tried some laps online, room normal quality, best with full tank 2:01.774 but my tyres are gone after 8 laps...... dunno what to do :nervous: :scared:

If it makes you feel any better it's pretty much the same for me :P Haven't done any proper long runs yet though. If I do some more practice tonight I'll post a room number up here.

Hey Turbo! I'd like to sign up for this. I won't be able to make it this coming Monday but I can make the rest of the season. I know I'm late to this but I enjoy racing with you and I love the Vette!

Hi Sephy. Welcome to the series. I will add you to the sign-up list.

Can you choose a car number and color please.

Hmmm ok

Change it to

Color: Yellow
Number: 74

How are people doing at Suzuka? I'm practicing offline at the mo and I'm tantalisingly close to breaking the 2 minute mark, .054 seconds off! Online it'll probably be a whole other kettle of fish though, gonna try it shortly. :)

I'm getting a best of 2:01.5** online so far but never got in a really good lap with no errors. Haven't had a chance to change any settings yet. This track eats tires, especially the hard ones. :nervous: I can see someone breaking the 2 min mark, but not for many laps. :scared:

Sounds interesting.

Ok, could it be possible for you guys to wait around an extra 5 minutes or so tommorow? It's the finale in the HBO series 'Game of Thrones' I've been watching, and well thats why I missed last weeks race as I thought i'd have 15 minutes afte it finished, how wrong I was. Anyway, if you could do so, that'd be brilliant.

It nobody has a problem with that, we can do that. But no more than 5 minutes.

You can choose the color you want. As for a number, look in the first post at the sign-up list and take one that has not yet been taken by another one.

In the beginning, we all were beginners. So, don't worry, if you have problems to follow the fast guys by now. Don't give up, the difference between fast and less fast guys often is a question of practice and experience.

Read our last news bulletin.

Cheers mate, I've got an imperial blue and White corvette. Id like number 15 or 11, can't see if they have been currently taken?

Do I need a headset?

Just doing laps, I can't get the setup right :'(

Headset is not necessary.
Don't forget to empty your cache in GT5 before entering the lounge.

For a setup, look here

I'll give you #15

I'm hoping to be there. I've been having internet problems for last 2 days due to bad storms in my area. It's working fine right now, but has been down all morning, got my fingers crossed. 👍

Still taking sign ups? I'd love to join in tonight and get a taste for the series as I continue my crusade to get involved in GT5 again. 10PM UK start as well, but open at 9:15 yes? If I can still sign up I'll post again with my colour and number 👍.

We are 16, but at least one or two drives will not be there. So you can sign-up. Send me a FR.

I'll send you a club invitation.
@everybody: Given that we will be close to a full lounge, I will put voice chat off in order to avoid lag problems

Alright, if there is someone previously registered who can't get in due to my participation, simply ask me to leave and I will do so 👍.

#46 Competizione Red w/ Black wheels

Everybody leave immediately lounge and wait until I am in.

There is probably someone with a bad connection in what prevents me from coming in.

Always let host come in first

Please take me off the list for the series. I hope'd it would be better but those at the back got in the way and I ended up being well behind due to having to lock up and brake off track. Also the corvette feels heavy and cumbersome.

Good luck guys

Well I for one had an excellent race, a duff first stint filled with mistakes mostly of my own left me 30 seconds down after starting last! No idea how I clawed back to 2nd by only 9 seconds over the course of my 2nd stint on a 1 stop strategy. Though I had a good few laps sub 2:01 with a PB at a 2:00 flat my 2nd stint was near flawless. The different strategies played out interestingly, very enjoyable I've not been in a race where multiple strategies even remotely worked . Good racing all, no real incidents I had to worry about as well 👍.

Now if you could just hand Josh a 10 second penalty for no reason that'd be grand  seriously though good race.

Well you could pot lucky, my first race I came first by around 18 seconds or so, got a 30 second penalty for over taking too early :sly:

@RayRoocroft: you decide of course, but perhaps next time it will go better. Other possibility: sign-up for a series with less HP (for example the wednesday series)

I think I was lucky enough as it is tonight  I geniunely don't know how I ended up 2nd, I knew I had good pace when I kept it on the black stuff but I don't know where the other time was picked up so I'll take the 2nd with no complaints!. Next time it won't be my first time in the car to so hopefully I can put together an all the more consistent performance 👍. Good win Josh, well driven.

Inclined to agree with this, if 1150kg feels cumbersome on Racing Hards there's something strange going on. You (squeek) were aparently going through a set of tyres in 6 laps by your own word, so I think you were just overdriving it as I with no previous experience pulled 14/15 out of mine with some rubber left on it. Ultimately I suspect you shredded yours early and then things go downhill from there, I think you just came unprepared (as I did ) and then tried to hard whereas I ran relatively steady and was braking nice and early to make sure I just got a good line and exit, saved my tyres and ultimately resulted in good lap times.

I understand in terms of looking after tires, my real gripe is with the braking zones, after checking the reply I nearly hit the back of several people because they broke well before the braking zone which sent me off the track and ultimately ended my race, but had a good tussle or two with people that I enjoyed.

Maybe I'll give the next round a shot, I'll wait and see

Suzuka does eat your tires, alot. Just give the next round a go, and be a little more comforting on the trottle  but no, in all seriousness, there's no rush to be in pole position within the first few laps. It's an hour long race, plenty of time!
