Last week I entered a GT500 lobby racing at monza, 500hp, 1100kg. Well, Monza is the track I know better in Gt5 and Im really quick there in a gt500 car - my favorite racing series in the game.

I started from pole, kept out of trouble and finished 1st with 8sec ahead after 8 laps. In the second race, again I kept my cool at the 1st chicane and was opening a gap while everybody else was spinning or losing time fighting for positions. When the host, running in 2nd, noticed that he couldn't catch me, he just kicked me out...

It's a shame to be kicked out just because you are driving better than the rest. I personally love when there's a fast driver in the room, because I like the challenge of trying to beat him...

Yeah i see some once in a while from need for speed shift 1 and 2... Lot of them think shift is better than underground was and try to compare GT5 to SHIFT... I just laugh... But i have always known GT is superior and it will always be

really?, lol, GT5 has been kind of a failure, shift 2 may not have good physics but, sounds alone, it kills gt5, damage alone, it rapes gt5, tracks alone, it destroys gt5, car selection alone, runs over gt5, gameplay alone, it just laughs at gt5

my worst situation

only 3 ppl in the lobby, all 3 of us were using gallardos, the race was at monaco, 5 laps, as we started the race i was second during the first lap until i saw an oportunity and went for it, i did 2nd and 3rd in first place, by mid 3rd lap, the last place decided to go backwards attempting to stop me and causing me to lose the race, while his friend continued to hunt me, even though i was already 5 seconds ahead, and there you go, the idiot trying to stop me, missed me like 5 times, in the last lap he finally managed to hit me and i lost my gap,he almost had an orgasm, he was screaming like a retard because he had finally made me lose control, anyway i still finished first with a considerably underpowered gallardo, since mine wasnt fully built yet, after the race ended, they basically started with racist jokes since im from mexico, they were both from usa, poor idiots, they just couldnt beat me, and then proceeded to kick me, i wasnt gonna stay anyway but, poor ppl

When the SSRX DLC was available to play online (if you didn't have the DLC), we were doing a race with cars like Audi R8s and stuff. 3 X2011 idiots come in and start swerving from side to side, messing up our slipstream or just completely spinning us out. After three of those races, the host decided to brb...forever. It took about 1 hour to reject the host. We did another race, then the next race, the new host decides to brb forever. After half an hour of telling people to "REJECT THE HOST!!!!!", I just left. Worst lobby ever, I can't believe I stayed in the 1st host stint.
 
Comparing gt5 to NSF shift2 is like comparing me to usain bolt. I don't really like much about shift 2. The only reason I got it is to have the pagani heieraereaya. But after I tried it I went straight to gt5 again.

Anyway back on topic. Bulls***ers. The kind of guys who get a zonda R out and say the only way to get it is to ask pd if you're "Worthy". I pulled mine out and so did everyone in the server. Amazingly funny moment, 15 zondaRs at top gear. Amazing server! :)

Ok, earlier today I was in a NASCAR at Motegi room. We were running no tire wear because its totally messed as we all know about the tire wear issue. These guys come into the room and asked us to turn tire wear on. The host said no and that if you don't like it you can leave an find another room that does have it. He says sorry an by that time another one of his buddies joined. His friend went on to say we are all 🤬 and no good racers. I've raced with him before and he has wrecked the whole field because of no tires left, another reason it wasn't on. He was on a racing team called Old Guys Racing. You would think he would act more age appropriate? Just always remember one thing guys. The little red button on the bottom left of your screens will solve all your GT5 problems!

One time I was in a Route X room. Everyone was happy, and running about their drags when this one dude (I'll call him T) shows up. He brings out his Veyron, and soon 3 or 4 other people bring out either that or an X1 and drag each other on the front stretch. Everyone else was driving either an SL65, Aventador, JZA80, Corvette, Enzo, F1, or Cien. I was testing out tunes on my F430, and doing full laps (which nobody minded at all). Then someone says something along the lines of "only noobs use Veyrons or X1s for drags". T posts "u just mad cuz ur veyron is slow". I put "i agree with (can't remember the PSN name)". T then calls me a retard, then the host says "how about I kick you". I thought he was referring to T, but no, a few seconds later he puts my name. Without even being able to explain myself, I got kicked out....for no 🤬 reason. So, apparently with this guy, calling people retards and all that is fine but testing tunes and not getting in anyones way isn't. The room title even said "drag/breakin/WE". Whatever. He was probably some stupid 10 year old. 10 year olds shouldn't even be allowed online.

