Cobra too fast or not? :P
If it's deemed too fast, do I get to switch cars? :P

It's the fastest car IMO, but the tire wear has more effect on it than the Chevrolets and it's harder to drive, throttle control is much more of an issue.
Same for GT drivers with PT cars? Traffic fairly dense in opening 10 laps.
It's a big track so things went fine from my eyes. Only concern is that some of the Proto drivers cut it a little close when drafting and passing at the last moment, but thankfully nothing happened.

I had a close call with SLC and Lout, and no you don't switch :P

However, tweaks for Corvette, and Jaguar, coming next week.

Had a couple PM's. Results are going to be a little different when finally published tomorrow :irked:

I apologise for being a complete tosser during the warm-up lap and wercking myself and could have wrecked others.

It won't happen again.

Oh yeah, sorry if i may have come close to taking a few people out going into turn one on the warmup lap. My TV decided to change channel.

A few of the PT drivers cutting a bit close to the GT drivers this evening

Respect our race and try getting around us a bit better next week

I'll say now as I have no time to look at replays tonight.

Fox has asked for his pole to be taken away, the point is now given to Sagaris. Some Prototype deemed it funny to push Fox around Daytona for his lap. I think i know who it was but unfortunately cannot act as I am not 100% sure.

But don;t do it again, because it's stupid and unsporting.

Surpsised I came 2nd since I had 2 bad incidents and had to pit for each, losing a minute for each one.

Braked too late for the bus stop on the first lap on cold tyres, and then at half distance I left the pitlane and put a wheel on the grass, sending me into the end of the pit wall.

I crossed the line just as the timer ran out, so I was 2 minutes 21 behind Dax at the finish.

Ok 👍

On a positive note, a big 👍 to all who finished, some great racing and tonight felt really relaxed and fun. Not had as much fun in a long time.

Roll on Laguna Seca

Laguna will be interesting when it comes to lapping the GT cars. If you come up behind one just before the corkscrew, you'll probably be stuck behind it until the second-to-last corner.

Agreed. Expect some tailbacks. And next week will be a 16 car grid, probably 7/9 split I think.

@yera: you can't complain at me, you caught me at the wrong points and when I crashed into you, I had received a tap from a PT car and lost the back end, I'm sorry but I couldn't do anything!

@orama: Yes I can, first time you messed one of my laps were when you went wide on bus stop, and rejoinded the track without bothering to check for incoming traffic. I nearly stopped my car in order to avoid hitting you...

Quick summary of this experience...

Had a few moments in qualifying due to some some people forgetting that even though PT cars have to manouver around GT cars, it doesn't mean they don't have to check the mirrors in order to know which line to hold when being overtaken. As I mentioned above orama failed at one point to safely return to the track after an off and nearly caused a crash, and SLC failed to check his mirrors/ map when I was overtaking him before the corner that begins sector 2.
Beggining of the race, my early spin and damage as my own fault, as I had forgotten to switch ABS back on, after warming my front tyres in pace lap. Then second time I had to pit was after SLC again hit my right rear wheel in the same corner he did during qualifying even though this time I flashed my lights to warn him...

Like I said in the room, I have raced before in both full damage and multiclass series, in both fastest and slowest classes and I know how to behave around others when overtaking/ being overtaken, and expected the same from those racing here... I hope Laguna Seca provides me with a better experience...

Don't go comparing things to PURE races people get mad and call you "elitist".. :P

But yeah CALM was some of the best multi class racing :D. (One moment you'd rather forget is when you spun at Blanchimont almost all the way to bus stop on lap 1 :scared:. I arrived on scene to find a big mess.. Pictures here but due to photobuckets new layout you have to scroll down till you hit LMS Audis etc)

But to be fair there is a bigger speed differential between the classes here due to lack of DF, power, tyre grip etc. I mean a 25-30 second or so lap time difference means you could start a lap in the clear but have 2/3 PTs lap you out of no where :nervous:. So both parties have to be absolutely aware of one and other or else it will get ugly...

Lagunas going to be like lapped every 3 laps or less, scary thought.

If anyone hasn't already, consider using a more zoomed in map. That way you know exactly where someone is even if you can't see them. 👍

It's one of the things that improved my side by side racing the most, using cockpit view means you don't have the same all-round visibility and this allowed me to not worry about accidentally turning in on someone. I use zoom level 3 to also give a decent picture of the road ahead. :)

Also prototypes on Mics as well can help. Yeratel having no Mic didn't help him.

Really? Oh, i'm sorry. I hadnt remembered it that way but if you say so then im sorry for that :(

However, I dont think I wasnt bothered to check behind me. The Jag is a tricky car to control in normal conditions, so when youve got a wheel on the grass and concentrating on full oposite lock, its nearly impossible to hit the look back button without spinning out and possibly ruining some elses car, let alone 1 lap!

Im sorry anyway, I think it was a case of wrong place wrong time for you there yera.

Also remember PT drivers, brakes necessary at times. I had to jump right out the gas to around 160 at the line to navigate a couple GT's last night.

@Laguna there will be a lot of careful navigation needed from PT drivers, the Mazda bridge to corkscrew exit might be a traffic jam.
