I might be wrong, but did I see your name in one of the early WSGTC 1 threads? And if so, what made you to leave? To many pre-season races? Poor rules? Just asking, as I'd love to get some feedback from you.

As to my strange troubles earlier, turns out there was another "mistake" I made. I feel like I am in a twilight zone today. I went to the tuning garage before joining the lobby earlier, and bought some extra tires (in case we weren't using hards), and added the stage 3 engine upgrade.

I just went and had a look at the car again. No extra tires and no stage 3. On top of all of that, all my cars are starting out in 4th gear. At the beginning of races and coming out of the pits. Arcade mode, online lobby, doesn't matter. What is going on?

Edit - A few hours later.. My wife went to bed about an hour ago. I couldn't go to bed without coming to the track on more time with all my issues taken care of. 1'58.2, with a lot more time left in it. I feel good enough to go to sleep on that. Hopefully I will wake up tomorrow a little more intelligent than I left today.

Got a question regarding the new tables.

I got a pretty nice idea how I want the tables to look. I can create them in Exel or Google docs spreadsheet. But how can I insert the flags like Wardez have done on the tables we are using right now? And how do I transform that spreadsheet to a picture that I can put op in the OP?
 
Well I kind of inserted the flags the hard way Denilson. I designed it from the beginning for it to be easy for anyone to edit and that's what it still is. But if you're thinking of going this route of having an easily entry plain spreadsheet to keep track of scores (ala' Moieman) and then inserting the results into a shiny nice looking table then I can accommodate you.

I'm still working on a WSGTC logo as well so let's see how it goes.

But taking the table from spreadsheet to .jpg is as easy as taking a screenshot of your desktop and cropping it in paint.

I got a darker layout in mind for the tables. And as you can see in my proposed OP, I included a dark pic as the main banner as well. It's already a lot of white in the threads, wanted to brake the tables up against it a bit. How about you try to give the logo a bit of "the dark side" look?

Also, some ideas of what to include in the logo.
The globe.
Some stars.. 11 smaller sized and 1 bigger, the bigger one symbolize the final, and the other 11 each race.
Something about season "2", or "II"..
Something that will inform about the two classes.
And also, in a corner somewhere, include the flags for each class winners country?

A background, similar to the dark neon banner I put up in the OP?

But how do I transform my spreadsheet to a .jpg? Where? I can't find that option...
 
to save to .jpg you need to take screen shot, paste in paint and then when you save you can use the drop down menu and select .jpg
 
I would like some input for all of the NSX cars, if 610 PP is a good level for it.

I think it is, but I'm not that confident that I'm driving it in the best of ways since I've not driven it that much.

I did a 1:57.113 at Suzuka with the ARTA NSX, and 1:57.345 with the TAKATA DOME NSX (both at 610 pp, engine stage 3, and Power limited to 610 PP). Have not yet tryed the RAYBRING NSX. They should be on par though.

The EPSON NSX is excluded from the 2.nd season, WOODONE ADVAN CLARION GT-R and ENEOS SC430 as well.

And I would also like some feedback for the Nissan XANAVI NISMO Z, if the proposed PP limit is good or not. Thank you!

I'm gonna test the Nismo Z as I'm considering jumping into that beast. I'll let you know how I think it stacks up.

I'm at the moment trying to come up with some dates for a few pre-season races, and also decide what date we'll kick off 2nd season.

Pre-season race 1.
Monza, Tsukuba, Suzuka
June 11th.
CT: 19.30 PM (GMT), 21.30 PM (CET), 15.30 PM (EST).
GF: 20.00 PM (GMT), 22.00 PM (CET), 16.00 PM (EST).
We will race 3 shorter races at 3 totally different tracks. This is to get an idea of the different cars strong and weak sides. For best comparison, try one car for all races.