Another time, I was in a Daytona room when two people in X1s (when the room title even said "NO X1") kept ramming me. I posted numerous messages in the chat box telling the host to kick them but he was too busy driving his 599 around at 20mph (he wasn't paused). And the funny part? These guys were in their 20s. 🤬 immature 🤬.

One day, I went into two different rooms (warning-lots of NSFW language). One was a free run on the Ring, with 10 other people. The host kicks me for no reason at all. I message him and he says "I kicked everyone except my friends because it was too crowded". Crowded? CROWDED!? It's a 🤬 13 mile track, and everyone was spread out doing laps, for 🤬.

Second, I went into a GT500 room on the Daytona Road Course, with 4 other people. Before the race started, I brake too late going into a turn, get two tires on the grass, and spin out. Yet, the host claimed I was lagging. The race then starts, and I take a rather large lead over everyone else largely thanks to two of the people wrecking each other on the first turn. As soon as I get back on to the main oval, the host quit the race and kicks me because I was supposedly lagging on his end. So, I come back two hours later. Same 4 people, same course. We race, and I actually finish it. But, as I was doing hot laps, I went into the slight left bend in the infield a bit too fast, went into the grass and spun out. Of course, the host again says I'm lagging, and he says on his mic "Alright, I'm going to have to send you on your way. You had your chance". I had my chance? He acted like it was MY fault I was lagging on HIS end. It was HIS fault, HE has a ****ty connection. I can't see myself lagging because everything looks normal to me. Don't like people lagging? DON'T PLAY THE:censored: GAME ONLINE, OR GET A BETTER CONNECTION!!!!! Simple as that!!

Little touchy are we? I'll just correct you on one thing, your last story. Lag can effect everyone and anyone differently. Sometimes that's the case, you may lag on his part or the other way around. He could have been halfway across the Earth and things appear fine to you, but not his end. Depends on how the signal is translated. Also, it could very well be your connection. There's always the chance. That is all. :)
 
Dang, just left another room for one of most annoying person I've ever race with. My turtle beach says I'm talking when I'm not all the time and it gets me into stuff I didn't say. The race before I was running 3rd at Motegi and hit the dreaded apron and spun out. This guy has the balls to tell me i suck and can't drive when he was complaining the whole race about everything possible. Before the race he thinks I was talking smack to him when I wasn't. The next race starts, he says he is sick of losing and can't stand to race anymore, he rammed me in the first turn. I didn't care because boost was on and can run 29.1's alone. He then drives backwards and wrecks everyone. Host dosen't care and thinks its a huge joke. Reported him 5 times then left room.

GT5 is peer to peer so it could very well have been you're connection and the host had a good reason to kick you.
 
I host every night. In order to insure a fun clean room I maintain a large list of friends. Since you can only have 100 I regularly go through and delete old friends that I haven’t seen in ages to make room for new ones. I don’t allow mics so it’s important for me to know you by your driving. I like to get some side by side racing with someone before accepting a FR.

There was a guy who was showing up several times a week, and seemed to me to be a really safe clean driver. One night, for some reason (I think he wasn’t seeing everyone on track) he was going to leave and come back. So I shot him a FR to help him get back in easier. Weeks went by and he had become a real regular, no one ever complained about him being dirty.

One night one of my closer friends commented to him in the lobby about blocking. I didn’t think too much of it. The next day I got an email from the closer friend saying how this guy had sent him several ranting foul mouthed emails about his blocking comment.

A few nights later we’re at susuka east, side by side, coming out of the last corner heading into the last lap. I’m on his inside and have a good run. As I’m passing him he slams me into the pit wall. I wasn’t sure how it happened, I didn’t think he went out wide enough to catch the grass, but with no side view mirrors I couldn’t tell. Then I watch as he catches up the car in front and slams him into the wall.

After the race I’m sitting there kind of stunned. The second guy he hit says something about it and he says “yeah, so, it was the last lap”. Instantly, I’m infuriated so I kick him. I email him and tell him I’m not going to unfriend him, but I can’t have driving like that in my room. Well, just like my friend I get several foul mouthed ranting emails from the guy. The one upside is, he unfriended me.
 
Just had a really bad experience.

The room was titled "no touch rule. stock"
So I went in and got a gallardo from reccomended because the room was limited to 552 bhp.
When we started the race, everyone had tuned supras and super gt cars so i knew i was doomed.
So we start the race (which was at La Sarthe 09) and i somehow manage to come out out of the first corner second.
But then the trouble started with people running into the back of others.
Going down the first phase of Mulsanne i had a lengthy gap over the next guy.
he was gaining on me quick and ended up catching me as we aproached the first chicane.
I broke late so that i could keep up with him, but he didnt even use his brakes which sent him and i (after beeing collected by everyone else) hurtling through the gravel trap.
I exited the race and left the room fuming.

I know that this is a common theme and i know you guys are sick of stories like this but it is a really annoying situation to the people trying to drive properly and have fun.

I am testing out my Nissan leaf GT Academy and while driving it this 11 year old with a ford GT keeps ramming me off the track. I replied "stop hitting people off the track (NAME)." he replies in the chat log "trolololol you can't tell me what to do." so he comes around again and hits my car directly into a drag race in progress. I explain in the chat log that it was the guy with the Ford GT and he replies "ur welcome." at this point I am just infuriated. I ask the host to kick and he is AFK. I tell people to call reject vote but that doesn't work either. I end up joining in the rabble and trying to make his life miserable by trapping him in a corner with a very heavy car. Woe with me...

Finally got some online action in tonight, joined a shuffle room, and was bumped off track in every race, every corner, every lap. It got old after about 2 corners. I then race on Spa in racecars, I qualify on pole, drop 1 bloody wheel off at Eau Rouge while ahead by a decent margin already, only to get a 5 second penalty, then have the 2nd place car literally drive right through me.. So close to several wins each time, but lost it thanks to something so stupid..
 
Last night I was in a shuffle room, had a couple of good clean races with the host and the room seems generally clean. A few races in dude A accuses dude B in the room of ramming, dude B says sorry it was an accident.

Dude A starts mouthing off about how much dude B sucks and how awesome he, dude A is, "I was top 50 gta 2012, you're just a nub", "you really suck man" (in a less family friendly tone) etc. etc.

Dude B doesn't respond to obvious baiting.

Dude A keeps ranting and generally being obnoxious. Chatbox keeps popping up DURING the race that both dude A and dude B have dropped out of = quite annoying and pretty poor sport when everyone else is still racing.

Race finishes.

Dude A keeps ranting, host says chill out. Dude A says he is going to punt dude B off in the next race. Host kicks dude A. Rightly so.

Dude A creates new PSN account called dude_b_sux (obviously not actually this) and re-joins rooms.

Really? A new account? Just to troll GT5? You have NOTHING BETTER to do?

I roll my eyes, realise there are some really maladjusted people out there and go have have a smoke.
 
A few days ago this guy was racing with me at Daytona. His speed 8 was no match for my GT-One. The only reason he could keep up was due to slip, and he promptly decided to ram me into the wall at the end of turn 2 and went on to win (even if I was behind some 5 seconds and regained 4 through the final lap). I do some complains to the host (which was a friend of mine) but he ends up doing nothing. Next track: Ring. I joke with him, full of confidence, that I was going to finish ahead miles of him, since he had to ram me to win the previous race. The pp was set at 700 and I simply used a stock GT-One. I proceed to win the race easily without any effort involved, and the guy (who was level 40 A-Spec and B-Spec) finished more than minute and half behind. He then proceeds to tell me to "turn off the cheats" (all the aids except ABS were disallowed). I just laugh and tell him to learn to play. After that the host had to go and closed down the server. A worse moment turns into a good moment.

I got dive-bombed and forced off my line twice by the same guy, he claims I was drunk because I never gave him the inside link while ahead of him..
