This is why I was mad at @Furinkazen for docking the Shelby 10 BHP because come what may Joe and myself and Jammy will all be stopping more than other PT cars and now they can keep up with us on pace so we have already lost!

This championship is hard to BoP for. I'm thinking in future weight ballast would be a better option - what do you guys think?

Ran some laps at the new spec. A perfect lap is a 3:51.0 I did a few laps of mid 51s, one even after 8 laps on the tyres. The power reduction only costs about 0.5mph. After a 12 lap run I had 4-5 litres left.

Same goes here. Little drop of top speed (2-3 km/h). My laptimes drop also little. Best is high 51. After 12 laps also 4 litre left.
My race pace will be lot lower.
I use different setup for quali/freeruns than race.

Honestly,
The reason it's hard to set a BoP for is because the GTP class has a mix of GTs and Prototypes. Which means that the GT cars have to be made significantly faster than the protos on the straights because they have less downforce or just aren't as good in the corners.

I say stick to 2 distinct classes rather than melding 2 together until such a time as we get 24 player races +, when you can run 3.

So protos are the MKIV, P4 and XJ13 and GTs are Cobra Daytona, MK1 GT40, 250GTO etc.

Ballast yes BUT on a placement scenario as in BTCC. eg:

1st 50kg
2nd 40kg
3rd 30kg
4th 20kg
5th 10kg

And YOU TWO. The Flying Finn and JoeOfAnotherDimension. How in the name of all that's good and decent are you getting 3:51? Hmm Hmm?

10bhp barely takes away top speed, only like 4mph or so.

Correct but acceleration is slower and as a result its more difficult to break away.

I don't know how's Joe done it but to me it's mean a lot of pratice (hours after hours), finding setup that suit my driving style with the car, finding confident to drive the limit of the car and limit of my ability to drive the car in this game.

START PROCEDURE - please read @DrifterJoe @gtpanoz @jammy21 @FlyingFox @Pluxtheduck @LancerEvo7 @snowgt @R0ssingt0n @Yeratel84 @CAMikaze @rustyMercedes @DK @chrisjohnson93 @ranhammerR34 :

Le Mans has a unique standing start. When on the grid after the 3-2-1 countdown please all hold handbrakes and 1 by 1 move into position from last place upwards. Last place car will be positioned just in front of the yellow/blue tyre wall on pit lane, it is just off the exit of the Ford Chicane. Then the next car will form up, leave around 1 car widths to the next car in sequence.

After everyone is in place, hold your handbrakes (no creeping!) and wait for me to type the time we start at. Then we are green! ~Cue GT5 nostalgia pics~

Don't be surprised if the start of the race will remind you of this... ;)
