WORLD WAGON CHAMPIONSHIP Fridays 17:30 EDT/22:30 BST: CONGRATS TO CHAMPION JOE__KERR/REEFER

Yeah, I thoroughly enjoyed running with you yesterday gk. Have now set 3 times, 8:54.0 being the best. Don't know why it's not registering. Had a great first half and a terrible second half. I know I left 2-3 seconds on the track due to going off and the chicken braking that you mentioned. A sub 8.50 is a mind game and I think you'll need to be at the last split (at the start of the long straight) at 8:02 (if I remember right! think I was there at 8:05) to achieve that. We're rooting for for you mate!!

Have you been starting the race? Or just setting the times in practice mode without the 12 minute time limit being on?

After setting a mark, you have to stay on track until the event timer runs out, otherwise the event will be considered aborted, and the mark will not show in the results.

Hey Scott,

I have set a time in the LIGHTNING LAP this morning. Joe was in the room aswell and he started the race and I waited until the clock was out and I returned to the room BUT I can´t see that my time was saved ... I do have the replay saved.
As I have limited time to do it again I hope that my time will count.
Anyway my time was: 8.57.857

It seems the event doesn't like Joe in the room! There's no times saved at all. :boggled:

I'll have to try and give it a go later to see if it saves mine. I must buy the car first though so it won't be a good time. :)

This is frustrating, don't know what the problem is.

If your time doesn't record, take a screenshot of your time with your phone/camera and post it here.

Hello again,

Here are 2 screenshots of my Lightning Lap.
1st is Just when I passed the finishline.

2nd is when I parked and was just waiting for the timer to count to the finish of the 12 minutes.

@reefer finally got one to work
Yeah, don't know why goofy's time didn't register and I must admit I was beginning to wonder if it was me! So it's good to see my time has stuck. I know what gk can do - won't post it here - so it'll be interesting to see if he can beat his pb from 2 days ago. Let's just say he speaks ring-go (the language of the 'ring).

first training session with hiro9341, just saying' Joe, just sayin'

I felt an 8:45/6 or so was doable by some demigod or alien after running with you but the discussion we had regarding an 8:40 I found hard to get my head round. Superb time by hiro-san and it begs the question what he can do when he gets used to the car..

With my current knowledge of the 'ring, and setup, I guess I could do an 8:52 at best.

But with another couple of practice sessions for yourself, I'm hoping you can shave at least a second off your pb from the other day!

hiro-san e

Thanks for posting this gk:tup:

As for the setup , Hiro uses a different take on the Avant RS6.
He was around 425bhp for an overall heavier car than us. It is better according to him to correct a bit the very front biased weight balance in order to refrain from using extreme values for ride height and toe angle. This way it is possible to make a more optimal use of the Avant's mechanic grip. So you end up losing almost nothing in the corners and can go even faster in the straights. You also get a substantial gain in stability and the wagon is much more predictable when driven on the edge...

Amongst all this anticipation of GK setting an official time, we have a race tonight, at my favourite track, Ascari. For the second "weather variable" race, I'll just start it dry and set the changeability at 20-30x and hope for the best.

Had a blast at one of my least favourite circuits. Bit too eager in race 1, carried too much speed into first chicane, had to take to grass to avoid contact with lex- great win by the way. Really enjoyed making my way back up to 2nd

Race 2 was pleasurable because of the win but not as enjoyable. Kept a solid gap to bbb to stroke it home.

Sorry I couldn't make it. And sorry if I caused any delays. I left my PS3 running hoping to maybe race at some point, but sadly this wasn't the case.

The time is always problematic for me so in future please do start without me and I'll join in where & when I can.

From BB's report you had a good time - well he did anyway. ;)

That's nothing bb compared to my own (lack of) performance yesterday. 90 seconds behind the winner in both races. The tune I had on the car made it so difficult. Anyway I won't be around next Friday @bloodyboyblue Just letting you know in advance.

The legnum is also probably the worst choice you could have made for a tight track (other than the audis, but I did it on purpose to get the rs6 out of the way), I learned that at cape ring

Guys.
Offline I can't get under 9:20!!! in the RS6. So I'm too scared to try online. I'll probably be a full minute behind that amazing 8:40 lap.
So everyone getting under 9:10 are on another league to me.

Also bbb I'll miss the last Friday in April and first Friday in May due to work and family commitments.

Really enjoyed the races yesterday. Only reason I came 4th was due to the impreza and actually enjoyed the oversteery feel as they are such easy cars to drift. Just couldn't get past Goofy and the 2 times I thought I could he fought me off or I took to the grass! Good fun.

Good fun races altough I was in the R6. I had a "secure" 2nd place in the 1st race but suddenly it felt like the car was loosing all grip with 2 laps left and I made a small mistake and ended up 5th
As Suts said it was a fun battle for 3rd spot in the 2nd race.
See you all next week

Been trying out some of the cars I haven't used yet. Is it wrong that I can get the airtek round deep forest in 19.8 every lap but the stegea 20.1 every lap? Thought the stegea would have been quicker. Free run mode from the garage for reference times anyone...

I got the Legnum handling OK; just could not get enough speed out of it. It's gone now - bye byeeeee....

Not driven the Airtek yet, but I did find the Stagea pretty quick. I can get a great start with it; Joe found that also.

Thought the stagea might have had the edge too:confused:
