Worst You've Dealt With Online...

Now i'm worried again :nervous:
I've had another look because I wasn't 100%

All clear 👍

Guess my browser only now registered the post change. Sorry about that :indiff:

People in Quick Match Lobbies who try to overtake anywhere on the track at the narrow Mount Panorama. Trying to race in that race will almost certainly guarantee that you're in the wall more often than not if you don't manage to get clear of the field early.

You had me excited about that QM... I figure the rooms must really be hopping if someone's complaining about the driving.
What a disappointment.
10 cars. The race was in the dark, the car felt like it was in a channel canal.
I would've welcomed some more shenanigans because it was the most boring thing ever.
And the payout was poor.
I'll never do that again. :yuck:

Racing Softs make me nauseous... :ill:

They remove so much character and realism of the car and turns it into DriveClub for the PS3.

I would be fine if 99.9% of the rooms weren't RS for 500PP cars. Like really?! What the point for such cars if you're just gonna go the easy route?

Payout for Quick Matches is actually quite good, IMO.

Yesterday, I finished last in a dirty race... And someone sent me a rage mail. The only thing it says in the subject was 🤬 YOU. :irked:

It seems people don't like proper cruise rooms.

Became the host and decided, with the help of @CaptainTNT, to switch aids off and limit tyres, prohibit NOS and also switch damage and tyre wear on.

Pretty much everyone left saying it was terrible and they hated it.

To be fair, this game is more realistic with ABS on, ABS off just doesn't really work like it would IRL, it's too sensitive and lacks feeling. (Not that ABS on is without it's faults, but I think it feels better than ABS off). Also, I use chase cam to compensate for the lack of realism in cockpit view, that being the lack of G-forces, which are normally used to feel the car, so not sure why it's a cheat view.
Try ABS off with racing breaks.

I really wish PD would split quick races into casual lobbies (all aids allowed, no damage, weak penalties) & hardcore lobbies (no SRF, heavy damage, strong penalties, real slipstreaming, no boost) with hardcore lobbies having higher payouts. There is no point in racing in quick race lobbies against people who can't drive and want to play demolition derby.

I can't help thinking that even heavy damage won't stop the nutballs.

I was in a drift lobby that didn't say anything about mics being necessary, and shortly after setting the top score, someone said my name and asked if I had a mic. I wrote no, and then I was kicked.

There should be more characters allowed in the room title, to allow for just a little more specification about the lobbies.
It would save a lot of people wasting time.

I don't see why having a mic would ever be necessary. The heck do people need to talk to me about? Is it really worth kicking someone for not talking? I can still type! Just sounds like major abuse of power to me. Most people go insane with the slightest bit of authority.
I think some people just want it to be like hanging out at a diner.

Just got kicked by some dude named bugattiveyron with some numbers following it...I joined his drift lobby and he hits my Chrysler Prowler mid-drift in his...wait for it...Red Bull car.

...Really?

I called him out and he and his team of bros ganged up on me until I got kicked.

Crap like this makes me feel like I'm too old to be playing videogames. GT1 released in the USA when I was 14. That's how old I feel most people who play GT6 online are. I'd probably have been just like them if I had online play back then. After all, I used to spam the GTO Twin Turbo and Escudo like they do now with the Red Bulls...

While this is true it still isn't a good excuse for their behavior.
I didn't say they shouldn't try to behave well, and I certainly didn't say you had to like it when they don't. ;)

Same with adults with mental problems on the internet. Doesn't mean web sites have to just let people post egregiously insane abuse & nuttiness all over forums & comments.

But I imagine that wherever you go, whether it be online gaming in GT6 or wherever...
The people behaving badly at any given time are probably a mix of kids, mentally disordered adults, and people just having a bad day who aren't so bad most of the time.

Hmm... the worst I dealt with would have to be the time I was at ssr7 in a cruise room where I was coming in to one of the hairpins and since it was just cruising I slowed down early and right as I was about to turn I got smashed into by a gt-r going who knows how fast, said person who sounded no older than I'd say 14 proceeded to hound me about how I can't drive and that I'm a terrible driver in real life, (which I'd say I do pretty decent in this category) I then asked the question if he's ever driven a car before and he actually said "no" I then laughed hysterically before I was kicked by him for some odd reason?!:D:lol::sly::gtpflag:

I was in a "cruise" lobby at Monaco. Let's just say that I was rammed by everyone because I brought the E-Sport rally car.
