Worst you've dealt with online...

Got insulted for having an American flag and kick out not before enduring two races listening to trash talks from these kids whose nationality I won't mention for respect to their country in which my father was born.

That was the deal breaker for me. Not playing online ever again unless it's seasonals or maybe if it's an invitation from someone I know. Is not worth playing online when 95% are impetuous, potty mouth, racist kids. Not to mention their disrespectful way of playing the game.

Is either this, or racing with friends who ultimately destroy me on track because I refuse to tune my cars or use racing softs. and don't get me wrong, I rather loose over and over to civilized decent people, but it's begining not to be worth the experience.

You must just be having bad luck or something, I've had GT5 since it first came out and I've encountered next to no racism or anything like that, sure I've met some odd people, but none that would stop me from playing online.

To be honest, the first races I had were very nice, and people had a very relaxed and cool behaviour. In my first post on this thread I mention that. So like you say, it's just bad luck.

However lately I've been coming across these situations almost in a daily basis. Not to sound snoby or cocky, but I'm a very educated person, very tolerant and with a very cool demeanor. But I tend to loose my patience and my temper very quickly over people like these, and it's hard for me to get over these things sometimes. Before I loose control of my brain over my testosterone, I rather just quit.

I guess they was trying to save their room cause he never kick me out but that cause I went on a rant and stood up for myself and me and my friend raced privately.

From now on I don't enter random room only room with 1 or more friends

I will only make an exception if the room is clean

I was in a room that was completely open. It was on Daytona and everyone had mics. The title of the room was "Bring what you got" or something like that. So I entered my fastest car at the time, a 700HP Fully tuned 95 Skyline GT-R R33. It was a decently fast car, won in some drags and some road courses, so I'd figure I'd give Daytona a try online. Not even 5 seconds in the race I could hear a few of them taunting and bashing my car, sight unseen. They started the race and we had 10 of us in a room with the rest of them running McLarens and X2011's etc. Needless to say I started first as I was the slowest one. Not even 5 seconds into the race, they all started ramming me as they passed only to taunt futher. I finished the 10 lap race to discover I was awarded 15000cr. So i decided to stay, not bad for levelling up and getting some cash too. Each round they tried and tried to force me out of the room by changing the car type restrictions. Now my Skyline is pretty versatile. They tried to restrict 4WD cars, didn't work, changed my configuration and still qualified. Then the mod put a restriction on HP, too bad it was max HP and no one could use their precious supercars. Needless to say after them bullying me for a few races, they kicked me in the middle of the race as I fought to stay in the lead on the last lap by changing my car config and the moderators new "restrictions".

Husky, I'm going to eat my own words my friend..

I was hosting a room tonight, 500PP, Sports Softs. These two guys enter(with mics) and pick a car and wait for the race to start. One guys says "why are we on sports tires? Isn't this a racing game" and I respond "sorry, if you want racing tires I think you might be in the wrong room" and from there they insisted on calling me and everyone else in the room names, particularly me and the other Canadians, saying the usual insults used when describing Canadians. The best part was when they called the people in AWD cars noobs, yet they were in a Ram and a Lancer Evo.. They were then kicked but keep sending me pathetic messages over PSN, saying racist jokes and jokes I last heard in the 5th grade.. Pathetic.

I took control over a clean NASCAR Dayton's room today.

Kicked two guys.
A guy that thought I was wrecking him and used an X1 next race.
Then a guy who thought he should park in the middle of a turn. :indiff:

I've got a good story, not my worst, but it was a pretty humorous experience. I was racing with some friends @ 550pp at Nurby Nordy, and after a few races, someone joins with a join message that said, "World snooker champion." Thinking nothing of it we carry on racing and start a new race, he gets in his car, some volvo or other, and starts ramming people, me in particular. he then goes on the the host saying best the best driver, and has never lost a race before, this doesn't count cos everyone was ramming him. the abuse he got for saying that from everyone else in the room lol, it was hilarious.

I go on to say, "If you're so good, lets have a one on one race and prove it" and the host lets us. what he says goes beyond belief, he asks to use the X1, then i say fine, we both use it, but he then screams that only he can use the x1, I've got to use a slow car. His exact words were, after i said we both use it,"no, no,no,no,noooooooonooooonoooooo, only i allowed red bull not you, not you, you have to use slow car, something red bull can't beat." i then go on to explain that it doesn't make him a good racer/driver, and so we ignore him, and left it at our restrictions.

the next few races he tries different cars to keep up with us, and asks to use the x1 again, only to be told no, over and over again. he then says that he only has x1 and 1 other car, even though we all say him in several different cars..... beggars belief. he then got kicked ^^

Racing The Nurburgring against a few people using aids like ASM Strong, TCS 7, SRF on, and others, claiming they were such beasts and that they were unbeatable, all using Minoltas, ramming people off the road, not even attempting to brake until I was in a wall. So I took out my Minolta and smoked em' with something like 1 TCS... Then the biggest of the rammers sent me a FR...

