Worst game in your opinion?

In order to complete a race, you have to hit a bunch of checkpoint flags on the way to the finish line. If you miss a flag, you have to go all the way back again. The main problem is you aren't actually told where the track is going, you're forced to follow the AI and memorise the track layout until you eventually win the race. Only then can you proceed to the next race.

On top of that, the game uses one of those awful 'password save' systems, which doesn't even work.

Agree with ya 110%. The PS2 version was incredible! I still play it to this day. The GBA version was complete and utter 🤬. Couldn't even believe it was suppose to be the same game. The A.I. were always one step ahead of you, traffic cars came out of nowhere, the layouts made literally no sense, not to mention the music was very dull and repetitive. I give it a 2/10

Worst game ever? Easy. Knife Edge: Nose Gunner.

I got this game when I was a kid for N64, it had only just come out, and I had been saving up for a new game, and thought it looked cool from the cover. I was so pissed off when I played it, as it was quite expensive for an 11 year old at full price, and I saved up money from my paper run to buy it. I remember this game specifically because it was the last time I bought a brand new game without trying to find out what it was like. I got a subscription to N64 Gamer magazine after that, just to be able to read the reviews and hopefully avoid another game this bad. I've never seen another game quite this bad ever since.

Graphics were laughably bad, even for N64, which was odd, because you had no control over where you went or what you did, it was an on-rails shooter where bugger all happened, so I'm not sure what the devs actually worked on lol.

Here's a video, and yes it was every bit as bad as it looks.

For perspective: This game released Nov 10 1998. During that year, on the same console, you had games like:

Legend of Zelda: OOT
Turok 2
Body Harvest
South Park
F Zero X
Resident Evil 2
Starcraft
Mission Impossible (I know this game wasn't very good, but it was epic compared to knife edge lol)
F1 World GP
...and many more games of a much higher quality than Knife Edge.
+ all of the great games that came out prior to '98.

Some games look really bad now, or haven't aged well at all, but this game was exceptionally bad the day it came out.

Worst game ever? Either E.T on the 2600 or Superman 64. The hype for both were off the charts. I guess if I had to pick 1 of them, I'd say Superman 64. Mostly because the Atari was in the console infancy and looking back I can say, 'look what they had to work with.' There is just simply no excuse on the N64 because Mario 64, Goldeneye and my fav game of all time, Ocarina Of Time were all 10's on that stunning console. That and Superman deserves better.

I'm gonna throw my hat into the ring and say TG DareDevil for the PS2.

The graphics are poor, even for a 2000 PS2 game. The vehicles feel stiff at times and floaty at others, and I can't work out where to go in the campaign.

Hahahahaha all these naacar games in your list. Hoping the next year would be different?

It's just sad that we can't get a good Nascar game. They with a new company now so we will see how that goes. EA last three Nascar games was bad and just about all ETX Nascar games was really bad except inside line which was ok at most.

I agree with both of these posts, especially the second one. I will be honest, I can see why people would like the game and I won't judge anybody who disagrees with me. I have played Hot Pursuit and Hot Pursuit 2 and I liked both of those games, but I am sorry, Hot Pursuit 2010 just wasn't for me.
Okay I actually took the time to play Hot Pursuit 2010 again about a year ago for the first time in forever and I stand by what I said above, however I have removed the spoiler from my previous post since I know more now than I did then.

I played the game for at least 2 hours and much to my surprise, the collision detection wasn't as bad as I thought it was. I have to give it some credit though, it does look really good, but it's one of those games where it feels like they put more time into the looks than the game play itself. It generally just didn't have enough to do in my opinion and it gets boring after a while. While I guess it's good for a good, cheap thrill, it doesn't feel like a $60 game to me. Another problem I always had with it is it just felt too much like a Burnout game and while I like Burnout some, I don't really like it mixing with NFS.

I am sure I have more that I could say about this game. If I had to compare this game to something, it's like that one food that taste okay at first, but then leaves a nasty aftertaste and doesn't sit well afterwards. That was kind of how I felt after playing it again. I like it better than MW 2012, but I still don't really like the game itself.

Haven't played most of those but what made FIFA 07 and The Getaway so bad?

It was the physics of both games. Fifa 07 was awful for a football game, it had bearly no teams on the Xbox 360 & the dribbling on that game was god awful.

The Getaway is one of the worst games I've ever played. The controlls make it unplayable & its not a case of getting use to them either. The game would glitch a lot in certain parts of the city, health was extremely low and there was barely any checkpoints during the missions which were quite tough to beat because of the controlls. The next game, "Black Monday" had improved a bit.

You know, when I was on vacation about 2 weeks ago, I saw this game and I almost considered getting it. Then I remembered your post here and the video I looked up after reading it and decided against it.

Ironically the place I saw this game was the same place I had bought the PS2 version a year ago. (which is amazing from what I've played)
Ford is a good car company, but their games aren't so great.

View attachment 468254 View attachment 468255 I have no clue why I own these games, they're garbage. Too bad the only store near me that takes PS2 games gives $1.50 for all three.
Never played Street Racing, but I have played Ford vs. Chevy. I used to own it over a decade ago and I didn't like it much. Going off memory, it seems like the game was just needlessly difficult at times and not very fun. I can remember the way you changed gears was very different from every other racing game I played (though I cannot remember exactly how it worked) and a bit aggravating. I never played it much because I simply could not be bothered to explore the rest of the game from what I had seen. The game is a good idea in concept, but not in execution. (from what I played anyhow) Unfortunately, I can't say much more than that since I haven't touched it in a very long time and don't remember too much of it.

Ford Racing 3 on the other hand, I strongly disagree with. I thought it was a pretty good game, it was fun, easy to play and had plenty to keep me occupied and I got a fair amount of enjoyment from it. Someday I might revisit it since I ain't played it in forever.

That is simple. Every stupid arcade racers especially the ones from Codemasters.

GT Sport. IMHO it's the worst game in the GT series.

I don't play much else, although I've tried tons of demos over the years; I think most video games are utter garbage.

At launch it was but I don’t think it’s that bad now. It’s got decent physics, a good amount of GT League events, a good car & track roster plus the online racing is still a lot of fun.

It’s still not at the same level as GT3-6 but it’s not the worst GT IMO

It is better than GT6 but about the same level as GT5. They are the three worst GT games for me by far.

GT Sport is disappointing because of the initial lack of content but now, PD has been making up for it by releasing new DLCs for free.

The thing is though is that despite trying to make up for it, it's still a far cry from mimicking the same vibe that the previous generation titles have. Well, it's already considered a spin-off from the main series since the start so this shouldn't surprise anyone anymore.

By the way, I'm not sure what are people's main criterias here when they say it's the worst game in their opinion, well, aside from its ridiculous lack of content earlier.

Why 35 on something that's dubbed as the worst game of all-time?
It's so terrible, so hideously incompetent that it is just a sight to behold.

It probably is technically the worst game ever made, but you can't really hate it the way you can hate other bad games.

Exactly.

Which is why I was wondering why it should be rated higher if that's actually the case for the said game.
