WOW Turning FFB up to 7 makes driving A LOT easier...

Sorry for making another thread, first one was complaining about complainers:ouch: But now I see people here are great and looking only into sharing experiences and information so here is mine.

I played with FFB strength set on 3. Don't now why, maybe heard it somewhere... Oversteering was constant, even when I got the hang of it, it was still a constant threat. I saw posts here where people said:"Physics are great but FFB needs tweaking..." I now understand that. I don't know if those people tried to increase FFB or did they play the whole time with higher FFB but to me after seting FFB; first to 5 then to 7; made driving a lot easier. A lot less oversteer and just general feel of the road. First time I set it to 5 I felt like on railroad tracks. :)

So if you have difficulties, I suggest you try increasing FFB cus it helped me, even made my new personal best 1:39:202 :) And I made a lot more clear and fast laps which is much important.

I used to play Prologue with a FFB strength of 6, but then when I tried the max. setting (10), things feel much better. For this time trial demo, the feedback seems a bit better than that of Prologue. I can finally feel the bumps on the main straight with my G25. :) And I hope the FFB from the wheel is even better for the full game.

I've got my FFB on 10 allways except with the Ferarri F2007 Then i will use 5 or so, because my wheel start shaking down the straights.

Yep, I have the same issue since GT4 - steering wheel shaking left and right by itself under high speed on straights in high downforce cars (Group C's or F1 cars), is that really simulating the situation in real life? :dunce:

I've always used 10 to try and maximise the feel. I'd say the time trial version is a step forward but still needs a lot of work. The physics are a big improvement, although not perfect, so now I just need better FFB to feel them.

I just made a slight improvement on my time with a higher force feedback setting. Having the fight the wheel more really helps in my opinion

I turned the ffb up to 7 the other night and got my best time after a couple of runs. Still not doing all that well in my opinion though. I'm still in a constant battle with the steering in the corners, maybe I should inch up towards 10 and see if it helps.

I'm using a new G27, started off the TT with the DS3, as my G25 broke awhile back. Trying to adjust to the DS3 and now moving back to a wheel has screwed me up a bit but more practice will fix that.

Are you lot spending more time in the gym than racing?

I've set my G25 FFB on 3. More than that will just wear me out after 10 laps. Especially in the F1 car.

You are worn out after 10 laps with FFB at 3!? :odd: Maybe you need to get your butt to the gym sissy!

I agree with others in this thread on the FFB. It feels generally a large amount better than Prologue's. I have FFB set to 9 in Prologue but on the demo FFB 9 feels much more stronger. Also gives you experiences that you never really get in Prologue, and the demo seems to give you greater awareness of when you're about to oversteer etc...

I have it set to five which seems just about right. 10 was really tough at first (when I first bought the wheel G27), so I think with my practicing that I have put in, I will try seven.

Should be interesting to see if it really does "improve" especially in the T.T.

I think turning the FFB strength up to 7 definitely makes the experience seem more real, throwing a car around track is quite physically demanding, not massively but it can be surprising how much it tires you out. I'm not sure if a weak or strong setting is fastest but I prefer to have it set as realistic as possible.

10 all the way... have always used it like that.... Even in the F1... FFB 10 ;) gives you a mean workout 👍
