I was doing shuffle races in Monaco and a guys comes up behind me and i block him, then he overtakes, but he slams me into the wall but fails to stall me, i come up from behind, brake late in the chicken and pushed out of his line into the wall.

Blocking is a move of a coward.

In your previous post you never said anything about anyone being rammed.
You mentioned about blocking being a move of a coward. When in reality blocking or being defensive is a part of racing. "Fact"

If you even read the post i was responding too, you would learn that he rammed someone, so i dont have to start off in the original post about the ram.

I read the post you was responding to. You made no comment about the ram you made a comment about blocking instead.
I think you should read you own post again because you are arguing a point which you never made.
If you had an issue about ramming why did you comment about blocking and not ramming?

People who constantly go "start the race" when in free run or trackday lobbies, can't they read the funkin' title!! Prinks.

It's even better when it's an unrestricted room. It can only be kids who suggests it.
"-Start race now!!"
"-Ok, my VW Golf '76 versus your X1. Well of course dear!"

:)

Today, I got kicked from a room for using my X2010, when the room's title was "any car".
Can't people read? xD

Later, I found a room much more tolerant of my vehicle. The host had one too.
I lost because some nolifers in Tank Cars decided to set up roadblocks and add a few extra chicanes.

No, you got kicked because X1 people are probably the most annoying to deal with online. They are either 10-12 year olds that think that since they have the fastest car they can do whatever they want. You cross their path, they'll bump you right out.

As for the "any car" part, they probably allow anything but the X1, that includes road cars, tuners, LMPs, race cars, etc. etc. But NOT X1/F1. If you want to use your X2010 badly, go for a lobby in Top Gear Test Track that says "fun, drag, trade" or anything similar. People there are a little bit more tolerant.

My problem with online is freezing and disconnection. I have a very fast connection, 5 star quality and 5 bar connection my friends say... but whenever I join a room with 4-5 star quality/bars and after 30 seconds:
"You have been disconnected from the server."

Freezing - Arguably the most annoying thing to deal with. My disc has no scratches, and when I go into a lobby, I go out, after 1-5 minutes my screen freezes, music stays the same, and I can still hear people. But I can't move. When I leave to the XMB, my PS3 bleeps 3 times and then restarts. Fix this, PD.

GT5's online is horrible!
I had my host up for 2 hours yesterday, I was in with my mate (room was called JGTC Mix/600pp).
Very few people joined one at a time and almost everyone said the following: "change track" "start race"
"I'm not changing the track because I wanted to race at Madrid reverse and I'm not starting the race with 3 people in the room" and so they left after hearing my reply.
GT5 community is horrible, people are stupid and retarded. The mentality of players is retarded too.

At the end I had a fun race with my mate, that was my first and my last time in GT5's online mode.

I guess people are too scared to race with SRF, TCS, ASM, driving line, active steering off and racing hard tires.
Sloths.

Online? No thanks, I'll stay offline.

Come on now you are missing one of the best aspects of this game.
If you find a good group of people to race with or have a little patience while browsing you can have a real racing experience.
Yesterday I opened a Nurburgring room with only Alfa Giulia TZ2 and SS tyres as rules.5 nice people joined and they were more than enough to have a blast.
Give it one more chance I tell you:)

Joined a shuffle race lobby and got an Audi quattro, which is one of the better cars you can get in shuffle. Won Deep Forest by around 10 seconds, was kicked by host after the race was over. I messaged him saying why and he said, "sry didnt mean to my lil brother did it". mmhmm, sure.

For those who fail to have a clean race I only can say; try harder.

All of my best gt-experiences (except those i had in gt1) have been online. I freequently create rooms for clean racing. Mostly gt500 races with all necassary limits you could implement. Some times a noob checks in a bit lost. But since they rarely have a super-gt car, they get bored and leave before i even have a chanse to kick them, making my job as a host fairly easy.
The only problem I could have is a lack of opponents. But since im in a super gt leage. I use my alonetime, playing with settings, and looking for new ways to put up a new fastest lap.

So for the sake of gt-comunity. If you enjoy clean racing, learn how to reach the good servers.
In the end, online racing is by far the closest you will get to a real racing experience

Btw, since we have some clean racers here. I'd like to add please mind the chicanes! Dont brake late if you are slipstreaming all the way. Even though i ofc signal to rear-riders with my stoplights just before i put on my heavy braking.

New idiot: Middle of the road donut-makers. Are you serious?! If they crash out in the middle of a corner/straight, they just stay in the race and do nothing but DONUTS. When we come to lap them, they take most of the road up so we have to either go in the runoff or hit him head on. Idiot doesn't say sorry, he says,"Wtf was that for morons" and leaves the lobby. I'M SICK OF THE COMMUNITY!!!:banghead: Of course not the nice racers with GTP tags. :sly:

Same after awhile when they stop i just get them back in a cheap car because an X1 is so expensive

Just had an annoying online experience. Joined a lobby which had a PP limit of around 600 on Nurburgring. I joined in and the race started. I didn't pick a good car and it seemed later everybody was using SRF. Still I was around 6th of 10 until someone decided I looked like a nice brake in the corner before going uphill to Karussel. I though hell let's just finish this race and move on to the next one. The guy who didn't know he had a braking button left and the next race started. Now with a lower PP limit.

This time I picked a better car and I started 6th. Just before the end of sector 2 I was in the lead and was able to win 5 seconds clear from the host who was in second place. The next race started and after dodging some people and overtaking some in the progress I was in the lead again. I held the lead even after some mistakes and just after Karussel I had build it up to a 4 second lead on the second place who was the host. Then I see the host leaving the race and shortly after I got kicked. I was annoyed because I don't often win online. I finally had a competitive car. Next time I'm taking the advice of people here and filter the rooms:D

Sore losers. All of them. 👎

I barely go online because I can't find a good racing lobby. I just organize and join series on here. But once or twice a week is not to great.

This. I only go online with my friends, in free runs, on GTP or in my own lobbies (which always fail anyway). Racing is just hopeless online today.

I had a particularly bad one today. Joined a virtually full racing lobby with 480PP road cars only. Chose my Fiat 500 (bad choice) then this guy in a Giulia GTA is in front, I can't get past him in any other way but the grass so had to go on it, and got past with my extra power. Then he just randomly asks to kick me, saying I'm unfair, even though it was a forced move to be honest. I didn't get kicked but his idea came out of nowhere for no real reason.

I don't get too worked up about mislabeled rooms. Sometimes the host inherited it from someone else and they have no interest in maintaining the label.

I just keep trying room till one sticks.

As said earlier.

If you only find crap servers you are searchin all wrong.
You have plenty of hints in this thread how to get it right.

If its still impossible then i guess there are cultural game-differences from country to country... Or maybe you guys are just impatient and stubborn unwilling to correct yourself :sly:

We don't come here to find clean races, we come here to have a laugh at some of these people online. We all know how to find a room but maybe we aren't that good and want SRF.

This. I find brilliant rooms all the time.