A kid with a mic in trading room tried to trade a vette zr1 that he claimed topped at 400mph. I was saying there was no way he can top at 400mph. He started driving and kept saying to look because he is going 370. Turns out he was reading in kmh and thought it was mph. After telling him, he starts yelling that I'm stupid and kicked me.

People trying to use race-rally-prototype-concept cars in a streetcar lobby
People demanding PP increase to +600pp in a clearly stated 500PP room
People nagging about others not driving clean but when you watch a race they are the biggest rammers and when you warn them they deny it .
People who complain about people using there mic in a room ( don't like it mute it )

god the list goes on for sooooooo long and i am sure i have forgotten tons of other stuff .
The game is suppose to be fun , yet some people are more stressed ingame then at there jobs / work .
It's a shame seeing so many people beeing such 🤬

was in a top speed room on SSX last night - first time I raced it as I just recently bought the track this weekend.

The race starts, I get bumped into the car in front of me and instead of trying to work my way back in, I pulled off to the side to get out of the way. The pack keeps running, so I turned around and worked my way a little bit further back so the wait wouldn't be as long - mind you, every car was already ghosted out at this point. Pulled over to the inside barrier and stopped. I know that its always faux pas to go backwards on a track but SSX is over 10 miles long!

2 or 3 start moaning, don't drive backwards. I replied with a "sorry, just trying to get closer to the pack." I jump back in, and we get the drafting going. Was fun, got up to 467 mph but when the race was over, some kid started trying to act all bad***, trashing me. I messaged "what's the problem, I was already out of the lead and was going to be last, I thought that this was just a top speed room." Also, interesting to note that I was running faster than 9 of the 12 in the room.

some tried to get a rally for a reject vote on me which he got enough. Sent the host a msg, stating I didn't know what was going on, sorry for any mishap.

He actually replied back maturely. "Sorry, that wasn't me, you didn't mess anything up. Some guy thought that you couldn't keep up (even though you were running faster than him!). Catch me in a room next time and we'll run together, can help you with top speed settings"

Nice to see that there are still some that can act like grown ups.

If you're in search for a top speed SSRX room, look for a room usually called "Redbulls with wings", "Redbull gives you wings" or "Redbulls 600mph+". We wait up for straggled members who've lost the main pack, communicate about our state, and as you can see by one of the room titles, exceed 600mph.

There's often a Japanese room that also exceeds 600mph, although you'll have no communication with the racers, and they tend to kick out any foreigners.

I fancy a go at this. When is this happening? I have your set up!

Not a particular instance, but have had this happen on many occasions, probably my biggest pet peeve:

People nagging to raise the PP

I've noticed that its nearly always the worst driver in the room that is the nagging one. And usually if you as the host don't listen to them they throw a hissy fit and leave. So annoying....

And folks that can't wait 5-10 minutes for the next race... some folks just have no patience 👎

 I got kicked from a Route X room with no restrictions on PP or HP. I figured seeing as there's no restrictions and people are using Veyrons I might aswell flog my X2010. Perhaps an overrated troll car it might be but when in Rome...

And yes, GTP_Mafiaboy it was me you kicked. :) Thanks, I'll remember that.

The worst has to be when people come in saying how their car is better and faster...then they lose and complain. Then when people take leagues to seriously, and not to mention people that go into a room that may say "clean PP racing" and they wipe out everyone. I'll think of an online story and post it later

In regards of my worse... Well not really worse but a massive pet hate.

People asking to up the PP, but when I refuse they exploit it by down tuning hypercars.
People asking to use softer tyres, even to the point where they want Racing Softs.

Why is it so hard to host a shuffle race without attracting all the dirty drivers and whiners? I had some great races at first, but that all ended rather quickly. Between dirty driving and fighting, I don't know what made it worse..

If you host a Nurburgring shuffle race, you might get less dirty drivers and complainers. I rarely get any of them.:)

Throw 'eavy damage on too, that will send any douchebags packing :)

People only using Racing Softs on heavily tuned street cars while I stick with Sports Medium and almost stock cars (just a few tweeks)... It doesn't bother me really as long as I'm playing with friends in a private room since even if I loose all the time, it's fun to share the track with real people instead of the AI. Besides, I've proven myself to be a great driver when we use fully stock cars, or when tires are restricted to sports. I actually got my first victory that way :D

This. I agree so much!

It does work so well! I might actually do it tonight, get a full room going the slap a Nurb HD race on and see how many leave

Sometimes I'll run or join "same car" and shuffle rooms with full restrictions, real grip, and including having ABS removed. Usually though I won't have damage on as most damage is caused unfairly by other players in my opinion. It may take away a piece of realism, but there's always that one douche no matter where you go or what you do, that will punt you off, divebomb you or nudge you on to the grass when either of you are making an overtaking maneuver and you end up with the race ruining damage.
