I disagree. In my testing at Daytona the Cobra was running 2 seconds a lap faster than anything else. It was faster in the infield and faster down the straights than everything. Corvette was good in the infield, but lost a lot on the straights.
2 seconds? Even though I did far more running in the Cobra than the Corvette, my personal bests in both cars at Daytona were 8.4* and 9.5 respectively. I picked it because it was the best car, but not by so much that it was an easy decision. I would go as far to say I would switch out of the Cobra if I could.

*though I did laps that were on pace for low 8s or even high 7s, so the potential for more was there.

Well. In the Mustang I spent a good 15 laps going round consistently in the 10s with a best of 2:09.8. Corvette I spent maybe 4-5 laps in it and could only get down to a 2:10.3 (although there was potential for a lot more as I really didn't like the car too much). In the Cobra I ran a 2:09 first lap, 2nd lap 2:08.9, 4rd lap 2:08.3 then Dax came back and changed the room settings. However on the 3rd lap my split time was .6 up (on the 8.3) by the 3rd sector so it is easily possible of 2:07s, more time with it could easily get it into low 2:07s (however spending more time in the other cars would gain time too).

Take into account the consistency and the fairly easy drive it provides and its a far better car than anything else in the field (especially when it doesn't even have the same tyre wear and fuel problems as the Mustang. :indiff:

Maybe its only 1 second faster. But over the course of a race that's a hell of a difference.

I'll have to try these on Thursday or sooner now that I have this weeks Toca test out the way :P. (On Daytona ofc on previous specs first though ;))

Obviously all the cars can go around 1 second faster than the times I've posted (Corvette probably more). But to me, the Cobra was too fast.

If the Cobra was all over the place but could set blistering laps every now and then, then it would be maybe ok. But it's really not. :ill:

At the end of the day, we want everyone within a fair chance of winning. The Camaro also got pegged back slightly as well.

I know i'm late to the post race discussions and I'm not trying to cause a ruckus. haha I know yeratel and I had a moment or two where there was contact made and I want to apologize but, I was holding my line and in my eyes it wasn't an opportune moment to make a pass where you were attempting. That little left hander to begin sector two I believe is a turn that you have to apex it and hit the rumble strips and the one lap I was on my turn in and you were just there. Carrying 20 more mph and it resulted in both of us going off. Also, I use 3rd person view so I dont have a rear view. haha So PT drivers be aware of me. I try my best to stay true to my line but, I can't use look back and expect to adjust effectively.

On another note is there any setings to make sound fx of other cars lower. I could never hear the revs of my car when im near anyone on track. It really kills my ability to be consistent. Thanks

Pegged back?! I was slow as molasses in January and were getting detuned! haha Is there anything special I should be doing to the tranny? I had no top end at daytona.

I'm thinking I will be able to race this sunday if there is room, probably in GT although I might go in the Ferrari 👍

The left hand kink, slc? My method of passing there most of the time was to wait until the GT cars had taken the turn and pulled left to take their line, and I'd pass on the right. I don't think I passed anyone on the inside there unless I had enough space before the corner to get in front for it.

Patience, PT drivers ;)

Yeah not sure if thats turn 3 or not but, I was wide getting ready to turn in and yeratel snuck up inside and we made contact. I didn't sustain any damage which I'm guessing yeratel did but, I was just sticking to my line without hesistation. Like GT cars I thought were suppose to do. Not having a rear view mirror in my case does hinder my ability to know where the PT's are.

That's what I did. ;)

Generally all the races as meant to be 80 to 100 mins, Le Man's the exception.

It's deffinatly run in as its done 217,548.9 miles :P
