Worst you've dealt with online...

I've had a very good time in open drift lobbys but there is 1 event that leaves me hated by 2 drifters. I get into room where Guy 1 (both guys had mic's I will just say. I do not have a mic) is attempting backwards entrys in a 4wd car on the first turn of Tsukuba. I say "you should use a rwd car or people will think your n00b." He replys on mic with "I can drift what I want!" I type "I know. I'm just sayin'. people will think your n00b." He then sais "Your a n00b!" I haven't called him a n00b but through his strange opinion he thinks I'm taking the p1ss. In the meantime others online are typing swears at other drifters.

Later both guys start going backwards around track and crashing the 8 or so others in the lobby. Then they make roadblock at turn 1. I handbrake turn and make a perfect park directly beside both of them while others get collected. Both start laughing like idiots on their mics. I then type "you can't drift for s**T so you resort to blocking the track *facepalms at fail*." Then they get everyone else to have a go at me."My granny drifts better!" "Drift faster." I laugh out loud in real life and type "I ain't even mad." Then they start asking the rest of the room: "Who do you want kicked?" I left before they did kick me.

Later that night I messaged guy 1. The message titled "love" went as such:
hmm, you haven't completed any license tests yet I'm a n00b? Anyway, next time please don't bother resorting to having a go at me. You blocked the corner like a 12 Y.O would. I only said you were n00b drifter cuz all I had seen you do was drive the course backwards. I will just say, if you think your a DK, go on GTPlantet and pick a fight there. The day you show up <a drifter I don't want to specify> will be the day I'll give you my Monaro. Peace out." That was the message word for word sent by me. I got no reply

A month later I stirred the pot by messaging him again saying I wanted to see if he was a rubbish drifter or if he grew up and that I was inviting him to have a free sesh at team drift rooms. He replys with a "WTFudge" without the udge bit at the end. 5 Minutes later guy 2 who I did not message sais: "NOW LISTEN HEAR: <guy 1's psn> CAN ******G DRIFT!" I type in reply "Thats good to hear. I hope he meets <2 drifters I will not specify>. They're great drifters." In reply guy 2 just says "ill show u drif." In reply I finally say I am sure they can drift and I wasn't trying to have a go at them (even though twice I sort of did). I am yet to see of these 2 in my room. I have no issue if they do join. I turned Mics and 4WD off .

You OWNED them!!! 👍

I wonder what car do they drift in real life with. Maybe a Civic DX "Type R" or a 🤬 Focus "SS Cobra R".

Just joined a Ferrari Vs Lambo race room.

I chose a car I've just thrown together - a Ferrari SP1 - The race at Laguna Seca however was just a bumper car fest into Andretti. Wham it down the inside - I'll use that guys car to make sure I don't leave the track.

Not one of them managed a single clean lap. cutting corners, running way wide - best was up the hill into the Corkscrew and some Lambo numbty sails down the left side of my in a Zanardi like fashion... except he didn't try to mate with the tyre wall on the other side of the track. The Final corner feels like a shooting gallery if you stay o the inside... you get "Plato'd" from the rear. If you swing in from out wide on the racing line you get "Muller'd" with a ramming block pass on the inside that would in reality leave a thousand shards of carbon fibre and plastic and glass - rather than one fuming driver and one idiot merryly ramming his way around the track as if hitting a car means he gets the paint chip.

Grrr.

Posted this in the videos section already, but maybe appropriate for this thread...

*snip*

Tried to make the best of the worst :D
Well done mate! I commented as well. I can't quote it as it contains against the AUP stuff.

I got booted from a lobby just because i said that i didnt rate the nissan gtr spec v (on the game at least) i mean isnt everyone entitled to an opinion? :(

Does anybody else often experience the, what I call, 'dead man in the room'?
It's when you enter a lobby where the host isn't there or doesn't respond.
Now, I've set up lobbies myself where it took a while for someone to enter and in the meantime I did other stuff but I always frequently check if someone enters as I hate timewasters.
I now ask if someone is there before I spend time setting up my car and testing it, if I suspect there's a 'dead man in the room'.

Besides the dirty drivers, xenophobes and childish players with mics, what is bothering me the most is the quantity of sore losers who leave the race after realising I am out of reach at the ring.

Losing does not always say you are a bad player, but giving up and running away do tell me you are the most miserable player type.

Have encountered this a few times my self, it's a bit sad really :grumpy:

This is why i stay away from US region rooms, ever see a Nurb Trackday w/ no Aids and restricted to SH tires in US region? Didnt think so.

I have been hosting some shuffle races recently ("fun fair shuffle" if anyone here wants to jump in when they see it up) and for the most part they are clean, with a little bit of bumping and rubbing. Kind of like a Super Touring race with street cars. Some apologies thrown around at the end, mostly friendly.
For some inexplicable reason there is always one guy that comes in and rams everybody or is just a racist or a plain jerk. I mean, I disable mics, it takes a lot of energy to type out tons of hate.

