Yes everything is the same, including tyres temps. 'My Lounge' is the same as Open Lobby now.

I'll join the room in about half an hour. 👍

I'm going to enter the room about 21.05 PM (GMT).. I kindly ask you guys to wait for me. But understand if you don't.

We will wait!

We waited for 25 days, I am sure all agree wr can wait

Of course we'll wait. :D

I'll be another 15 minutes... just taking apart my g25 pedals because my brake's been flickering for about 3 weeks now and I can't be bothered to carry on unsticking it with my foot after every corner over a 1.5hour+ race!

I figured out what happened yesterday. But I finally just got my system up now... It was a problem with the router firmware I have that I upgraded during PSN's downtime. Sorry I couldn't make it guys.

What a disaster the Nurb 24 turned out to be...started on rain tires then switched to hards on lap 5 in the morning expecting the track to dry...what a nightmare! 30mph max! I kid you not the car had more grip on grass than road. Didn't want to violate any rules so I didn't turn around back to the pits and suffered 18 minutes doing one lap. Bah... what idiocy plus who knew the track would take 16 simulated hours to dry with the sun out... This game is seriously retarded.

Jav I had absolutely no steering control on the straight with the slicks which is why I couldn't avoid you when you changed lanes...don't worry about the crash, it didn't matter.

BTW I was on lap 9 just before the long straight when the race ended so completed about 8 3/4 laps.

Complete and utter joke of a race on my end.

Poor decisions on tires. Crew chief deciding to switch me to intermediates not by choice. They need to allow you to change the tire type all the way up till you stop in put stall.

Think some of you (most of?) had a hard race tonight, but for me, oh god, not ever been in a race where I had to concentrate so hard for so long. Literally totally drained now, guh.

Aderrrm made me think I would have to settle for 2nd very early on, he was quite a bit quicker through the latter part of the lap on the wet tyre. I was wearing the full wets out very quickly, so wanted to change to inters as I guess the wets were overheating. I actually hit the wall just before 2nd karussell, which forced me to make that decision at the end of lap 1.

Inter was the tyre to be on for lap 2, but the rain was much harder in lap 3. Still, I had managed to do that extra pit stop and still catch aderrrm back up, we were 5s apart at the end of lap 3, when it was back to full wets. I think I was probably a bit quicker on the drying track if both on the same tyre, but not by a lot.

Managed to just about stay with aderrrm over the lap, when he then dived into the pits at the end if lap 4 for inters. I could see the rain had stopped but it felt too soon for that change, so I stayed out, not changing to inters till lap 6.

I think during that period aderrrm must have had an off because suddenly my lead of 25s (a pit stop) had jumped to 1min, then 2, then 3.

That made the rest of my race quite easy as the track started to dry, and switched to slicks at the end of lap 8. I then tried to put in a quick lap on the final lap, will have to wait and see if its good enough for the bonus point.

Anyway, massive post, sorry, but that was an amazing race, with the constantly changing track conditions, for me. I think that seals the gt300 title for me too, so i'm very pleased. Thanks for a great race all, plus also, thanks to people for being great when being lapped, and big thanks to owens for giving me a massive slipstream down the straight on the last lap, haha :sly: :D

Yeah totally agree, I think the constant weather changings did piss alot of people off haha

But for me, it was pretty perfect, stayed in second place with JPzer infront until near the end of lap 2, he spun out somehow, so I got into first. Then saw I ended up building quite a lead on him, which did relieve a lot of pressure seeming as I wouldnt have to **** myself if I pitted.

Pitted around the end of lap 5, to a fresh set of rain tyres and put an extra 10 miles in the tank. But I hit the wall slightly at the beginning of the nord so I had damage to my front left meaning I had to make another pit. At this point, I noticed Chorda over take JPzer, so yeah at this time I was getting a little anxious to whether he would catch up and take advantage of my damage.

Got to the end of lap 6, pitted, but noticed it said I should change to Intermediates. Did so, and well, it was perfect. Came out of the pits with Chorda not in sight so still pretty stoked. The first half of lap 6 seemed a little slippy but thats ok, just eased off on the throttle. From lap 7 onwards, I could drive normal, just as I would on Hards on the dry.

Overtook a few people also, huge props for being legit and letting me past also!

But about 1/4 into lap 10, I noticed my fuel had literally dropped, alot. From what I thought would last me, didnt. I ran out of fuel just before the karussel. The 3 minute countdown came on from Moleman finishing, and at this time I just hoped to god Chorda didnt catch up within them 3 minutes. Got to around 1.30 left, and Chorda overtook Aderrrm. Luckily, he didnt come into sight, so yep, I think if I had had a crash earlier on, honestly think Chorda would of took the lead.

But none the less, was a sick race, especially for the first few laps, gave me quite a headache though with the spray in the dark!

Oh, and buzzing about my first win, and even better on one of my favourite tracks!

If a driver is present when the coundown timer reaches zero, it counts as 100 % completion.

Well, the race then. Got pole. Really happy with that. But when we reset the track and it started to rain, I got really worried. Got no experiance with wet conditions, and especially not on the nuurgring in the dark.. I was so slow from my pole during the first two laps until I finally got things under control. Before that happened, I was passed by Joshua1994, JPzer and C-Falcon89.. Just tryed not to make any mistakes. Stayed on full wets until the end of lap 7. I went for slicks, going for the fastest lap (don't think I made it).

The race was'nt as epic as I wanted it to be to be honest. My lack of control in the wet was giving me headake. But during lap 3-4 I passed JPzer and C-Falcon89. Don't know how that happened at all to be honest. I felt really slow..

Racing in the wet is defenetly something I will improve until next season.

