Exhausting race. Sagaris, was nothing I could do, car was backing up already in reverse. Akmuq and Carb, nice wins.
Your car was moving forward into the middle of the track. I admit I looked away for a bit before the accident, but you weren't reversing and I was near the middle of the track.
Nevertheless, I apologize for making my sarcastic comment at the end of the race, that was not needed. I was frustrated.
The start wasn't good for me and I got swamped in the first corner, was compromised on exit and lost the leading draft pack immediately. I was in the second draft pack with a few other cars, but I made a mistake by misplacing my car on the outside of the pack in the last corner and hit the wall. Wasn't so bad and even with a stop to fix the left front I was able to get into 2nd eventually and had the ability to go to the end on fuel/tires. It was a decent place all things considered. Unfortunately, after dark I was involved in two incidents with Randy and DK and dropped to 3rd and had to nurse damage (would have dropped more, but adam pitted). Then the incident with Furi dropped me to a probable 6th, and then I had 5 drive through penalties to compound my misery and slip me behind Chris, with a collision with Randy (moving slowly but then drifted to the side on a straight as I arrived on the scene) near the end to top things off.
I'm going to be honest, that's not how I want to spend a Sunday afternoon. After Spa, I'll withdraw from this series until Gt6. I know I've had bad luck this season, but also I acknowledge that I haven't been driving all that well either (other than a couple of very good quali laps at Laguna and La Sarthe). I also have grown tired of the problems of this series, mainly the obscene difference in pace between GTs and PTs on fast sections/tracks. I challenge Furi to make this series better for GT6, not that much is needed (it's a good series as it is) but there are holes that can be plugged.
I've done a 2:45.0 in the Corvette, with a perfect lap being a 2:44.8
I also did a low 3:01 at 100% surface water on wet tyres with the Corvette.
I think my best laps last year were 45s in the Corvette, so that is a bit quicker already. Very fast! 👍
I haven't tried the Alpine around there yet, but I expect it to be around the same as the Corvette in the dry, but probably slower in the wet. I'm not sure, really, I haven't yet driven the alpine in the wet at all.