Pre-season race 2.
Fuji, Monaco, Indianapolis road.
June 24th
CT: 19.30 PM (GMT), 21.30 PM (CET), 15.30 PM (EST).
GF: 20.00 PM (GMT), 22.00 PM (CET), 16.00 PM (EST).
Same concept as the previous test, but this time, we use formation laps and all rules will apply as under the season. This is to let any of the new gutys to get to practice all procedures to straighten everuthing out before race 1.

I'm going to create a new thread called: "WSGTC 2 Pre-season", where we will open up sign-ups for the next season, and also complete the OP.

In here, we can keep the discussions about things that are not yet final. So anything regarding:

1. Cars PP's
2. Race Schedule
3. Mixed Class / Same Class
4. Teams

The rest is pretty much already decided, and most (I hope all) of it is alredy in the OP.
Only thing we need to add in the OP are the subjects listed above, and a few pictures instead of the poor looking points schedule for example.

About the team idea:
I'm leaning towards removing the team idea. It's a fun feature, but will do more harm than good. It will be another sheet to update, decrease the diversity of the grid, and also limit the amount of cars to pick.

I like the teams idea but agree with chorda about it.

However we could wait till everyone picks their cars because there might be 2 with same car etc and then we could sort teams around that?
 
Yea, totally agree. But with or without teams, I still don't want to allow more than 2 from each livery. Probably 3 from each in GT300, but we'll wait and see what the grid will look like before comming to a final decition.
 
How about making Indianapolis road to a Mixed Class race as well?

Tsukuba and Monaco are out of the question, the enduros as well. I really enjoyed the Suzuka race that was mixed class though. But I don't want to make the last race a split division race, since I want all drivers to have a decent opportunity to gain maximum points in the final round in the race for the final 4. We could transform both Indianapolis road and Suzuka to mixed class, but if we do, we need to swap the Suzuka race with a same class race. How about put La Sarthe as the last race?
 
Yeah, I think Indy should be mixed too, not really any reason for it not to be. I'd also love to see the La Sarthe and Suzuka long endurance races as mixed class, but can understand if it doesn't end up that way. For me, Le Sarthe is just the perfect circuit for mixed class racing, and Suzuka mixed class this weekend was pretty awesome too.
 
Since I only get feedback that are for more mixed class races, I'm leaning towards moving the 24h Nurburgring race as the last race (same class), La Sarthe will be mixed, Indiana road as well. And the Suzuka enduro will also be mixed class and will take Nurburgring 24h's schedueled date.

But since we got a lot of split division races, perhaps we should offer an additional bonus for the guys who end up in D2. But that bonus will not be free.. Getting back to that in a few hours.
 
Personally the more mixed class the better I think. Tsukuba is a pretty boring circuit when the field is spread out but I once did a multi-class race there with these cars and it was amazing. You had to take advantage of the faster cars coming through and get drafts and double drafts. It was amazing!

Personally I think the majority of races should be multi-class
 
Mixed class's seem to be the way forward lol

im in 2 minds about points for div 2.

1. its their fault they are in div 2 (bit harsh i know)

2. Yes i would like them to have a chance of catching the leader guys if they have made a mistake to go into div 2

hope that makes sense but doesnt help you lol
 
Think giving out ballasts to the podiums for the next race? I don't know how much would be enough to dish out, but it might give the people at the back of the pack a little more chance, and making it so you don't have constant winners. Might even create more close racing.

Progressive penalties. First offense 20 then tack 5 to 10 seconds each offense. This will be something that maybe a driver can earn the time back with two races clean. He gets one infraction removed. It would take some tracking. But I personally am willing to help this league any way possible.

Say a driver gets two penalties in one race. With a +10 factor.

His total would be 50 seconds. He would the. Start the next race with a 30 second penalty factor. He goes two race clean back to 20.

He gets say two more next race. He will be getting 30+30+10 = 70seconds. Now he sits at a factor of 40 seconds.

Indy over tskuba

I wouldn't mind an original track just for GT tradition. Grand Valley would be my vote.
