I'll be there in a bit. This is going to be brutal. :dopey:

Edit

And speaking of brutal, very unusual and constant disconnections. This just about never happens. Quite a shame.

I'm sorry guys, but I had to bail out of the race after not only getting heavy damage on about lap 19, but also being involved in the crash after collecting a few other drivers while trying to make it back to the pits. :(

I expected this race to be a clusterfeck. I was surprised to see the GTOs so close to the GTPs, the GTP drivers had to really work hard to lap us in GTOs.

I was amazed that I escaped undamaged from the 6-car pileup, unfortunately that luck didn't carry over to the rest of the race. Infuriatingly, I got wrecked just after the pit entry after a dumb overtake by Ryan. Furi caught me completely unawares at the exit of T1, as he was parked sideways on the apex. I'm amazed I got 4th, but I feel that it could have been 3rd or even 2nd without those two collisions.

Had suspension damage from contact with Randy a lap earlier DK, brakes locked and I went straight on, and just pulled handbrake and crossed fingers.

Right. Statistically my worst event. But god I loved it. Got a 1:02.3 late on

I'm looking forward to next season when I can race. Missing this :(
There's Brands Hatch next week and the Finale at Spa in a fortnight. So I say there's time for you to test the waters. :)

If you check my sig then I have raced, won and been crowned champ in this before. I'm missing this season due to revision for exams, but next season should be after exams 👍

Big apologizes to @Furinkazen, @Ninners, @gtpanoz and especially poor @chrisjohnson93. The car was a handful around the track today and had a ton of pits. The incident with Furi, was mostly my stupid fault, the one with Panoz, I crashed and I think he was trying to pass (DK?) and he nowhere to go... The incident with Ninners was my fault as well, he crashed while avoiding me.. And then the incident with Chris Johnson, was just plain stupid as hell of me, lost control after damage, and collected him when he a chance to get @DK. I'm sorry guys, gutted after the high of a great LeMans for me, and this just SUCKS! :( On word to Brands (hopefully).

Had a pretty much clean run, the aim was to avoid the barriers so wasn't really pushing that hard but managed to increase the gap to Joe gradually and then he had a moment somewhere so he came out just ahead of me but 1 lap behind. There was a massive pile up at T1 which I survived, followed Fox through and came so close to clipping someone(either Chris or DK) and avoided Fox spinning off to after so was a lap ahead and my rival was about to pit again and I hadn't done a stop yet so looking good. :)

Later that lap I had a moment off that corner that goes blind before the pits so lost it to the inside and just avoided the wall but the grass fired me back across causing to just brush the wall with no damage but did lose 5 seconds. I wanted to pit when the fuel got low/ tyres went off so went as long as I could.

However on lap 41 I was approaching Randy after the blind corner and he was on the left but changed direction because of the damage so went to the very right against the wall. I obviously braked late trying to clear him but that meant I had a collision course with the barriers, luckily right by the pits so lost only like 3 seconds before pitting for repairs and fresh set of tyres and a few gallons. The rest of the race was uneventful so that's it.

My apologies to @chrisjohnson93 and @jammy21 for incidents I caused

First to Chris and I think that it was a case of each other not knowing where the other was going and thus as I tried to pass you on the left I guess you thought I was going to the right and a crash was the result

As for Jammy. After my involvement in the 6 car pile up I waited for everyone to clear off, quickly glanced at the map and reversed. Hidden by the clock in the corner was the arrow representing Jammy and I clipped him causing him damage.

Sorry Guys.

Was pretty happy with the lap I had done in qualifying, but it seemed that Yeratel was faster today. He did me a favour though with running wide in turn 1 of lap 1 and that was basically the last fight for position I had in the race. Managed to avoid Cami's Shelby twice when he was parking on the inside of T1, but then on lap 26 I was trying to lap Ryan coming out of T1, he swerved a little to the left which I had to also do in order to overtake him, only that Cami was parked across the road there. Well, at least I had my one planned pitstop done.

I then quickly found my rhythm again and stayed out of trouble until lap 60 or so when I thought the tyres were losing a bit of their performance and half a lap later I promptly made my only big mistake when I lost it in the left kink approaching the downhill braking zone. The pits were just a couple of metres away though, so I didn't lose a lot of time.
Finished the last couple of laps after that without any incidents and passed the line 2 laps ahead of Yeratel in second.

Overall, I'm very happy with today, as my chances for the title have been greatly improved, since Yeratel is already out of the title hunt mathematically. Lout, despite his absence today, is still very much in it though.

Yeah... that corner is one of the only sections of the track where you can overtake. Sorry.

*facepalm* You had about 70 more laps to overtake me. I'd be more forgiving if someone rammed you into me, but that's not the case.

Anyway, you'd have to be a psychopath to recreate this track in real life. There's no way the safety-conscious Swiss would let a racing track be built with 0.5m high barriers separating you from plunging hundreds of feet.

That incident came so quickly that I didn't have any time to do anything. I didn't saw you and when I saw you it was too late and crashed to you. I'm sorry too that shouldn't have happen.

Edit: Actually race was much better than I expected not that many crashes - only this one came
to my way. I loved this race - nice view, dry, sunny day.

How do you make a Swiss Roll? Make Alain Menu play GT6 and race at Matterhorn... moving on.... Matterhorn stays next season...

Well, the Swiss have banned side by side racing since the 1950s. So both Eiger and Matterhorn safety standards is of 1950s quality. :P

Road racing will always be a part of WSC. I regard Concrete and brick and improvement over Eiger's reinforced ticker tape in all honesty...

Now PD. Hurry Up. Course creator. NOW.

@DrifterJoe you are champion, congrats.

Major overhauls for next season. Going to tear up the book a little. Part of it is WSC's extension into a longer running series.

Oops, sorry about that.:dunce:

As someone would say on the Match Game...

"Oh 'blank'..."

People make mistakes... I said I was sorry. this also goes for Chris as well.

Just one more remark … it would be great, if people could actually stay behind and leave a little space to the car they're following on the pace lap. What's the point in running alongside or even overtaking …? Just to remind you, the car ahead of you has every right to swerve right and left at will, so you've got no place in being that close until you form up in double file for the actual start.

It's just something that bugs me about circuits in GT. For example, the right-left kink on Tokyo R246 can be taken at over 300km/h by a Formula GT car, and on the left hand side there's just a few armco barriers.
