because you got damage. I hope other WSGTC drivers don't share the same mentality.
I'm not gonna go into what happened today here, i prefer to keep it private between me and Dennis.
Joshua1994I still think Tony should be banned from racing in the GT500 class though. He pulled away like a machine in his Arta, nevertheless the remainding driving fast or slow..
Tony could use a Fiat 500 and manage a win. He's a true Alien.
Josh, only thing with start there was you needed to stay put. don't move until car you are following moves past you. If he moves before others you know are ahea of him. Use sense.
This helps if you keep the starting order handy.
I myself screen shot it on the iPhone and have it as a picture ez access.
I truly think there was somethings learned and the room connection issues got several off their game if you will.
We will get it right, I have faith in the racers present.
Btw Cars 2 is a Must See flick!!! Great lil movie. Got me all sorts of pumped to race on GT5.
DenilsonWe could do that. But it can't be that hard to just hold the brakes until it's your turn.. Right?
Btw: I have sent you a PM with a few things we need to discuss. Please answer it as soon as you've read it. 👍
Ok, so what have we learnt from this?
1. When a room is up, we will not create a new one.
2. Race will always start at GF-time SHARP.
3. If someone lags bad, he need to leave the room.
4. Keep your distance, and stay sharp during the formationlap. There is no need at all to stay to close to the car ahead. In the OP, it says that you must stay 1 car lenght behind the driver in fron of you (Same lane) as a MINIMUM. How large that gap will be is up to the driver, and all cars behind him must accept that.
5. During the start, press the E-brake until it sticks, press pause, and your car will be transparent. When your name is called for in the chat, un pause, and drive up to your grid spot. (Correct Owens?)
6. You will not win the race during the formationlap..
Wouldn't mind having a spin in this if I can get the time, would any of the Stealth DLC cars be allowed? (GTR, NSX or McLaren F1)
Sounds good to me, Owens idea is good but i feel that its just a watse of time, everyone knows where they should be, just take it slow and move when you see the guy that your behind in a striaght line
Anyway Den what ideas you got for next week?
If its GT500 class wouldn't it just be 500hp and 1100kg weight?
How about a race at Nurburgring GP/F this Friday, July 1st? Quali for grid spots start 20 minutes prior the race?
Btw: I sent you a few PM's. Please get back to me asap when you've read them. Thanks. 👍

Hmm, well there needs to be a set procedure, or at least a recommended one for getting races going.
First, we can't just randomly decide who's going to host the rooms. What we have to do is do a series wide stress test of connections and host compatibility.
We do that by just getting as many people as we can into one room over a couple nights and letting different people host the rooms to see which person hosting has the least troubles with all of us racing in the room.
The room settings will always be the same (as mentioned in the op) but we'll simply let different stewards and capable hosts.
So the "WSGTC hosts stress test" will go something like this:
1) Post up a scheduled stress test session a week in advance and ask that anyone who wants to take part in the series join in order to test their connections in different room host scenarios.
2) Give everyone a set of basic instructions on how to best have their internet connections running before connecting to a race room [simple stuff like: clear network cache, make sure no one in the house has torrents, netflix or other major downloads or streams running.]
3) We try one room hosted by Denilson, do a 1 lap race trying to stay close together and have everyone report back on who saw who, if anyone was lag sliding, or blinking out. Then we move over to a new room hosted by someone else and do the same.
4) After trying a few different hosts then we should have a good idea of who the better hosts for the official races might be. I think always trying to use the same hosts is a bad idea. But if room hosts don't matter at all, I have an open mind to it, but we should still test it before we put that theory to rest.
Things to note:
I know GT5 can just be bad some days and we might've just had "one of those days" yesterday but we can still try to pinpoint the best way to get a consistent and smooth racing experience by investigating our options. I think that just doing a bit more homework can do miles of good for the series.
