Ok, I just get confused by one being referred to as the Chevrolet because they're both Chevrolets

I refer to them as "Corvette" as Corvette's have been run by Pratt & Miller under the "Corvette Racing" banner at Le Mans since 1999. Corvette also has there own unique logo as well ;)

I've got some good speed out of the rust bucket and i'm getting used to how it handles, wanting to get the back end out at every opportunity which will affect strategy as that may lead to me losing a bit of time towards the end of stints. Fuel economy wise it's excellent as over 12 laps it was only using 1L per lap around Eiger.

Might give the car a rust coloured paint job for a laugh.

1 Ltr per lap. Jesus Christ, lets hope the tyre ware is poor. :grumpy:

I warn you Furi this is gonna blow up in yer face again.

It was around Eiger why what does the corvette drink per lap, I did a 15.7 earlier and was behind both lout and sakary

Also with medium tyres, it gets evened out as everyone has to pit. Now how did Snow and Sak do 1:14's in GT? :scared:

I'm definitely taking the AC, if I were to take the Lancia I'd probably spend 1/3 of the race in the pits. :grumpy:

2 Alpines, 2 E-Types and a Stratos left. But only 3 GT drivers left to choose. It would be good if we had at least one of each car :)

They can't do it consistently though :P - the Mustangs were around high 16's.

Actually, I was doing 13.5. :sly:

The twisty circuits are where the Vette shines though. Most of the tracks are top-speed though...not so much Vette-territory.

4 seconds a lap quicker than me. Oh well, I love Eiger anyway!

Oh, and I definitely will be missing Laguna Seca, and I don't know for sure, if I will be able to make Eiger. So, best tracks for Vette I possibly can't make. :ouch:

This will be the last time I'm going to say this as I've been saying this for the previous 2 seasons:

The Vette needs more power or less weight, its that simple.

The mustang doesn't feel overly great around eiger but it's so much fun. I'll just have to try and make it as wide as possible and hope I get lucky.

but it's so much fun

The reason I chose the Mustang. I'm not aiming to win any championships this season. Not sure if i'll make round one, I'm on Holiday next week and won't get back till late Sunday. Will pop in and say hi if your still racing when I get back. Should be at Laguna though.

Entry updated.

Just pointing out that Jamsy might be switching from the AC, so 1 of them might come back up.

Sundays "Roar Before The Rolex" is a 2hr session run to full race regs (full damage, lobby restrictions in place). I'll happily adjust car performance levels based on the test results, indeed I will be doing this for each round of the series.

Once you get used to getting the power down properly it's great. Although stepping the back out around a few corners does make things pretty interesting!

Yeah, I just cut 1.4 seconds off my lap at Eiger just now. 16 dead for me :D

With the Ford Mk IV having 4 gears is both a blessing and a handicap. On the good side it means it is very easy to control on the power at low RPM, but the lack of power and longer gears as a result mean it suffers coming off the turn.