I'm truly impressed with Molemans wet driving. Just awsome. 👍

I did know that you was good in the wet. Especially when you passed me during warmup. I got just out on the actual ring when I hit a wall, just as Moleman just flew by me. Impressive stuff.

Nice to get the championship going again, and after all a pretty decent number of drivers showed up.

Only thing I see about staying on track. You give respect to others. Cause possible to crash the room exiting. I would rather a driver pit and pause then quit.

However. I can understand the frustration and people think hastily. I have been there. Also was enlightened by another about how it looks to others.

I wanted to sit in the pits this race at one point. Having no experience in rain to dry. I went straight to racing hard slicks. NIGHTMARE!!!!! I paused and let the AI drive while I took a 2 min breather. Came back and got good tires. Hammered done till the end.

Jav had mentioned some hardware malfunction in the indy lobby.

sorry guys i left, i was a little bit annoyed that we started an hour late at start as i have work today...

Then on that fast right hander i got distracted by my girlfriend calling me, which ended in me forgeting where i even was on the track (OUCH), then bang i was in the wall, tried to carry on but i couldnt even control the god damn thing (damage), was just spinning and hitting more walls.

I thought il cut my loses and quit to get an early night sleep, its a shame as i was looking forward to driving with my wheel but i think its the wrong track to practice with it.

anyway hope you guys had fun, looking forward to the last race where hopefully i can do better

Hi new here. I would like to observe a round is that possible?

We are a bit concerned about the connection issues it could bring to be more people than necessary in the lobby. But here you got a full race from Indianapolis road if you are interested. 👍

OwensRacing: Yea, true. I hear you. But it's still like quitting the race imo.

Paginas: Don't worry mate. And I totally agree that the start was way to late. Guess I had a part in the delay. But not by an hour...

Wardez: Would you mind updating the total standings table when you get the chanse? Thanks.

I was being careful in the rain, got up to 3rd early on but spun causing damage on lap 2, then crashed again on lap 3, lap 5 and lap 7, went inters on lap 3 and 7 caught up with chorda but the tyres went off towards the end dropping me back to 3rd in class. Considering what happened, good result.

GT500 standings when 2 worst rounds are removed. It's a HUGE fight for 2nd, with a small posibility for 2-5th driver to actually pass the over all leader in the standings, JPzer.
The 10 drivers listed below are tho ones who have shown commitment and that I hope will stay with WSGTC for the next season as well. I also hope that all of you show up for the Suzuka Final in 2 weeks. 👍

GT500 total:

JPzer: 491
chorda: 451
Wardez: 449
Paginas: 445
Nycrom: 438
OwensRacing: 380
GTP_monoha: 309
C-Falcon89: 234
Joshua1994: 212
UAE_ReDLiNe: 140

GT300 total:

1. Moleman: 605
2. SteelToedSloth: 419
3. Shrugging_Atlas: 385
4. KamyKaze1098: 377
5. Neomone: 346
6. Scanny_Flick: 310
7. GTP_Senninha: 291
8. maximus254: 288
9. HortusIX: 284
10. GTP_Aderrrm: 241

C-Falcon89: When you passed me at the end of lap 8. I was on slicks (wery slippery). But about the same time, the track got dry pretty fast, and your inters, that was worn, could not keep the pace you had from the earlier lap when the track still was a bit wet. So I magaed to pass you on lap 9, which also was the fastest lap for the race. Lap 8 was a 10:30, and lap 9 was 8:34.

After doing some testing for the WSGTC 2, driving all of the GT500's, I must say that I'm really impressed in how well you drive the NSX.
It will get a few more PP for the next season as it looks for now. Hope to see you in the final race at Suzuka. 👍

God knows how you were catching me on inters during lap 2 when I was 1-lap-old full wets, Mole. I thought this may be the case, so at the end of lap 3 I still went for full wets seeing as it carried on raining, and seeing as my full wets were pretty bad after 3 laps, I decided to pit lap 2 laps after on lap 5. I switched to inters. Surely if mole catches me when it's raining on inters, of course they won't be amazing when it's still just stopped raining but they won't be half bad, but... that wasn't the case. 👎

Frustrated (at the game mostly), I made a few mistakes here and there and because my inters were so bad I pitted the next lap for full wets, and accidentily put on hards instead of inters. Race over. From then on I gave up caring and just pushed in most corners, receiving damage in about 20 different places every lap. I think my pit crew were more tired than me after repairing all my damage. With a few minutes to go, I pressed pause, let it drive for me, went to get a drink and rest my aching eyes.

Props to Mole for at least making my first few laps interesting 👍, sadly that was drowned out by my frustration for the other half of the race. Great pace Mole, and Joshua. 👍

Seriously don't know how you switched to hards for 2 laps at the end either, Mole. I know it was 1.5 laps before, but I was on hard tyres and well... it's 30mph stuff, even 19mph-oh-my-god-I'm-going-to-hit-the-wall when entering the Nordschleife, as ultrap has already explained.

I'm not sure either why, when the track gets drier, the outsides of the race track become dry first and the racing line stays wet. But anyway.

Yeah, on lap 9 it was just dry enough for slicks, but first part of the lap was a bit scary.

Gt5 I think tries to simulate real driving conditions in the rain too. On a race track, the racing line becomes slippery (rubber is slippery when wet), so it is often quicker to run off the racing line in order to find the grip. A trick learned by most karters is to run on the outside of every corner in the rain, as that's where the grip is. That would explain why it feels dry on the outside of a corner. I think gt5 can't simulate slippery rubber, so they just keep the racing line wet to make up for it, works just as well (feels the same as irl).

👍

I found hitting the apex also sent the back end out a little, meaning braking earlier into corners was necessary!

Anyway, is Suzuka Enduro not next friday, the friday after? So it'll be 8th June?
