Ok, so I entered a drag room earlier and there was a guy parked in the middle of the drag strip and when we pushed him his car pushed back. I'd hit the car to move it and I hit it on the door and it'd move but it'd just revert to it's original position pushing whoever hit it out of the way. Had to kick him

You joined after him right? That happens a lot because people press pause and their car goes transparent for them. But whoever joins the lobby after someone does that, he sees the "transparent" car like it was not in pause. Before patch 2.08 you could just drive through that car, but now you can't.

A serious drag racer is well aware of this problem and will never park in the middle of the strip...

100% correct

Right-o. I've just had a race with YET ANOTHER immature fool. This one was 21 and was a "I'm not racist but..." Type. He was getting on my nerves as he was abusing a Frenchman for driving a Jaguar XK luxury saying "French Shuldnt drive Brit cars it not rite" to which I replied "So by your logic, British people shouldn't drive French cars (he was in a Veyron)" to which he replied "No no no. U don't understand. Brits can drive what they want. No one else can. Ruining the properly British industry." I then typed "There's hardly a proper British industry left. Jaguar-Land Rover is owned by TaTa, an Indian company. Aston; German shareholders. Lotus; Proton, a Malaysian company. Rolls; German. Bentley; German. Need I go on?" To which he said "Ur racist" so I said "Nope. I just know what I'm talking about. Unlike you" so he said "How old r u? 12? Lol go home littl kiddy lol"

I replied with one line. "Yeah, except you're the one who can't type and uses LOL, because you're too lazy or immature to bother to even just type "Haha" or something along those lines." He replied with "<spaced out profanity>ing kid" and left.

At least the Frenchman got a laugh out of it :)

 Do you mind if we call you Sheldon Cooper now?

Like, really. Why would you even bother to reply to that moron in such a fashion. That's a waste.

Because there are many things I hate in life, but racists are near the top of that list.

Looking back, I should have just asked for him to be kicked :-/

Hear me out on this one guys...

As we all (should) know, the 24 Hours of Le Mans was yesterday, and the GT5 servers are full on Le Mans rooms. I joined a room earlier today that was an Open Track at Circuit de La Sarthe and it was pretty cool. The goal of the room was to be as realistic as possible and there were Safety Cars escorting damaged cars around the 8 mile track. I was held up by a Safety Car on the 8th lap of my run and there was a player in a 458 Italia who clearly is either arrogant or knows nothing of Safety Car procedure. He kept rear ending me, causing much damage on my HDi making it hard to drive. He also kept trying to cut people in the line. Needless to say, after the Mulsanne Corner, I dumped him for being an idiot... Maybe I should dump (spin) everyone who ruins the fun of others.

Don't.... if you dump other people, you're just enforcing it... Dumping fuel on a bon fire, making it a forest fire

Just drifting in a Tsukuba lobby with a Fiat 500 F '68. No problems occur as the host put collisions to OFF.

A little while later, a guy joins and enters the pits with a black Honda Civic SiR-II (EG) '97 and asks a peculiar question: "can i drift this car? plz help"

I reply with a simple "NOPE" and left shortly after.

I know FF drifting is possible, my friend drifted her FF Integra RM around Suzuka, but seriously? A regular old Honda Civic hatchback? Are you serious?

Hold the handbrake and floor it... not much to it

Noobs these days.

Understandable but I'm like Kurt Busch sometimes I don't like being pushed around. I explained it all to him afterward and he was cool about it.

Not much online time here, but I was mildly amused by someone with a name proclaiming that they are a driving game-based deity, bouncing off every car as they push through the pack in a 'clean' shuffle race. You just know don't you :dunce:. To be fair though, he wasn't the one who punted me off in an obvious and reckless manner.

My latest quickie.

In my giallo Modena Autozam AZ-1, I got a lot of admiration from people, stuff like "Cool car", "Sounds like a sewing machine lol", then the host tails in an X1- I thought nothing of it because it gets that a lot.

I came to the hairpin at the end of the straight (on De La Sarthe) and he punts me off. Repeatedly.

I decide to screw him over and park in the gravel trap, he can't ram me. Soon, a guy in a HPA TT comes into the gravel and helps me. Nice guy :)

Eventually I retreat to the pits and ghost. He tries to ram me again, but I've out glitches. Eventually he says "Hey, say thanks for the kick" and kicks me.

And I thought the kids were at school in the UK :(

W-why would he kick you?! You weren't doing anything wrong. He was a jack:censored:! Argh I hate idiot hosts.

