GT7 or GT Sport?

This is no Battlefront II.

We need a real GT7. PD need to change their tune.

-there are no aftermarket parts. A real let down, since we had them in previous titles.
-still no tuning setup slots / no saved files to share between players in-game
-the menus are still too slow and not intuitive
-the multiplayer lobby selection is a mess. We need something like FM's
-the economy system is simply stupid and for people with no time to play it's impossible to get cars that cost millions of credits
-daily rewards are stupid too, since we get the same cars dozens of times and we can't even get rid of them in exchange for those precious CREDITS we desperately need

These are just a few reasons.

With some free cars and some tracks each month.
I think GT7 will have all of the tracks for us to unlock in the career mode, and the cars as well to Grind & buy at the Playstation Store.
Who knows the cars you brought at the PS Store for GT Sports, PD might let you have them for GT7.

I really hope so. Would be a big help in case you don't want to grind in the game.

For those who will make the jump to GT7, I hope you at least get a port over of your GTS Garage...
That would be nice if PD let us do that for GT7 :) but I don't think it will be all cars from GT Sport garage, it may only be some cars and we have to wait and see what PD does about that.

At least the ones we actually bought with our hard earned cash and milestones...

DWG can be left behind or converted into cash...

As for me personally the online aspect is what made me buy PS4 just to play this game after all the years. I stopped casual gaming at the end of PS3 era when I was about 18 years old and just didn't have time for it anymore. I'm very happy that there are these online championships and I'm very motivated to get better at it, do better time trials etc. so I can compete with real people and I'm very curious to see how it turns out. I would never be interested in this game if not for the online/competition aspect.

We know the new GT will bring big changes in racing tools. Probably with the addition of climate change and time.
However, I am unsure about the cast of circuits and cars.

I really hope PD doesn't do as it did with GT Sport (with a tiny cast of tracks and no classic tracks). I wish all cars and tracks that were already added to GT Sport are already included in the release content. Also, I hope the original tracks and modern racecars (WEC cars, Blancpain etc.) and current supercars (Senna, Valkyrie, Project One etc.) will appear as well.

I hope the new GT is a game that really conveys the feeling of completeness, a mix of past, present and future, as Kaz himself mentioned. Obviously, without exhausting the possibility of future DLCs, especially with regard to circuits.

By the way, Circuit Experience mode can be enhanced by adding alternate layouts and providing an informative encyclopedia of the entire history of the circuit and its corners. Something as already done, but in a more perfected way.

Ah! I hope the tuning shop will return to allow the modification of racing fairings (wings), such as the possibility of turning a street car into a GT4 racing car.

A gt7 of course. PS5 release, Bloodborne2 + GT7 = sold.

I haven't played GT since gt4 because I scaped terrible ps3 era. Time to come back home. Let us hope we at least get a tyre model in 7.

GT7 as a full GT game compilating all previous GTs with the licences, races, modes, tracks and cars and for it's online mode, GT SPORT, this way, GT sport would be updated and tied with the GT7 as its online mode benefiting both online racers(bring back shuffle) and offline casual(split screen needed, got to flex on my siblings) couch racers.

Someone mentioned that GTSU on PS4 would have less cars than GTSU on PS5. Right now, GTS can support 30 cars in Campaign Mode(Mission Challenge Stage 6/8). It's also multi-class

How that works for the servers, IF PD want to add more cars to Sport Mode grids(I think there are spots for 24 car grid), I have no idea.

Since more people play offline, 30 car grids with a split multi-class option(not the one User car and 19 AI in the other class), would be a huge win for GTSU.

There should be more features aside from that. Features that are useful and enjoying at the same time.

I would have to disagree with this. The menus in GT Sport are great; easily some of the best UI design for the series.

The next GT game looks very good alongside GT Sport on PS5, let's hope in the early 2020 we get some news on the next real game, and I hope will it come out at the end of next year.

GTS' "license" is Driving School.

Well, those are just the start, ofc there should be more, but the beginning is old GT's offline content, and GTS' online content combined.

After experiencing the fun of the online racing in GT Sport, I don't think I can go back to a singleplayer racing game against AI like the old GT Modes.

Racing against real people is just so much deeper, varied and thrilling, especially once you start to get up into the middle-to-higher ranks where people know how to actually race like real life (ie. Taking different lines through corners, being offensive/defensive with driving style, tyre/fuel strategies coming into play, deciding when to have a 'battle' with an opponent knowing that its going to slow both your lap times down for however long it goes on for, etc. etc. There's actually a lot of strategy involved in optimising your performance in a race.). People have emotions, feel pressure, can be forced into making mistakes after applying consistent pressure to overtake for a while, depending how good of a driver they are.

Racing against AI just doesn't have the same level of depth I find. Of course not everyone is the same, some people maybe don't like racing online, so there should always be some sort of a singleplayer mode.

Additional content (cars, tracks, ways you can modify vehicles) is always good to see. Ability to use VR in all races, dynamic weather conditions on all tracks, more accurate tyre model/physics, good damage model, better penalty system, being able to create 'race teams' with your friends and do online endurance races together with driver swaps and stuff, are all things that spring to mind that I'd be keen on seeing in a future GT, or as improvements to GT Sport.

Whatever it's named, GT Sport or GT7; if it offers the same quality or better online racing than currently, I'll be playing it.

Update GTS looks better for me. Or relase GT7 and combine with GTS, like mode for GT7 (like Driveclub & DC bikes). And keep statistics from GTS in GT7.

I feel like there is no reason GT7 can't simply have a more extensive sport mode. Races A, B & C on tracks and conditions that are supported on GT sport, and then races D, E and F that are supported only on GT7.
As I feel they will support GTSport for at least another year if not 2 (with cars and tracks) and will have backwards compatibility as well, the servers will remain up for the foreseable future imo. That should be enough for GTSport.
I'm on the fence about GT7 being cross platform, I see where people are coming from in saying that it makes most economic sense for PD, but as we know PlayStation as a brand is more important. GT7 will sell consoles, and I imagine GT7 will be so good, and have so much content and will also be supported with dlc's for at least as long as GTSport (3-5 years) if only to keep it current and buzzed up.
The PS4 never really came down in price over its lifecycle (maybe 50 bucks), so for me, to wait a couple years from now to buy it would be a real waste. But like I said, GT7 will still be a good reason the buy PS5 even 2-3 years after it is released. (Start saving now lol)

love GTS but I think this series needs a fresh start on the new console. For me GT peaked on PS2 so I’m hoping for a game that’s similar to GT4 in terms of single player along with an improved sport mode. That seems like a pretty good compromise for everyone.
