Also remember PT drivers, brakes necessary at times. I had to jump right out the gas to around 160 at the line to navigate a couple GT's last night.

Sorry about that. :dopey:

I find that a bit naive to think that mics are the solution.. I don't put my mic on in races. (Bar mucking about with friends)

There are two reasons I think mics won't change anything..

1. People who don't have mics hear the sound of mics out of the TV mashed with in game noises... Which makes it near impossible to understand..

2. If you have all the PTs on mics and all talking at near enough the same time how on earth is anyone meant to make sence of it!

The solution is just to be aware. Map down scaling can help or hinder, I use 4 or 5, I think, and barely have issues with close racing. I also like the scaled out map for mutli-class racing since I can tell if it's a higher class car catching me and can prepare to hold a line or give way etc.

Equally the PT's have to understand if you catch a GT mid bus stop or some other impossible to pass area to respect the car infront and not, most likely, yell at them to get out the way..

Never once in other enduros I have been in have the hosts or anyone taking part has felt the need for mics. (WRS enduros etc) Yet they went without hitch and were great fun.

I always mute my mix when I'm not talking, which is most of the time. Just saying, not much extra noise. I see your point though, I use full map as I can't stand how distracting a constantly zoomed in map is.

I cant quite decide if I'm looking forward to Laguna Seca or not, One one side I love the track and the racing should be pretty close. On the other hand getting lapped/lapping is going to be a nightmare.

Did a mid 1:42 lap in a GT car when working out how fast PT will lap GT. PT cars will lap GT cars every 4 1/2 to 5 laps.

EDIT: The GT car I used was the Z28 Camaro '69. Not worn in, and has a wing set to minimum aero on it.

So they all working? It says broken images for the final two so I can't resize. Imageshack links get broke as well :grumpy:

All fine here too Furi 👍 It's also the first time I've seen the Daytona poster/image, as the one in the OP of this thread has always been broken for me. Every other image is fine,

Looking like a bit of a leveller, let’s hope so.👍

Shelby no change as it was bloody quick, but only GT that needed to Pit for tyres and has alcoholic levels of fuel usage.

You forget to mention that I had passed and dropped RPH before his crash, your race report makes it seem like he was winning and spun.

Also, I didn't make a mistake, RPH got past me without me making a mistake.

I no likey. :P

I thought the Corvette was already a slightly better car than the Camaro and not far off the pace of the Cobra with far better traction (will help on twistier courses and in the wet). I think you may have swung the pendulum well in favour of the Corvette.

I disagree. In my testing at Daytona the Cobra was running 2 seconds a lap faster than anything else. It was faster in the infield and faster down the straights than everything. Corvette was good in the infield, but lost a lot on the straights.

Totally agree with that 👍
