::::: ROUND 1 SPECIFICS :::::​


  • Make sure to stay on track at ALL times with at least 2 wheels touching white line / Red / White curb.

    1st and last turns are easy to misjudge. If you for some reason misjudge any corner, make sure to act in line with the GTP's OLR. Failing to do so will result in a penalty.

  • Pit lane.
    When entering the pits, make sure to slow down your car enough to ensure that the AI can control it without hitting walls, barriers etc.
    You must also make sure to stay on the correct side of the pit line (entering and exiting). Failing to do so will not automaticly end up in a penalty. But if an incident is caused due to a driver crossing that line, the driver who crossed the line will in all cases be the quilty part.

Dennis can you please be more specific on how penalties will be applied for violating the on-track rule? Last season's Fuji F race saw countless violations of the rule in the GT300 race. I was so appalled at this I watched the replay from each driver's view and compiled list of all the on-track rule violations. In the end the stewards handed out only a 10sec penalty to each of the two drivers with the highest number of violations (27!! and 14). I was kicking myself for having driven cleanly. 10sec penalty for repeatedly using the run-off areas as sling-shot areas would've been well worth the tiny penalty.

Also, in case a driver makes a genuine error, what is an acceptable action to avoid being handed a penalty?

FAO Quali Spreadsheet Admin: i can still see the old times on the spreadsheet but no Season 2 worksheet from the link i used in the main thread. Could somebody please change this? :cheers:
 
I'm not sure if I'll set my quali or not as I'm not back in the UK until the 20th, so its if I can be bothered to be honest.

Sorry i have not been around for the pre-season.. i got a new job and i had to move.. took the internet provider 2 weeks to hook me up.. damn no internet for 2 weeks its painfull.. can't beleive they where using magazin back then ;)

I might be late friday.. if you guys can wait like 15 minutes it would be greatly appreciated.. should be home arounf 20:45 gmt
 
Ultrap: Penalties are listed in the main thread. First set of violations will in most cases render a warning. In the last season at Fuji, the penalties handed out was jumped up to 10 seconds because of the estimqted time gained. Let's say that out of 27 times running wide, maybee 50% of the occations ended up in time gained. So let's say that on the other occations no time was lost. So 14 occations multiplied with ,2 of a second would end up in ~3 seconds gained. 10 sec are more than enough if you ask me.

And if you run wide, you can NOT interfere with drivers on track at all while rejoining. It's all in the OLR, and also in our main thread.

Hi Andil, can you share your set up for RE Amemiya Asparadrink rx7 '06? I can barely hit the 1:47.xxx mark at Fuji with my present set up (RH -4, tranny 168, aero 35/60). Your Rx7 '06 lap time of 1:43.265 at Fuji last season is virtually impossible for me to achieve, but a few tips from you (and lots of practice!) could at least improve my super slow lap time. :)

I will wake up at 3am this morning (GMT 7PM) and take my chance at qualy session if any of the stewards will host.
 
I need some practice & possibly tweak my setup

I should be able to get on 3pm CDT (my time), which I believe is 20:00 GMT, 21:00 BST, 22:00 CET.

I'll open up a room & post a number if someone hasn't done so already.
