No offence to all those "guest appearing" in the series or class, but you should not be able to score points as this will upset the tables, especially in GT class where it's close at the top.

The way I'm looking at it, it might help you, or it might not. In the end you have to drive a good race anyway.

It's also kind of hard to classify someone as a guest starter. You would have to take out everyone of all classifications that hasn't taken part in more than 2(?) races. But you can only identify them after the last race. Doesn't really work that way.

I'm thinking, the more the merrier.

It looks like 5th in the GT standings will be the best I can manage.

Same here, but considering Spa has so many turns, I probably won't catch up to you even if you score nothing. :dopey:

Exhausting race. Sagaris, was nothing I could do, car was backing up already in reverse. Akmuq and Carb, nice wins.
Your car was moving forward into the middle of the track. I admit I looked away for a bit before the accident, but you weren't reversing and I was near the middle of the track.

Nevertheless, I apologize for making my sarcastic comment at the end of the race, that was not needed. I was frustrated.

The start wasn't good for me and I got swamped in the first corner, was compromised on exit and lost the leading draft pack immediately. I was in the second draft pack with a few other cars, but I made a mistake by misplacing my car on the outside of the pack in the last corner and hit the wall. Wasn't so bad and even with a stop to fix the left front I was able to get into 2nd eventually and had the ability to go to the end on fuel/tires. It was a decent place all things considered. Unfortunately, after dark I was involved in two incidents with Randy and DK and dropped to 3rd and had to nurse damage (would have dropped more, but adam pitted). Then the incident with Furi dropped me to a probable 6th, and then I had 5 drive through penalties to compound my misery and slip me behind Chris, with a collision with Randy (moving slowly but then drifted to the side on a straight as I arrived on the scene) near the end to top things off.

I'm going to be honest, that's not how I want to spend a Sunday afternoon. After Spa, I'll withdraw from this series until Gt6. I know I've had bad luck this season, but also I acknowledge that I haven't been driving all that well either (other than a couple of very good quali laps at Laguna and La Sarthe). I also have grown tired of the problems of this series, mainly the obscene difference in pace between GTs and PTs on fast sections/tracks. I challenge Furi to make this series better for GT6, not that much is needed (it's a good series as it is) but there are holes that can be plugged.
I've done a 2:45.0 in the Corvette, with a perfect lap being a 2:44.8
I also did a low 3:01 at 100% surface water on wet tyres with the Corvette.
I think my best laps last year were 45s in the Corvette, so that is a bit quicker already. Very fast! 👍

I haven't tried the Alpine around there yet, but I expect it to be around the same as the Corvette in the dry, but probably slower in the wet. I'm not sure, really, I haven't yet driven the alpine in the wet at all.

Yup, that sounds about right. Did 4 laps and ended up with a 2:45.4. No running in the wet yet, though. There's plenty of time of that to come on the weekend, I gather. :yuck:

The crossover from dry to wet tyres is a bit odd. Wet tyres are faster from about 25% surface water, but that's too dry for them and they overheat and wear too quickly. I think I've found the point where there's enough water for wets though.

The good thing is, it rarely stays at 25% for long, so the tyres won't get too much damage, if water increases steadily and you change early. Don't think it matters too much, if you change 1 lap later though in a 2.5 hour race.

When I tested the rain was falling at its slowest, which is roughly 1% every 4 minutes. The fastest that it rains is roughly 4% every minute.

By the way, WSC VI thread is near completion. From what I understand, current FULL TIME entries listed are:

PT:
Furi / Ford
Panoz / Ford
MJ / Ferrari
Joe / Ferrari

Snowcrash / Jaguar

GT:
Lout / Alpine
Yeratel / Alpine
Fox / Corvette
DK / ???

ChrisJohnson / ???
Ranhammer / Chevy
Carbonox / ???
DukeAdam / Chevy

That's 13 already. Also anyone want a VI teaser? ;)

I can confirm that my current WSC Corvette will be retired at the end of this season and the blue Corvette with the chrome wheels pictured above will be taking its place for season 6

Would like to give the Vette a try next season, but obviously I need to test it somewhere first. :dopey:

I'm giving my spot in PT to Chris as I'm kind of busy in the next three months or so.

I'd love to take part in any race of the next season if I had the chance, but I can't be a full time driver.

@ MJ, no worries 👍

@ Oalith, WEC if I recall? Well, if we can fit you in Spa, then sure. But remember we have 1 more GT5 season ahead ;)

@ Furi - Semi Retired Host  Lets see how long you can do that for Alex.

I am till January :P

WSC6 OP by the way is almost complete, been formatting on Word. Only requirements now are a brief update of track info and a pic from Spa. Monday the new season is go :D