What type of lobby was this? Cruise? Free run? Cops?

Cops, apparently.

Well, you might have done some things wrong, but then again, the host was driving the X2011.

I swear, the releasing the X2011 as DLC and giving away the S.Vettel X2010 were in the top five worst things PD did with GT5.

Thing is, it wasn't a cop server as the cops were ignored, but I was stretching to 124 mph when others were doing 230-240. So I was probably the slowest there- never got in anyone's way or rammed anyone (In an Autozam, that is the equivalent of a fly kamikaze-ing an elephant)

I do kinda agree. Giving it to childish players is a definite no-no. Bad move PD :(

The amount of online childishness in drag lobbies is extortionate. Any trouble, I challenge them to a kicks race... 💡 So basically get a car, 99% of the time, they choose GTR's.. :dunce: And run them 3 times, first person to win 2 races wins and the loser gets kicked. :) You would be suprised after they lose, the sudden change in their behaviour to beg to stay in the room haha.. :sly:

Ok this is TOTALLY fair. Watch how FAIR this is:

*Joins a Nürburgring free run lobby*
*Some moron in a Yaris is crashing into people and going the wrong way*
*I get scraped by him and say "Please kick ****"*
*Host does nothing*

*Host changes the track to Daytona*
There's a guy running around with a hacked Red Bull 5G doing 12 second lap times.
Then our friend in the Yaris changes to a Viper and causes more problems.
I type "PLEASE kick ****"
Host says "No."
I'm going along and then I meet up with the same guy. I'm going to pass him on the outside of the track by the finish line. He rams me into the wall. As I'm trying to exit the track to determine whether the host is on the track or in the menu... guess what?

I GET KICKED!

I type him a nice message: "May I ask why you kicked me instead of the people that were causing problems? (**** and the guy in the hacked Red Bull)"

No response.

Well, he was a good sport about it.

That is totally fair Dan. I don't understand why you're so pissed off... JK.

Hosts just keep getting worse everyday. Sometimes I get a laugh out of it, other times I just switch to BF3 because finding a good server/room is easier on BF3—and that says something...

AFKers are to be expected on any online game. Be it DOTA, TF2, or even the amazingly obscure Mercedes-Benz World Racing.
And there's nothing quite like a supposed 'AFKer', who, when pushed off the starting line (I was losing anyway), reversed back on.
...Yeah, I don't play online so much. Not many stories.

Was just on a free run track day in my pink mini with 100hp on sports soft. I was lapping the custom track when some guy in a LMP car kept hitting me at 200 mph+.

I called him a " 🤬" to which he replied " you set yourself up for that".

I then said "why", he replied "as you are driving a small mini and I could not resist".

I then said " ok then I will get my redbull and hit you as I cant resist, oh wait no I think I will leave as I am the bigger man".

I then get a message on PSN, "M8 i wouldn't care tbh". To which I replied "you cared enough to reply". Well he now sits on my block list.

You know, with these recent posts I'm seeing. I feel that I should go investigate some of these lobbies. I'll get in my Audi RS6 Avant in preparation for dealing with ramming idiots. I'll be back guys.

EDIT: Nothing other than one idiot in a tank car blocking the mulsanne straight on La Sarthe.

Try any random cops/cruise lobby at La Sarthe, any free run Nürburgring lobby, or a hack festival at SSR7 (funny arguments between hackers, but be careful if you're a grammar nazi).

That's the thing though, I was in three cop lobbies and barely anything and I can never find those Free run nurburgring lobbies. As for a grammar nazi thing, I'll be careful; I get irritated though whenver I see someone refer to GT as "Grand Turismo".

Or Grand Tourisimo. Sounds like a famous Bull fighter name.
Anyway I saw a lobby titled "Realistic Track Day" on Nurburgring, with tires restricted to racing hards or less. I joined, and I kid you not, NINE out of the fourteen people there were in X2010s/X2011s. The host was afk, while two X2010s were dragging up and down the final straight. I drove onto the track in my orange Nissan PAO, and parked up next to a red X2010. The guy typed "Your car looks g@y." I wrote "At least my car is REAL unlike your stupid overpowered POS." He wrote "You just mad cuz u don't got it." I wrote "Really? I doubt that." I exited the track and brought out my X2010 5G. I parked up next to him and typed "Is this better for you pinkie pie?" He wrote "Kick JeepXJFreak98 he's bullying me." I got kicked (apparently the host was there, just not doing anything.) I turned off my PS3 and took a short nap.
