RM Sotheby’s is wrong. Imperial was a separate marque beginning in 1955. http://www.imperialclub.com/Repair/Lit/Marque/index.htm
Thanks for teaching me something new.
But it's made by Chrysler, in a Chrysler factory so my mistake was maybe not inexcusable.
I want the Imperial then.

Did you understand which one I wanted before? :)

Edit:it seems to be a very common mistake.when I searched Imperial only one link in the first 3 pages deals with Imperial, the Wikipedia article, the rest writes Chrysler Imperial.

I understood which you meant. I was just having a bit of fun. I wasn't trying to be mean. I can totally understand why you would think it was a Chrysler since it was sold as the Chrysler Imperial for years. That inability to separate Imperial from Chrysler in people's minds is a big reason they couldn't make the Imperial marque a success.

I didn't take it as mean, I tried to convey that I was just ribbing, sorry if it didn't come across.
Glad to learn this. I just watched an episode of Jay Leno where he continues to say Chrysler Imperial :D

It's the '70s and you want a truck. Not just any run of the mill Ford or Chevy. You want something upmarket. Something special. Something like these:

Dodge The Dude

Also available in Canada as the Fargo The Dude

Dodge Li'l Red Express

Dodge Warlock

GMC Beau James

GMC Gentleman Jim

Jeep Honcho

I'm one of the few people who don't mind the new M3, but the RS4 is a far more attractive all-round product.
