link: http://www.playstation-e3.com/index.html?jumpTo=en_GB

Taste the physical extremes of rally driving and battle your way past your opponents in grueling multi-car wheel-to-wheel racing

Prepare for the unexpected as driver and co-driver negotiate on-track dangers - evade the wreckage of rival cars, navigate through flooded stages, and dodge crumbling walls and tumbling rocks

More cars than ever before from rally’s past, present and future are brought to life in realistically interactive surroundings - drive over 40 awesome vehicles through rivers, raging fires, dense smoke and debris strewn terrain.

Due for September release and i cant wait, check out the video, stricken opponents cars with the driver and co driver fighting at the side of the road! awsome!

UPDATE: New screenshots on sony show privateer cars! the OMV Xsara, a Red bull Fabia, Olsberg Impreza and a ford, theres a Yellow 307, it looks very good.

I've just bought the previous(WRC4)one and it's brilliant. I have also played WRC2 extreme and WRC3 a lot and now the handling of the cars is really convincing. Together with Rallysportchallenge2, this is the best rallygame around. I'm looking forward to the next one already, mainly for the other cars and racing other cars on a rallystage (like in RSC2) can be great fun.

WRC Games are amazing - cant wait for this one - also i think when they are made for PS3 they will be outstanding!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I thought the third one was the best too - i thought that the test course area was better, the handling and the engine sound!

The good thing about the fourth one was the super 1600's was amazing! what did you think about the 1600cc's?

they were pretty cool, the citroen was my fave of them :P

the stages in 3 are so much better, longer, theres more stages, hopefully wrc5 will bring the best of both.

I'm getting this game the moment it comes out! That video looks great and those crashes are alot better(Than WRC 3)

yeah, do you think theres a higher emphasis on crashes perhaps because this time there will be rally ending crashes?

It would be good if there were rally ending crashes because it would add to the fear factor.Imagine it; force feedback sweaty palms 4 wheel drifting your car next to a cliff edge. That's got to be worth the game by itself.

on the E3 website it says september but on gamespot it says november, i hope its september!

GTRacer, that would be awsome, i can just imagine it, doing finland or something, leading the rally, final stage then bang, your out, harsh but realistic:P

i cant beleive what i have just read, i wont beleive it, this game is going to be better than we could ever imagine, get a load of this. its made my day.

# Interactive events that affect game play: Unpredictability is the name of the game as you race across the world's most challenging terrains without knowing what's around the corner...a crash, a flood, a forest fire, tumbling mountain rocks...who knows? The 'events' change every time you play so get prepared to expect the unexpected just like the professionals...

Multi-car wheel-to-wheel action: Up to 8 cars on the same track, at the same time in the on-line Multi-car mode! This features 16 stunning, purpose built circuits that capture the best of every rally country. Go head-to head and smash the other cars off the track to win as you navigate not only the challenging terrains but the fierce competitors...

Smash & Crash- More Realistic Than Ever... On the edge and closer to reality than ever before, the new damage system means collisions are more satisfying as debris is strewn from the car. For the first time in WRC history the rally cars can sustain any inflicted crash and collision damage across the whole stage, with the handling changing to reflect this.

# Real-life co-driver- Hear the Fear! The vastly improved co-driver signals now give players the feeling of a real human being guiding them through the challenging stages of every rally. Believable and convincing, the co-driver now reacts dynamically to the action, giving detailed, impassioned help and guidance through pace notes drawn up by a real rally champion. The co-driver is sensitive to the racing conditions: his voice changes according to the road surface and breakneck speed, conveying real emotions in both victory and defeat. :nervous:

# Stunning new audio-visual effects: The developers at Evolution Studios have worked their magic yet again - pushing PlayStation 2 even further to produce breathtaking graphics, sensational real-rally sounds and awesome new effects - the incredible deformable environments means you can crash into a wall and watch it collapse! This winning combination delivers players a sensation of increased speed that will leave them literally shaking on their sofas!

# A completely new particle system: has also been added to WRC: Rally Evolution(wt) that generates dense smoke, fire and deep water - all of which affects visibility and the handling of the rally car - putting players out there on the edge.

# Increased accessibility: Even more people can feel like a true World Rally pro through a range of new features. A progressive championship mode starts with easier stages first. Optional driver aids mean the car can be tuned depending on players' ability and redesigned tracks let beginners power slide around corners with ease so the thrill of rallying can be captured and enjoyed whatever your level.

i need it now!! now i say! now!!

In the video there was a co driver and driver having a fight.I wonder if they'll put a few beat em up elements into the game?Wonder what would happen if you hit the drivers? And what if you roll your car and you have to tip it back over by mashing X or something?

and the events change every time you play! so you wont be able to predict when it will happen every time!! *faints*

i hope its the same with weather, in WRC4 its fixed weather so maybe we will see some dynamic weather, like you say, they need this to ge it right as floods dont happen in sunshine.

i also hope that they bring back the classic TV style cockpit view where the camera is like between the driver and co driver, you see it in the rpelays on wRC4 and 3 but couldnt drive with it.

I'll take your word for it, since WRC 3 and 4 never made it to the States, but WRC 2 was spectacularly unimpressive - and I really wanted to like it.

i liked the (far away) helicopter replay view in the third one but in WRC4 it was crap replay views! and yes i hope their is weather change!

In WRC4 did you ever do the testing level where you could go down hill fast as anything with sweeping bends? i thot that was a good one! maybe a better one for WRC5!

Do u ever feel that it would be better if you could tweek the car a little like Gran Turismo?

i think they are considering it for american release, because of how well colin mcrae series sells there apparently so who knows.

i think it would be awsome to be able to tweak the cars more, full setup options like in richard burns rally.

i didnt like WRC1 & 2 too much - as they were quite crappy 2 but i knew the games had alot of potential so again i bought the 3rd one and wow - what a difference it was so much better - it just felt as if the cracks and empty spaces were filled in! and i really love the 4th one too!

3 and 4 easily the best, 5 is just going to be the rally game we have all dreamed of having. everything that happens in real rallying will happen.

Well, I sure hope they do release it in the US. In WRC 2 there was very little sense of speed, and I kept hitting the rev limiter all the time because I usually drive by sound and sight rather than looking at the instruments. With no sense of how fast the car was going I could never tell good shift points.

yeah i know what you mean, wrc2 was poor in terms of that....i did like the tv cockpit view though :P