Any good stories people? I got a question, it's probably redundant and I know all your likely answers but still I want a bit of input. I was running just ahead of a tuned Enzo with my 599, which is stock, I was pushing the 599 really hard (got within half a second of the hosts lap time with a tuned
458 ), however as a result of the whooping the 599 was billowing smoke from its rear tires.. You know how with the bigger cars you have to drive with the rear of the thing. Now the tuned Enzo had no chance of catching me, later on the driver of that car and I met in another room that he was hosting, he had a modded SLS (i could hear its exhaust, no idea how heavy it was modified) and I was getting away from him in one of my stock SLSs (save for the tires which are sport softs), I was giving the SLS maybe 75%, bottom line I was out lapping him by almost a second per lap without much effort. So I'm the better driver, but at the same time to get the 599 going as fast as it was required a lot of the aforementioned driving with the rear of the car. For the first few sections as a result the 599s tire smoke was reaching back to the Enzo, I of course apologized after setting my time and he was cool with it because he understood I was pushing my car (were actually PSN friends now) but my question is this, should I have even pushed the 599 that hard in front of him even if i was the quicker car? I wasn't holding the guy up or anything I was just whooping my Ferrari really hard, should I have been more conservative til I got out farther in front of him? What's your take? My PSN by the way in case you've seen me is jaja987, so if you see me or know me just say hi! I'd appreciate the opportunity to get to know more members on here that I see on the track. I think it would further my online experience

I'm really getting sick of getting kicked out of the rooms because of one's nationality. I'm probably up to my 10th, since last night. Not french? Kick!

And just now, once again, for no obvious reason, besides the hosts fellow countryman demanding kicking the ''schwede'' out of the room. Why? Couldn't handle the fact that I was having fun in my GSX-R/4 drifting?

:grumpy:

I don't agree with the 'one country only' thing but I understand why that happens. I must admit I've been in rooms that say "AUS & NZ Only" but only because it was the only good room available (I mainly do shuffle races, tons of fun :)).

Having a drift room open usually having people other than Aussies or Kiwis does start to annoy me, even when OZ/NZ is in the title. Either way, I only kick people due to bad behavior, not nationality. I have an American who regularly enters my rooms. Because he is a good sport I always let him drift along with everyone else.

the usual idiots who drive X1's in drift rooms. Ruins my perfectly round drifts.

but probably, this is THE worst. I got booted in a break-in room... when I brought out my X2011. :grumpy::grumpy:

Could they be booting you for the same reason? for pulling out a car they didnt like in their room?

BlackSeries
^ not really. From my experience, most foreign users are laggy.

I don't know about "most". I check out the Japanese rooms once in a while and their connections are solid. They have more bars and stars than most North American rooms.

On topic though, today I was in a drifting room a buddy decides to use his tank car, I'm not complaining about the car per say, I'm complaining the fact that he couldn't drift it. Its not that easy passing the tank car on Tsukuba that's spinning our on every corner. Most of the time was spent behind this guy until I got fed up and left.

Why is there always that one prick?

Why is there always that one prick?

Because there are human beings in this world. Thankfully I have not seen much of that kind of fail drifter (apart from the 2 guys I've talked about a couple pages back. They take the cake)

I joined a NASCAR room and the host told me to put rain tires. The whole time the loading bar was still loading and was still. I was going to ask the host why he insisting on stupid rain tires, but then one of his loyal members told me not to ask. The host was on a rage kick, so I didn't ask. The bar continued to stay in the same spot and I told the host to start the race without me. He said no and said I was going to enter the room at the last second. When I was writing a message denying that he kicked me. I was actually sort of relieved he kicked me because he seemed like a jerk.

Last night in a room called ''650pp GT'' the track was Nurburgring GP/F and 28 laps, Mechanical damage on full, fuel and tires consuption on, no aids except ABS and penalties full with practie included :), Selected the Ford GT Spec II Test Car, Full tuned it, just a bit nerfed engine, and did my own nurburgring GP/F set up, that I will not say it :sly:, The result:
I lapped all the grid (15 other players, nobody quited) 6 times , after that they started to tell me that I was a hacker and started making me racist jokes and questions, I answered all of them with sarcasm and McDonald's references, as they were all americans, and I instantely got kicked :indiff:, the worst thing is that they sounded like all those kids I play Battlefield or Call Of Duty with...8-12 year old kids playing M rated games and being racist? you got to be kidding me :ill:

Oh, and those countless times I got instantely kicked by rednecks in those ''Nascar only'' rooms

Worst i've came across was actually yesterday. I don't at all often play online, but I did join a 470PP Nurburgring lobby because I just got a 370Z GT Academy, I was excited to drive it.. I downtuned little, and used that. I started first, and found it weird that everyone was wrecking behind me. I guess first turn woos, but I also took notice that the "lobby leader" was behind me coming into Aremburg... on exiting the corner he went into the wall... then I was immediately booted/rejected from the lobby...

I'm not even sure what I did. But ok.

You did nothing. He couldn't pass you so he got agitated, tried a desperation move and crashed. He kicked you for not laying down and surrendering position as his candy a:censored:s wanted you to do.

I got kicked from my own room once. It was on la sarthe(no chicane) free run and was titled cruise, drag and tune. I was cruising in my Art Morrison 'Vette down the straight to the inside just past the first chicane and I get head on rammed by a Veyron and he proceeds to cuss me and be whine bag. I'm tell him get over it i was out of the racing line and my car was BRIGHT FRICKIN RED how could you miss me with clear skies. He continued to piss and moan then apparently a few of his buddies were with him so they begin ramming me to the point that I can't make a lap with out getting rammed 10 times. I start a reject vote on all 4 of them, then i get rejected.

The room I hosted tonight.. it frustrated me to the point that I just up and quit and I'm actually fuming.. Over a game. It was that bad.

Valid, I have never took into thought of that kind of desperation. You would think if you race on the North Circuit, the way to pass another is like a game of chess.
